In the news:

In addition to the massive earthquake in Turkey, we see some interesting news stories today:

1. The Revived Roman Empire gains (more) central control:

New euro 'empire' plot by Brussels

European Union chiefs are drawing up plans for a single “Treasury” to oversee tax and spending across the 17 eurozone nations.

The proposal, put forward by Herman Van Rompuy, the European Council president, would be the clearest sign yet of a new “United States of Europe”

The plan comes as European governments desperately trying to save the euro from collapse last night faced a new bombshell, with sources at the International Monetary Fund saying it would not pay for a second Greek bail-out.

The single Treasury plan emerged in Brussels yesterday as Europe’s finance ministers tried to find a way out of the crisis engulfing the eurozone. A full-scale rescue plan could cost about £1.75 trillion.

Mr Van Rompuy, who is regarded as being close to the German government, suggested plans for a “finance ministry” to be based either in Frankfurt or Paris. The EU already has its own “foreign ministry”, headed by Baroness Ashton, the former British Labour minister, and based in Brussels.

Euro crisis response: pieces of the puzzle being put in place

Key elements of a ‘comprehensive’ solution to the eurozone crisis are coming together amid an unprecedented series of meetings and summits in the European capital.

...another eurozone summit is to be held on Wednesday, where markets and foreign governments expect a comprehensive solution to the worst crisis in the European Union’s history to be delivered lest the eurozone crisis tip the world economy over into a second recession.

2. Iran-Iraq

U.S. pullback to leave 30,000 Iranian Al Qods fighters sitting in Iraq

Friday, Oct. 21, Obama reaffirmed that all US soldiers will be brought home from Iraq by the end of the year. Two days later, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pledged in Tajikistan: "To countries in the region, especially Iraq's neighbors, we want to emphasize that American will stand with our allies and friends, including Iraq, in defense of our common security and interests."

She spoke as the Obama administration was preparing to pull out of Iraq, leaving in Baghdad a government and national army incapable of defending the country against widening cycles of terror, headed by a prime minister under Tehran's thumb and more than 30,000 armed members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' terrorist arm, al Qods Brigades, deployed there.

The eight-year US military presence in Iraq ends therefore leaving Iran sitting pretty on its two key strategic goals:

1. The exit of American soldiers, whose presence in Iraq since the 2003 invasion was deemed in Tehran a continuous threat to its borders.

2. A weak Shiite-led government in place in Baghdad, heavily dependent on Tehran's will. Torn by strife among Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds, Iraq is in no state to obstruct Iran's hegemonic plans for the Persian Gulf and Syria.

The Iranian regime's right hand for achieving those goals was – and is - Al Qods commander Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the man also accused by Washington of masterminding the assassination plot.

Since then, he has expanded this control, DEBKAfile's military sources report, by injecting 30,000 al Qods fighting personnel into Iraq, all trained in guerrilla tactics to the standards of Western and Middle East elite units.

Today, Al Qods has the run of Baghdad's Green Zone, the top-security enclave built a cost of billions of American dollars to keep the US embassy and high commands in Iraq and its seat of government safe from terrorist bombs.

3. The Demise of the U.S.

Soros army launches Wall Street assault

MoveOn.org is planning to launch a protest movement of its own to compliment the Occupy Wall Street momentum with the stated goal of "make[ing] Wall Street pay" and rebuilding the entire U.S. financial system.

MoveOn.org is funded by the George Soros-funded Tides Foundation. Another grantee of Tides is the Adbusters magazine, which is reported to have come up with the Occupy Wall Street idea after Arab Spring protests toppled governments in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.

The new MoveOn.org Wall Street campaign serves as further evidence suggesting the anti-Wall Street movement is a well-planned campaign and not the spontaneous uprising its leaders claim.

Today, MoveOn.org is holding a planning meeting in Manhattan to discuss ways to take on Wall Street in coordination with Occupy Wall Street.

The email spelled out the new MoveOn campaign's connection to Occupy Wall Street:

"How is this connected to Occupy Wall Street? Our goal is to launch targeted local campaigns to complement the amazing work being done by brave Occupy Wall Street protesters – something MoveOn members around the country have been assking for. And we'll continue to do everything we can to support and stand in solidarity with #Occupy."

Warning! Progressives Plan for White House Control, 2012 and Permanently

...a “progressive” strategy is underway to eliminate the role of the states in electing a U.S. President. By transferring electoral votes to a “national popular vote” this “Compact” would usurp the role of the states as safeguarded by our Constitution. In doing so, it could also neutralize Obama’s critics — totally.

And it’s happening now, under the radar, with the general public in the dark. This “ultimate vote fraud” is intentionally complicated to keep it obscure until it’s too late to stop it.

This complete expose on the “National Popular Vote Compact” won’t be found elsewhere. Because of the complexity and urgency of this issue. read it through completely. See who is behind this scheme and what its intended consequences are.

Called the “National Popular Vote Compact” this movement has been in the works nationwide – without public attention – on a state-by-state level since at least 2008.

The NPVC is a bill now moving state-by-state to make the popular vote winner President by bypassing normal requirements to amend the Constitution.

This sneaky scheme to upend Constitutional rights and protections of all states and their residents in selecting the nation’s leader is underway as an explicit attempt to defeat the careful Constitutional amendment process with no public knowledge, no voter input, no public referendums and no input from states which object to this measure. All NPVC takes is a portion of current state houses to make it law for all of us – always!

Details:

Why would progressives want to switch to a National Popular Vote POTUS?

Do the math: The electoral vote system protects voting rights by giving every individual state a number of electoral votes representing the level of population. In this way, all states in the Union have a proportionate and representative say in who becomes President. It doesn’t matter if the state has more land mass than populace, or if more of the people live in rural areas, etc.

Here is what would happen with an NPVC that hands all the needed 270 Electoral Votes to the national popular vote winner: Those states with larger populations – especially those with heavily populated big cities will pick the President. Period.

The politically savvy know that big city voters trend “Democratic” – and that controlling big city vote results (by buying votes, duplicating votes, “fixing” vote count machines on a large scale basis – these are all “Democratic” party specialties!

Hi all. I was just curious about Iraq. Could or would Israel use the country of Iraq for missions against Iran's nuclear facilities before we completely get all of our troops out? Is Saudi Arabia still the most likely country for Israel to fly threw for an attack on Iran and their nf? Thanks in advance. -Jec

I think at this point (and recognizing how quickly things are changing in the ME) - that Saudi airspace is the most likely.

Does anybody else find it weird that turkey is not accepting help from other countries?

Scott said...

Its early. Watch - Russia will come to their aid as will Iran --- is my guess.

Scott said...

Looks like the IDF will aid and assist

Here

Predictably, Turkey declines the offer. Unbelievable.

Caver said...

Dylan, where are you hearing Turkey is refusing aid?

Not surprised they declined aid from Israel. Still, Israel is the only one with a proven track record of no nonsense getting on the ground and actually saving lives fast.

Come on Stephen, I've told you about posting the AC thing.....We know your view on that. Besides, if you see the AC you're in big trouble because you would have missed the Rapture. :)

Hope you didn't feel that quake the other day.

I sure hope we are gone before the progressives start stealing elections completely. As a person from a rural area the thought of the electoral college being swindled from us is most discouraging. I just hate what is happening to America. But my hope fortunately is not here but Heaven. Come soon Lord Jesus.

Scott- If I guessed the name of the AC, I would have a 1:7,000,000,000 chance. Using the scriptures and current events, can it be narrowed down more?

Dylan, thank you! Geepers, this world has gone inverted. Yea, I finally found a few saying pretty much the same thing.

Ugliness....

DrWho....I have always had a sneaking suspicion that the AC would be someone who rises seemingly out of nowhere, sorta like Obama did.....Who knows. Ultimately, IMO, your first number is probably correct !
