The Great Zombie Awokening

The Great Zombie Awokening
Lee W. Brainard

There is a powerful revival going on in America. It is not, however, a revival of truth and faith, but a revival of lies and unbelief. This swell of disruption and darkness reminds me of a zombie movie. The zombies we face, however, are not the undead but the woke, whose brains have been reprogrammed to hate the morality and ethics of the Bible. I call this revival the Great Awokening.

In the movies the undead swell their ranks by biting or scratching men, thus spreading the infection. The zombies we face swell their ranks by shaming, bullying, and intimidating men until they surrender and accept the infection — searing their conscience, flushing reason and independent thinking down the potty, and adopting the serpentine group-think.

In the movies the zombies can’t be stopped with standard weapons. Likewise, the zombies we face can’t be stopped with standard weapons like facts, logic, and truth. Such things bounce off of them like water balloons off tanks.  How can they be so impervious to the truth? Because for all practical purposes, these folks have received the baptism of the unholy ghost. They have embraced the anti-gospel, emptied themselves of any vestige of biblical truth, and allowed themselves to be filled with the lies and venom of their father, the devil, this evil influence being administered through powerful demonic influence.Where did the zombies come from? From the serpent and his lies. But zombies are not common sinners who can still be brought to repentance and faith. They are apostates who shunned the light with such intentionally wicked rebellion that they fried their moral circuitry and passed into the realm of brain-dead zombies.  They have sold out to darkness...

Cain was the first zombie. He loved unrighteousness and slew his brother Abel who was righteous. The zombies multiplied and filled the world with evil. God dealt a powerful blow to this evil with the flood in the days of Noah. But soon thereafter the zombies rose to dominance again and built the tower of Babel. God slowed them down by dividing the peoples into nations with distinct languages. A few centuries later, the zombies ruled the roost in Sodom and Gomorrha and the other cities on the plain. God destroyed them by fire.  But the zombies kept coming back. The zombies contended with Moses in the wilderness, with the prophets throughout the Old Testament, with Christ when he walked the dusty roads and streets of Israel. The zombies persecuted the church in ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Inquisition. The zombies are still here today.

But the new breed of zombies surpasses the old breed in its repudiation of truth. They have gone beyond the old-school religionists, atheists, and rejectors of moral absolutes that have been around since the ancient days. This new breed started evolving out of the old during the Renaissance in the 1400s. Since then their numbers and arguments have experienced steady growth with several quantum leaps. The first was Rationalism in the 1600s. The next was evolution and Marxism in the 1800s. Things started turning sharply upward in the 1960s and 70s with Rock music, moral declension, abortion, and a huge infiltration into public education.

Now it has turned up even steeper again — heading nearly vertical — with LGBTQ, man-caused global warming, depopulation, euthanasia, gerocide, critical race theory, genetic manipulation, transhumanism, veganism, rejection of petroleum and cars, rejection of sovereign states, one-world government, one-world financial system, the end of freedom and privacy, all mankind wired into the system. Soon the zombie horde will reach critical mass, bringing vicious, militant opposition to the Bible, Christians, Israel, biblical morality, indeed every institution of God.

This zombie horde can’t be stopped. It will overwhelm the entire world. No religion, ideology, or philosophy will be able to withstand it, Christendom included.  When the world is ready, the mystery of iniquity will trot out the antichrist. For all practical purposes, the state at that time will be god: framing morality, meeting man’s needs, requiring man to worship the emperor as the embodiment of god. Then the zombie message will kick into high gear, attempting to force the entire planet to accept the zombie virus.

Thank God, true believers can’t be infected by the zombie message because their heart, through the indwelling Spirit of Christ, is impervious to its lies and tactics. Oh, they may struggle with it on a superficial level. They may be confused on a point or two. They may suffer loss and distress. They may shed tears. They may burn with anger. But they can’t be subverted because the Holy Spirit can’t be corrupted. And thank God, too, for the rapture. We won’t be on earth when the mystery of iniquity comes to a head, the man of sin is revealed, and the zombie horde takes full control of the world. We have guaranteed tickets on Morning Star Airlines for the flight out of this world before the hour of trial begins.

In the mean time, however, the church has a job, warning those who have not yet  been infected by the zombie virus and offering them the zombie vaccination — not a weakened form of zombieism but the everlasting gospel — which not only preserves them from the virus but gives them eternal life.

Eyes wide open, brain engaged, heart on fire.

Israel Is Approaching A Prophetic Milestone Few Generations Thought Possible

Israel Is Approaching A Prophetic Milestone Few Generations Thought Possible

For nearly 2,000 years, the Jewish people lived primarily outside the land of Israel. They survived expulsions, persecution, pogroms and eventually the Holocaust, scattered across virtually every corner of the world.

Now that extraordinary pattern of history is moving rapidly in the opposite direction.

New figures released by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics estimate the worldwide Jewish population at approximately 15.9 million. About 46 percent of them now live in Israel.

And according to one of the world's leading Jewish demographers, Israel could cross an astonishing threshold within the next decade: for the first time in the modern era, a majority of the world's Jews could be living in the land of Israel.

Professor Sergio DellaPergola has projected that the symbolic 50 percent threshold could be crossed as early as 2035 if current demographic trends continue.

For students of Bible prophecy, this is far more interesting than another population statistic.

Something is happening to the Jewish people that the prophets described thousands of years ago.

From 5 Percent To Nearly Half

Consider how dramatically the picture has changed.

At the end of World War II, only about 5 percent of the world's Jewish population lived in Israel. By 2023, that number had climbed to approximately 45 percent.

Israel's Jewish population grew from roughly half a million in 1945 to more than seven million, while the Jewish population outside Israel declined over that same broad period.

DellaPergola has described Israel as essentially the major growing component of world Jewry. Higher fertility, immigration and demographic decline or stagnation in many Diaspora communities continue pushing the center of Jewish life toward Israel.

If those trends continue, sometime around the middle of the next decade the scales could finally tip.

After centuries in which the overwhelming majority of Jews lived among the nations, the majority could once again be living in their ancestral homeland.

The prophets repeatedly said such a gathering would happen.

"I Will Gather You"

Ezekiel recorded God's declaration to Israel:

"I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land." — Ezekiel 36:24

Jeremiah described the same remarkable future:

"He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock." — Jeremiah 31:10

Isaiah spoke of the Lord gathering "the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." Ezekiel's famous vision of the dry bones portrayed Israel being restored from what appeared to be national death.

For most of Christian history, these passages presented an extraordinary question.

Where was Israel?

There was no Jewish state. Jerusalem was controlled by successive foreign powers. Jews were scattered throughout Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and eventually the Americas.

Anyone insisting that the prophets meant what they said had to believe that history could somehow reverse itself.

Then came 1948.

Israel returned to the map.

And the gathering continued.

The Prophetic Story Didn't End In 1948

Christians sometimes speak about the rebirth of Israel as though the prophetic event happened on May 14, 1948, and everything afterward has simply been political history.

But the biblical picture of restoration involves more than establishing a government. It repeatedly involves the Jewish people themselves returning to the land.

That process has continued for nearly eight decades.

Jews arrived from Europe after the Holocaust. Hundreds of thousands came from Middle Eastern and North African countries. Later came enormous waves from the former Soviet Union. Ethiopian Jews were brought home in dramatic airlifts. Jews have continued making aliyah from France, Britain, the United States, Ukraine, Russia and elsewhere.

And the gathering is not merely something found in Israel's history books. More than 20,000 new olim from over 100 countries are expected to celebrate their first Rosh Hashanah as Israeli citizens this year. Russia, France and the United States lead the list, but newcomers are arriving from across North America, Europe, South America and Australia.

Even more striking is when they are coming. Israel has endured the October 7 massacre, years of war, missile attacks and direct conflict with Iran. War normally sends people fleeing in the opposite direction. Yet thousands of Jews are still packing their belongings and moving toward Israel.

Many are young. Thirty-five percent of this year's new immigrants are between 18 and 35. One 19-year-old immigrant from New York described how October 7 changed him spiritually: he became more religious and came to see Zionism and faith as inseparable. He moved to Israel and now hopes to serve meaningfully in the IDF.

Other new immigrants speak about deeper meaning, stronger Jewish community and wanting their children to experience a sense of belonging in the land of Israel. For some, October 7 strengthened that sense of solidarity and accelerated a decision already taking shape.

The prophets spoke repeatedly of Jews returning from many countries. What previous generations could only imagine, today's Israelis can watch arriving through Ben Gurion Airport.

The result is now visible in the numbers.

The nation that contained only a tiny fraction of world Jewry several generations ago is approaching the point where it could contain most of them.

Four earthquake clusters are appearing across Southern California—in Inglewood, Ojai near the Sisar Fault, offshore Avalon, and Anza–Warner Springs. Are these isolated events, or a warning sign involving the San Jacinto and San Andreas fault systems?

Italian international airport shuts down after Mount Etna starts spewing volcanic ash

Italian international airport shuts down after Mount Etna starts spewing volcanic ash

An airport in Sicily was forced to temporarily shut down again today after volcanic ash was spewed out of Mount Etna.

'Arrivals and departures at Catania Airport are suspended,' the airport said in a statement on its website.

All flights at the airport will be suspended until 10pm local time (9pm UK time) on Monday.

Catania Airport is Sicily's main gateway and Italy's fifth-busiest airport by passenger traffic. Airlines operating flights between Catania and the UK include British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair and Wizz Air.

The recent eruption has prompted experts at the Etna Volcano Observatory to issue a red VONA (Volcano Observatory Notice to Aviation) alert for the ash cloud, which drifted towards the airport.

The airport, that usually services around 12 million passengers a year, was also closed for a week in August during the peak summer season.

Mount Etna is Europe's highest and most active volcano at 3,324 metres (nearly 11,000 feet), which has caused numerous disruptions to flights.

But ash emissions have been more frequent this summer, causing flight disruption to thousands of travellers and locals.

This has sparked growing calls in Italy for Catania airport to be closed and for other hubs in Sicily to be expanded because of the proximity to Etna, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) away.

SAC said 36 per cent of flights bound for Catania were cancelled between August 6 and August 12. More than 600 flights were diverted to nearby airports including Palermo, Trapani, Comiso and Lamezia Terme.

The eruption in August drew crowds of visitors to Mount Etna where spectacular lava flows could be observed close up.

But, as a result, Sicily's primary airport was forced to shut for five consecutive days - leaving thousands of tourists, including Brits, stranded.

It was the longest period the airport has had to close since 2002.

Catania Airport said on Monday: 'Due to Mount Etna's eruptive activity, the airspace corresponding to sectors C1 and B3 has been closed.

'Arrivals and departures at Catania Airport are suspended until 10pm local time.

'Passengers are kindly requested to check the status of their flight with their airline before travelling to the airport. Further updates will follow in the coming hours.'

Ukraine Pummels Black Sea Resort Near Putin's Villa With Air & Sea Drones

Ukraine sent some 400 drones across various parts of Russia and Crimea overnight, with UAV attacks having long been a nightly thing.

In this latest instance, the Black Sea resort city of Sochi suffered the most casualties, with five people - including a child - wounded in a drone attack. Several homes were also damaged in the assault.

The injuries in Sochi were due to "falling UAV debris" - local officials indicated Monday on Telegram. Sochi Mayor Andrei Proshunin later confirmed firefighters extinguished fires that resulted, with citizens being warned not to approach drone debris left from the attack.

Sochi has long been where President Putin has a sprawling vacation resort. He also used to frequently host foreign heads of state at the house.

The Telegraph reports that Putin's vacation residence may have been targeted in the overnight drone attack:

Ukraine launched strikes near Vladimir Putin’s seaside villa in the Black Sea resort of Sochi overnight, injuring five people. Footage posted online purported to show Ukrainian drones descending on the city, with large explosions and the thud of local air defence audible.

...Local Telegram channels reported strikes on an S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, many of which have come under fire in recent weeks after military intelligence found that the defensive systems were being repurposed to strike ground targets in Ukraine.

One channel claimed that drones had targeted Putin’s Bocharov Ruchey summer dacha, a coastal compound in a busy area of the city. The Russian president is believed to have largely stopped visiting the residence since it came within range of Kyiv’s drones.

The city mayor has ordered a temporary beach closure, also after last week sea drones unleashed even greater casualties and mayhem.

"Proshunin later announced the closure of Sochis beache’s due to the ongoing risk of drone strikes," Moscow Times writes.

Ukrainian sea drones — which Russia’s Defense Ministry calls “uncrewed boats” — struck the waterfront in Sochi on the evening of September 9. Twenty-eight people were injured, including two children, Krasnodar Krai’s operational headquarters reported. All those injured have received medical treatment; three adults and one child remain hospitalized.

The attack began around 9 p.m., just as singer Tatiana Bulanova was performing a concert at the Festivalny House of Culture on the waterfront. The concert was halted and the audience evacuated.

One local resident recounted what happened: “My wife was at the concert. During the evacuation, people were falling, running in panic. Explosions could be heard all around. She fell while running to the car. She was knocked down by the blast wave. You could really feel the shock wave after each explosion. They were very close.”

Ukraine has been seeking to impose a steep cost on the Russian population of late, hoping that it puts enough pressure on President Putin to come to the negotiating table while willing to compromise.
