Cuban Crisis 2.0? Russia Considering Military Base In Cuba: 'Active Phase Of Assessing This Scenario Is Underway'

Russia Eyeing Military Base In Cuba As US Prepares To Leave Nuclear Missile Deal

A senior Russian official proposed that his country is seriously considering establishing a military base in Cuba in response to Trump’s plan to quit the INF treaty, predicting that "a new Cuban crisis" could erupt if the US and Russia fail to come to terms.
According to General Vladimir Shamanov, the head of the Russian lower house of parliament's defense committee and a former airborne troops commander, with the US planning on walking away from the Cold War-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Force (INF) treaty, Russia's response should be in the "spirit of those times", by reactivating Russian military facilities in Cuba.
The U.S. and Russia have accused one another of violating the agreement, but President Donald Trump has announced his intention to now end it, paving the way for new nuclear and conventional weapons systems at a time of heightened tensions, Newsweek reported.

"In order to strengthen our military presence in Cuba, we need at least the consent of the Cuban government. After all, this question is more political than military, and today, it’s probably premature to talk about any specific measures in response to a possible U.S. withdrawal from INF," Shamanov told the Interfax news agency.
"Now the active phase of assessing this scenario is underway and proposals will next be prepared with estimates," he added.
This issue may be raised when Cuba’s new president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, visits Russia in early November. Diaz-Canel, a fresh face of Cuba’s Communist Party, is wary of foreign military presence, but “politics is living matter,” Shamanov said, adding that “Cuba has its own interests and it was hurt by US sanctions."
The Russian politician went on to say that he would "not exclude" the prospect of a Russian military base in the Caribbean country coming up during these talks, which would also reportedly include a $50 million Russian loan for Cuba to buy weapons. Selected by his country's National Assembly to replace 86-year-old Raúl Castro in April, Díaz-Canel will then go on to visit the world's four other communist countries—China, North Korea, Vietnam and Laos.
Last week, Shamanov himself told the official RIA Novosti outlet that "if we don’t stop now and don’t sit down to talk, then we could, in the long run, create conditions comparable to the Caribbean crisis." That same day, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov told the state-run Tass Russian News Agency that "the danger is that the United States is pushing the world to another Cuban Missile Crisis."

Moscow’s response to Trump’s plans to quit the INF treaty could be to reinstall military bases in Cuba, the State Duma defense committee head said. He also predicted “a new Cuban crisis” if the US and Russia fail to come to terms.
The US is planning to walk away from the crucial Cold War-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, and Russia’s response may well be in the spirit of those times – namely, reactivating military facilities in Cuba. That is according to Vladimir Shamanov, the head of the State Duma defense committee and a former Airborne Troops commander.
Indeed, the Cuban government has to allow the Russian military back, and this is more about politics than defense issues, Shamanov speculated.
“Assessing this scenario is underway, and [policy] proposals will come next,” he told Russia’s Interfax News Agency without elaborating.
This issue may be raised when Cuba’s new president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, visits Russia in early November. Diaz-Canel, a fresh face of Cuba’s Communist Party, is wary of foreign military presence, but “politics is living matter,” Shamanov said.
“Cuba has its own interests and it was hurt by US sanctions,” he added.

Previously, the retired Airborne General urged Moscow and Washington to come to terms and get back to reconciliation.
“If we don’t stop it now and don’t talk, we actually may create conditions similar to those [which led to the] Cuban crisis,”he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The Cuban Missile Crisis was a major confrontation that brought the United States and the Soviet Union to the brink of nuclear war in early 1960s. During the standoff, Moscow stationed Soviet nuclear-tipped missiles in Cuba in response to the deployment of similar-class American missiles in Turkey.
Throughout the course of the Cold War, Russia operated a signals intelligence facility in Lourdes, Cuba. Opened in 1967, it was said to be the largest Soviet listening station abroad, with 3,000 personnel running the facility. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Lourdes base was downscaled, but continued operating up until 2001, when it stopped all operations.

Restoring Russia’s military presence in Cuba would make a lot of sense, Viktor Murakhovsky told RT. He said reactivating the Lourdes base should not require substantial funding, but it would allow the gathering of “interesting intelligence about Cuba’s neighbor.” He noted, however: “The times when we deployed missiles in Cuba will not come back.”
Konstantin Sivkov, another military expert and a retired Navy officer, disagreed, stating it is unlikely the Russian military will return to the island. “[In the 1960s] we were forced to make this decision [to deploy missiles to Cuba] because we didn’t have enough intercontinental ballistic missiles. Now we have.”
US President Donald Trump sent shockwaves earlier in October when he promised to withdraw from the INF treaty, citing the evergreen ‘Russia violated agreements’ argument. Russia fired back, stating the US itself had breached the milestone accord by deploying ground-based missile interceptors in Eastern Europe.

Saudia Arabia: Coup 'Imminent'

Saudi Coup "Imminent" As Crown Prince's Uncle Arrives To Oust "Toxic" MbS

The youngest brother of Saudi Arabia's King Salman has returned from self-imposed exile to "challenge" Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) "or find someone who can," reports the Middle East Eye.

Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz is reportedly hoping to oust his 33-year-old nephew in the wake of an allegedly state-sanctioned murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. MbS has virtual control over Saudi Arabia after a June 2017 shakeup in which King Salman removed Muhammad bin Nayef as heir apparent.

The septuagenarian prince, an open critic of bin Salman (MBS), has travelled with security guarantees given by US and UK officials.
He and others in the family have realised that MBS has become toxic,” a Saudi source close to Prince Ahmad told Middle East Eye.
"The prince wants to play a role to make these changes, which means either he himself will play a major role in any new arrangement or to help to choose an alternative to MBS." -Middle East Eye

Prince Ahmad has reportedly been meeting with other members of the Saudi royal family living outside the kingdom, along with "figures inside the kingdom" who have encouraged him to usurp his nephew. According to MEE, "there are three senior princes who support Prince Ahmad's move," who remain unnamed to protect their security.
According to Saudi dissident Prince Khalid Bin Farhan Al Saud, he expects a coup to be orchestrated against King Salman and MbS, as reported by the Middle East Monitorwhich reports that a coup is "imminent."
"The coming period will witness a coup against the king and the crown prince," said Prince Khalid while commenting on the Khashoggi murder.

Texas Landowners Warned About Possible Influx Of 'Armed Civilians' Confronting Caravan

Texas Border Residents Warned Of "Armed Civilians" Confronting Caravan; Trump Says Military Mobilized

Texas landowners along the US-Mexico border have reportedly been told this week by the US Border Patrol to expect a possible influx of "armed civilians" on their property as a Central American migrant caravan makes its way towards the United States, reports AP

The Associated Press reported that these civilians say they intend to support the National Guard and Border Patrol to prevent the illegal migrants from crossing into the U.S.
But some see the move as a negative, arguing that the armed civilians' presence would add even more tension should there be a confrontation.
Three activists told the AP they were going to the border or organizing others, and groups on Facebook have posted warnings about the caravan. One said it was “imperative that we have boots on the ground.” Another wrote: “WAR! SECURE THE BORDER NOW!” -Associated Press
Texas Minuteman militia president Shannon McGauley told AP that the group has members stationed at three points throughout the state's border, and expects 25-100 more arriving in coming days.

Militia border patrols are nothing new, as civilians will typically alert border patrol to apprehend trespassers.
On Wednesday, President Trump issued a new warning about the caravan and its "very tough fighters and people," tweeting: "The Caravans are made up of some very tough fighters and people. Fought back hard and viciously against Mexico at Northern Border before breaking through. Mexican soldiers hurt, were unable, or unwilling to stop Caravan. Should stop them before they reach our Border, but won’t!"
Trump then reiterated that the US military "is being mobilized at the Southern Border" with "Many more troops coming."
"TURN AROUND!" he added:

The caravan, which is now estimated at 4,000 people after many have turned around or accepted asylum in Mexico, is currently around 1,000 miles south of the US border and estimated to arrive in around a week thanks to organizations which have been aiding the Central Americans, including a reported organized busing operation
As Fox News report on Tuesday showed, migrants traveling with the caravan are being loaded on to chartered buses and transported to the next stop on the trail to the US, having refused Mexico's offer of asylum, shelter and jobs should they opt to stay in the country. Fox News reporter Griff Jenkins revealed that multiple professional buses have lined up to board the migrants, as footage from the report showed.

Meanwhile, President Trump told Fox News on Monday that the migrants are "wasting their time" and said "they are not coming in," adding that the US would build giant tent cities to house migrants who made it over the border, as opposed to the longstanding policy of "catch and release" by which migrants were assigned court dates and allowed to leave - typically never to be seen again.

"If they applied for asylum, we’re going to hold them until such time as their trial takes place," Trump told the Fox News host.
"Where? We have the facilities?" she asked.
"We’re going to put up - we’re going to build tent cities," Trump responded. "We’re going to put tents up all over the place. We’re not going to build structures and spend all of this, you know, hundreds of millions of dollars -- we’re going to have tents."
"They're going to be very nice," he added.

At this rate the migrants are scheduled for a showdown right around midterms.

Impending Oil Sanctions May Force Iranian Response - The Use Of Saeghe Stealth Drones A Concern

US Mid East forces brace for trouble from Iran over impending oil sanctions

The threat of a forceful Iranian response to the US embargo on its oil sales, which goes into effect on Nov. 5 ,was contained in Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif’s remark on Tuesday, Oct. 30: “Unfortunately, a law-breaking country seeks to punish a country that abides by the law… This method will have severe consequences for the world order.” The threat of “consequences to the world order” may be translated into such options as Iranian disruption of world oil supplies, a substantial military attack on US or Arab Middle East targets, on Israel – or all of these actions in successive stages.

Iran has concentrated in Iraq and along its Gulf coast large numbers of Saeghe stealth drones (modeled on the advanced US RQ-170 Sentinel captured by Tehran in 2011). Al Qods Brigades forces operating in Syria have also been armed with these sophisticated drones. UAVs of different types were given to the Iraqi Shiite militias serving Tehran at home and in Syria as well as the Lebanese Hizballah.

The Saege drones have taken over the tasks of the exploding speedboats formerly used by Revolutionary Guards as primary weapons against Western and Arab oil tanker shipping in the Persian Gulf.

The Iranian drone attack on ISIS concentrations in eastern Syria on Oct. 1 appeared to many Western and Middle East military experts to have been a kind of dress rehearsal for the use of this UAV for deadly air strikes on US, Israeli or Arab targets.

Then, 11 of these stealth drones were launched from Iran and flew across the entire width of Iraq to reach their targets, without being intercepted or even sighted by US, Israeli or Jordanian forces. The Saeghes hit Syrian base with miniature, precision-guided Sadid-345 glide bombs. Then, this Revolutionary Guards weapon made its debut performance in real combat conditions and returned safely to base. Al Qods chief Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani has been placed in charge of all forthcoming Iran’s military preparations.

Iran Hit By Computer Virus To Infrastructure And Strategic Networks - More Violent Than Stuxnet - Israel Silent

TV report: Israel silent as Iran hit by computer virus more violent than Stuxnet

Iranian infrastructure and strategic networks have come under attack in the last few days by a computer virus similar to Stuxnet but “more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated,” and Israeli officials are refusing to discuss what role, if any, they may have had in the operation, an Israeli TV report said Wednesday.
The report came hours after Israel said its Mossad intelligence agency had thwarted an Iranian murder plot in Denmark, and two days after Iran acknowledged that President Hassan Rouhani’s mobile phone had been bugged. It also follows a string of Israeli intelligence coups against Iran, including the extraction from Tehran in January by the Mossad of the contents of a vast archive documenting Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the detailing by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the UN in September of other alleged Iranian nuclear and missile assets inside Iran, in Syria and in Lebanon.
“Remember Stuxnet, the virus that penetrated the computers of the Iranian nuclear industry?” the report on Israel’s Hadashot news asked. Iran “has admitted in the past few days that it is again facing a similar attack, from a more violent, more advanced and more sophisticated virus than before, that has hit infrastructure and strategic networks.”

The Iranians, the TV report went on, are “not admitting, of course, how much damage has been caused.”
On Sunday, Gholamreza Jalali, the head of Iran’s civil defense agency, said Tehran had neutralized a new version of Stuxnet, Reuters reported.“Recently we discovered a new generation of Stuxnet which consisted of several parts … and was trying to enter our systems,” Jalali said.
The Stuxnet virus was uncovered some eight years ago, and was widely reported to have been developed together by US and Israeli intelligence. It penetrated Iran’s rogue nuclear program, taking control and sabotaging parts of its enrichment processes by speeding up its centrifuges.
Netanyahu is adamant that the Iranian regime remains determined to attain a nuclear weapons arsenal, and has bitterly opposed the P5+1 powers’ 2015 deal with Iran. US President Donald Trump, with whom Netanyahu is closely allied, withdrew from the accord in May.

Referring to Stuxnet, Wednesday’s TV report noted that “in the past, the US and Israel have been alleged to have worked together on operations.” Trying to establish whether Israel had any role in the latest cyberattack, the TV report said: “We’ve tried to clarify here. They’re refusing to comment.”

The TV report noted that “behind the scenes lately, the Mossad,” under its director Yossi Cohen, has been “fighting a real shadow war.”
Without attributing responsibility to the Mossad, the report mentioned the tapping of Rouhani’s phone, noting that the Iranians “had to switch it for an encrypted model because they understand that someone has been listening to him for days and weeks.”
On Sunday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged intensified efforts to counter enemy “infiltration,” Reuters said.

Iran’s foreign minister on Wednesday accused Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency of carrying out “false flag” operations in a bid to undermine the Islamic Republic’s global standing.
The claim came after Israeli officials said the Mossad tipped off its Danish counterpart to a plot by Iranian intelligence to kill three opposition figures living in Denmark.
Iran has denied it was behind the alleged assassination plans, which were revealed by Denmark on Tuesday, claiming they were part of a European conspiracy against it.

“Mossad’s perverse & stubborn planting of false flags (more on this later) only strengthens our resolve to engage constructively with the world,” Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote in a tweet accompanied by photos of him meeting with officials from Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Denmark’s accusations against Iran followed the unveiling of another suspected Iranian plot to target a Paris rally by an opposition group in June. According to Israeli reports, the Mossad helped thwart that attack as well, which led to the arrest of several Iranians in Europe, including a diplomat.
US President Donald Trump has cited Iran’s support for terror around the globe as a reason behind his decision to pull out of the 2015 nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions, most of which kick back into effect next week.
Earlier Wednesday, Denmark’s prime minister said he was speaking with European countries about possible sanctions on Iran over the alleged attack plot, but said any response should not undermine the nuclear deal.
That sentiment was echoed by the European Union, who has played a key role in working to preserve the agreement after Trump announced in May the United States would pull out of the pact negotiated under his predecessor Barack Obama.

Israel: PLO Torpedoing Peace With Vote Not To Recognize State Of Israel

PLO announces will no longer recognize the State of Israel -  -

Israeli politicians slammed the PLO Central Council’s non-binding decision on Monday to suspend its recognition of the State of Israel and halt security coordination with the IDF.

The PLO’s council in Ramallah voted to cut its ties with Israel unless it recognized the state of Palestine at the pre-1967 lines with east Jerusalem as its capital.

“The [PLO] is making a mistake.

It’s worrisome that Ramallah is going in this direction,” Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon told Army Radio on Tuesday.

“Over the last year, Ramallah has become more and more extreme, and is torpedoing any chance of an agreement,” Kahlon said.

Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid called it a “bad joke.”

“For all we care, they can decide not to recognize the sun, the invention of the wheel and gravity,” Lapid said.

“We established a glorious state with our own hands without asking anyone. We will continue to build strong and safe Israel, and when the Palestinians decide to recognize reality they are more than welcome to give us a call.”

The PLO said that a committee will now be created to examine the recommendation, which would also need the approval of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

The council wants to cease compliance with the 1993 Oslo Accord, which set out a transitionary phase during which the Palestinians would move toward statehood.

The council has declared that this temporary phase, which was intended to last for five to seven years, is over. It insisted that Palestinian statehood must be recognized now.

Formal adoption of the PLO Central Council’s recommendation would bring the Oslo Accord to an end.

It’s the second time this year that the PLO has issued such a declaration, having done so in January as well. The twin decisions speak of the frustration of Fatah and the PLO with the swift changes the Trump Administration has wrought with respect to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Palestinian cause is more in need now than it was in January of a grand gesture to gain attention.

A council statement posted on the Wafa News Agency site said, ”In view of Israel’s continued denial of the signed agreements, the PCC (PLO Central Council), in confirmation of its previous decision and considering that the transitional phase no longer exists, decides to end the commitments of the PLO and the Palestinian Authority towards its agreements with the occupying power, suspend recognition of the state of Israel until its recognition of the state of Palestine on the June 4, 1967 borders with east Jerusalem as its capital, end security coordination in all its forms, and disengage economically from Israel on the grounds that the transitional phase, including the Paris Economic Protocols no longer exist.”

The move comes as relations between the United States and the Palestinian Authority are at an all time low, with the Trump Administration’s decisions to close the PA’s representative office in Washington, DC and its pseudo embassy to the PA, the Consulate General in Jerusalem.

The Trump Administration has also cut its financial assistance to the PA and to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency.

The PLO’s dramatic statement also comes as Egypt, the UN and Israel have bypassed the PA in hopes of reaching an understanding or long-term truce with Hamas in Gaza that would put an end to the rocket fire and border violence.

Egypt and the UN have pressured Abbas to halt the severe sanctions he has imposed on the Gaza Strip, including cutting funding for fuel and the cessation of salary payments, in hopes of forcing Hamas to end its 11-year rule of the enclave.

In its statement Monday, the PLO said only its representatives and not Hamas, were authorized to negotiate a deal to end the Gaza violence with Israel.

Security To Increase At American Jewish Institutions

In Europe, synagogues are fortresses. Is this the path for the US?

Will security at American Jewish institutions now mirror that of Europe, with its police protection, armed guards, panic rooms and sterile zones at synagogues?
It’s a possibility that is being debated more seriously than ever before following the Tree of Life Congregation shooting Saturday in Pittsburgh in which a gunman killed 11 people.
Rabbi Jack Moline, president of the Interfaith Alliance, told The Washington Post that posting armed guards outside synagogues in some places would be “prohibitive” to Jewish communal life itself.

But Gary Sikorski, director of security for the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, told the Detroit Jewish News that the idea, suggested by President Donald Trump after the attack, is “not a bad one.”

European security professionals say that even if Sikorski’s approach prevails, it will take at least a decade and hundreds of millions of dollars before US Jewry’s security infrastructure matches the European counterpart.
“The security doctrine you see in Europe is the result of decades of evolution,” said Ophir Revach, director of the European Jewish Congress’ Security and Crisis Center. “It was built on lessons from terrorist attacks in the 1960s and adjusted constantly. It’s pretty comprehensive.”
Even if a critical mass of US Jewish communities decide tomorrow that they want to replicate the European model, Revach said, “Optimistically speaking, it will take at least a decade to achieve.” When it comes to security, he said, “American Jewry is at the beginning of a long journey.”

In several European countries, synagogues are under constant protection of police or army troops. Most of them have volunteer guards, including armed ones. Many also have a security command room, where trained professionals or volunteers use elaborate video surveillance systems to monitor their premises, often while exchanging information with other Jewish institutions in real-time.
These arrangements regularly prevent violence against congregants.
In 2015, a volunteer guard outside Copenhagen’s main synagogue was shot dead after engaging an armed Islamist who had intended to carry out a shooting attack inside the building, where dozens of people were celebrating a bat mitzvah. Dan Uzan’s intervention allowed police to shoot the assailant, who never made it inside the shul.

A year earlier, a dozen or so volunteer guards staved off dozens of rioters who had intended to storm the Synagogue de la Roquette in Paris as payback for Israel’s actions in Gaza. As 200 worshippers waited inside, the defenders held their ground for 20 minutes amid a vicious street brawl with the attackers until police finally arrived at the scene.

Rumors Of War: U.S.-China War Looming? Russia Bracing For Conflict? Week Of Warmongering Predictions

US-China war looming? Russia bracing for conflict? Week of warmongering predictions by top officials

Several top officials have issued thinly veiled – and outright blunt – ‘warnings’ about war over the past week. While the beating of war drums worldwide remains just hot air for now, many messengers seem a bit too eager about it.

War between US and China just 10-15 years away

A grim prognosis was made by former US commander in Europe Lieutenant-General Ben Hodges (retired), who spoke last week at the Warsaw Security Forum. He urged European countries to do more for their own "security," explaining that Washington has "to deal with the Chinese threat" in the Pacific.
The United States needs a very strong European pillar. I think in 15 years – it's not inevitable – but it is a very strong likelihood that we will be at war with China.
While European security remains top priority for the US, the former official added, the country will also have to prepare for "the eventuality that in 10 or 15 years we're going to be having to fight in the Pacific."

China's preparing for war too

Less-than-subtle ‘warnings’ from the US were not left unanswered in China, with President Xi Jinping telling his military officers that they should be ready for war.
"It's necessary to strengthen the mission… and concentrate preparations for fighting a war," President Xi said last Thursday, addressing officers responsible for the troubled waters of the South China Sea.
We have to step up combat readiness exercises, joint exercises and confrontational exercises to enhance servicemen's capabilities and preparation for war.

Moscow too?

Moscow is preparing for war as well – at least according to deputy director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of Nonproliferation and Arms Control, Andrey Belousov.
At a recent meeting, the US stated that Russia is preparing for war. Yes, Russia is preparing for war, I can confirm it.
The official pinned the blame for the soaring tensions on the US and its recently announced move to abandon the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF). A revised nuclear doctrine "that lowers the threshold for nuclear weapons use" and Washington's desire to beef up its nuclear arsenal only reinforce such beliefs, according to Belousov.
"Linguistically, this difference is in just one word, both in Russian and in English; Russia is preparing for war, and the US is preparing a war," Belousov said.

Once again, Israel has 'no choice' except war

Even the Middle East, ravaged by perpetual wars for over two decades, was somewhat taken aback after hawkish remarks by Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman. Last week, while accusing the Hamas group of "orchestrating"clashes between Palestinian civilians and Israeli military, the official said:
Wars are only conducted when there is no choice, and now there is no choice.
Over the 21st century, Tel Aviv has experienced said "lack of choice" at least five times.

Turkey's ready as well?

Ankara is ready to meet Greek "aggression" and crush its military within three-to-four hours, believes Yigit Bulut, top advisor for Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He boasted on local TV, while commenting on a recent incident between a Greek frigate and a Turkish search and exploration vessel:
Greece will end up in a catastrophe within three to four hours if it wages a war against Turkey.
The Greeks are not the only ones to feel Turkey's wrath, as Erdogan himself issued a new threat against Kurdish militias –which Ankara holds to be terrorists– operating in Syria.
Speaking on Tuesday to legislators, he promised that the Kurds were to "soon" again experience Turkish "comprehensive and effective" force.

Leaked Documents: UN And Soros Responsible For Coming Migrant Invasion

Leaked Documents Prove that U.N. and Soros Responsible For Coming Migrant Invasion

Leaked Documents Prove Soros’s Open Society Is Working With UN In Supporting Current Illegal Migrant Crisis
(Gateway Pundit) – The United Nations admitted on Sunday that they are assisting the illegal immigrants and caravans from Central America making their way to the US southern border.
The UN admitted in today’s news article that they have mobilized extra staff and resources to assist the illegal immigrants in the caravans.
UN News reported:
A priority for UNHCR, which has mobilized extra staff and resources to help those making the journey in Mexico’s southern borderlands, is ensuring migrants are informed on their rights to asylum. In an agency video, a UNHCR protection associate said many migrants were simply unaware asylum was an option.
UNHCR spokesperson Adrian Edwards told reporters in Geneva earlier this week that transit and destination countries must consider their human rights obligations ahead of immigration status.
“UNHCR would like to remind countries along this route that this caravan is likely to include people in real danger,” Edwards said.
“In any situation like this it is essential that people have the chance to request asylum and have their international protection needs properly assessed, before any decision on return or deportation is made.”
Also in 2016 Breitbart.com obtained a leaked document from the Soros Open Society Foundation that reveals their close links to UN migration representative and former Goldman Sachs executive Peter Sutherland.
The George Soros Open Society also claims that through Sutherland they are able to influence international migration policy due to the current migrant crisis.
The leaked documents and today’s UN report shows the George Soros Open Society is working behind the scenes with the United Nations to assist illegal migrants like the caravans marching to the southern US border.
Breitbart.com reported:
George Soros’ Open Society Foundation admits influence and incredibly close links with UN migration representative and former Goldman Sachs executive Peter Sutherland in leaked document.
The paper, which told of how the migrant crisis presented an “opportunity” for the foundation to extend its global influence and attract more money, mentions Sutherland’s pro-migrant work. The foundation notes that through Sutherland they have been able to advocate at an “elite level” behind the scenes.
Open Society are one of the contributors to the Columbia Global Policy Initiative (CGPI) which hosts Mr. Sutherland and claim that through Sutherland they are able to influence international migration policy due to the current migrant crisis. On the United Nations website Sutherland is described as a “strong advocate for promoting practical action to increase the benefits of migration” and has routinely made comments against national borders and national sovereignty in Europe. Sutherland has even called for the European Union to “undermine the homogeneity” of member states.
Sutherland has even gone as far as defending all migrants regardless of whether or not they are legitimate refugees saying, “We’re not just talking, either, about refugees. We’re talking about economic migrants, many of whom could be the future, and some at the present… are survival fighters. They’re not to be dismissed as an irrelevance.”

On Sunday Fox News and Fox Business announced they had banned frequent guest Chris Farrell for making false accusations against Jewish billionaire and Democrat donor George Soros this past week on “Lou Dobbs Tonight.” On the Thursday broadcast, Farrell accused Soros of funding the migrant caravan that left Honduras earlier this month and is currently traveling through Mexico toward the U.S. border.

Will Emmanuel Macron Become Leader Of EU?

France is NEW BOSS OF EUROPE as ‘strongman’ Macron steps into Merkel’s power-vacuum

FRANCE’S President Emmanuel Macron is poised to become the “strongman” of Europe stepping into the European – and EU - power vacuum resulting from the resignation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

French Conservative Senator Jean Bizet claimed Macron had to step-up but warned the new unofficial role would be “very difficult” for Mr Macron.
Mrs Merkel’s decision to quit politics after her current term as Chancellor ends in 2021 sent shockwaves across Europe and the world yesterday.
Sen Bizet said: “Germany has been the strongman of Europe for many years but today it has become the weak man, if I may say so.
“Everything rests – and will rest more and more – on president Macron’s shoulders. It will be very difficult for him.”
Mr Bizet, the chairman of the senate’s committee for European affairs, told the TV channel Public Sénat the German leader’s decision to not seek a fifth term as chancellor was “a great disappointment but sadly an expected disappointment.”
He added: “It’s bad news for the coalition, bad news for Germany, bad news for France but also bad news for Europe”.
Mrs Merkel, 64, announced her decision to retire in 2021 and also step down as leader of the Christian Democrats (CDU) after her party on Sunday suffered its second regional election setback in as many weeks.
The CDU and its Social Democrat coalition partners suffered heavy losses in the weekend’s regional election in the large central state of Hesse, home to the financial capital Frankfurt.

But stepping down as CDU chairman further undermines Mrs Merkel’s authority, as she had previously said the party chair and chancellery should be held by the same person.
While Mrs Merkel has dominated European politics since 2005, helping guide the Brussels bloc through the eurozone crisis, her decision in 2015 to open Germany’s doors to more than one million migrants fleeing war in the Middle East caused deep divisions within the EU and weakened her support.
Mr Bizet said: “Big European issues cannot be solved alone. But in this case, Angela Merkel did not consult with her European partners before making a unilateral decision that completely upset the European Union’s social balance.”
He added that mass immigration “weakens the single market”.

Brazil's New President: 'Pro-Israel', Plans to close 'Palestinian' Embassy - 'You Do Not Negotiate With Terrorists'

New Brazil President to close “Palestinian” embassy: “You do not negotiate with terrorists”

“Brazilians elect first ardently pro-Israel president,” by
RIO DE JANEIRO (JTA) — Brazilians elected a president who is a far-right, ardently pro-Israel veteran pol who once declared “My heart is green, yellow, blue and white,” in a reference to the colors of the Israeli and Brazilian flags.
“Far-right”: i.e., hated by the political and media establishment.
Jair Bolsonaro, a 63-year-old seven-term congressman who built his campaign around pledges to crush corruption and crime, secured over 55 percent of the vote, an 11 percent lead over his far-left rival Fernando Haddad.
“We cannot continue flirting with socialism, communism, populism and leftist extremism … We are going to change the destiny of Brazil,” said Bolsonaro in his late Sunday night acceptance speech broadcast from his home in Rio, which showed a Jewish menorah in the background of the video.
Highly divisive among Jewish voters, the Conservative lawmaker — whose middle name, Messias, literally means “messiah” — won the ballot after a drama-filled election that looks set to radically reforge the future of the world’s fourth biggest democracy, leaving nearly 15 years of far-left governments behind….
For many Jewish voters, Bolsonaro has always been a dream president. He has declared he will move the Brazilian embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. His first international trip as president, he said, will be to Israel, with which he will seek to broaden the dialogue. And he promised to close the Palestinian embassy in Brasilia.
“Is Palestine a country? Palestine is not a country, so there should be no embassy here,” Bolsonaro said weeks ago. “You do not negotiate with terrorists.”…
“Bolsonaro stood out among the many candidates for including the State of Israel in the major speeches he made during the campaign,” Israel’s honorary consul in Rio, Osias Wurman, told JTA last week. “He is a lover of the people and the State of Israel.”…

Migrant Caravan Traveling By Bus To US. Border

Illegal Immigrant Caravan Organizers Load Up Illegal Immigrants on Buses for Comfy Rides

Caravan Organizers are seen loading illegal immigrants on buses to take them to their next stop on their way to the United States.
This is SHOCKING VIDEO!

There are currently FOUR DIFFERENT CARAVANS working their way to the southern US border through Central America and Mexico.

Mexico’s immigration authorities warned that a second migrant caravan that stormed into Mexico on Monday despite a massive police presence is armed with Molotov cocktails, other incendiary devices and firearms.

Breitbart News reported the alert by Mexico’s National Migration Institute followed an incident on Sunday in which migrants threw rocks at officials at the Guatemala-Mexico Border and tried to break through international barriers.
The Mexican immigration agency, citing reports that individuals in Guatemala were building Molotov cocktails, asked the Guatemalan government to intervene.
The Mexican officials said the violent actions were those of “criminals and not of a vulnerable migrant population.”
Breitbart noted the group in Guatemala is separate from the initial caravan that is now in Mexico about 1,000 miles from the United States border.
The northern caravan of an estimated 4,000 people rejected a request by Mexican officials to follow immigration law so they could receive temporary employment, state-funded healthcare and education. Breitbart reported, however, that 422 members requested assistance from Mexican authorities to return home.
El Salvador’s immigration agency, meanwhile, said a third caravan of about 500 Salvadorans crossed legally into Guatemala on Sunday.
Trump: ‘This is an invasion’
The Pentagon has announced it will send 5,200 active-duty troops to “harden” the U.S.-Mexico border. More than 2,000 National Guard troops already are at the border assisting U.S. Border Patrol agents.
On Monday, President Trump tweeted a message to the asylum seekers: “This is an invasion of our Country and our Military is waiting for you!”
Trump and Department of Homeland Security officials have warned of gang members in the caravan.
In an interview Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen affirmed Trump is considering sealing the U.S.-Mexico border through an executive order, even to asylum seekers.
“This caravan is not getting in,” she told “Fox News Sunday.” “There’s a legal way to enter this country. Those who choose to enter illegally will be stopped.”

The second group of migrants, at the Guatemalan border, has been more unruly than the first that crossed, the Daily Mail of London reported.
Guatemala’s Interior Ministry said police officers were injured when the migrant group broke through border barriers on Guatemala’s side of the bridge.
Mexican agents were attacked with rocks, glass bottles and fireworks, according to Mexican authorities, who said some members of the caravan carried guns and firebombs.
Mexican Interior Secretary Alfonso Navarrete Prida accused members of the second caravan of placing the elderly, pregnant women and children at the front, putting them at risk of being crushed.
