Germany: No proof sprouts caused E.coli outbreak
In a surprising U-turn, German officials said initial tests published Monday provided no evidence that sprouts from an organic farm in northern Germany were the cause of the country's deadly E. coli outbreak.
"The search for the outbreak's cause is very difficult as several weeks have passed since its suspected start," the ministry said in a statement, cautioning that further testing of the sprouts and their seeds was necessary to achieve full certainty.
The current crisis is the deadliest known E. coli outbreak, killing at least 22 people and sickening more than 2,300 across Europe.
Suspicion for the cause of the E. coli outbreak had initially fallen on contaminated cucumbers from Spain, but researchers then concluded that the cucumbers were contaminated with a different strain of E.coli
Further tests are ongoing. For now - the cause remains completely unknown.

The one they'll never admit is deliberate bioweapons, and the possibility that it could be part of not only a eugenics program but also another slam on food that isn't hyper-managed by the government. Next thing you know they'll be banning private gardens.
That possibility always has to be considered IMO
Praps they were Brussels Sprouts! Cultivars of the Beast and his missus? ;)
Paula-i agree and suggested that immediately as soon as we saw details about the e coli. notice no matter what they are blaming, its always the organic veggies!-ally
Paula, you have far more allies than you would ever guess. The more you read up and study the "strange" diseases of the last 10 years the more suspicious one gets.
Thanks for all the positive words, everyone. It's been one of those weeks. (meaning the past 7 or so days, not just that it's Monday) :-)
Friends, please pray with me that God will help these microbiologists who are working 24 hours a day find the source before it is too late. Also pray for the doctors and nurses working double shifts that God would strengthen them. Germany has called up their retired doctors as well. This is destroying Germany's economy as well because millions of dollars of crops are tilled into the soil every day because no one will buy them. The largest grower even had his crops certified safe but no one will buy. They need God's help.
EI, that was funny!
Paula and others, wasn't there something in some bill recently (maybe the massive obamacare bill, or the massive bill before that which now escapes me) that has the potential to hyper regulate the sale of produce? Like targeting our small time fruit and veggie growers?
Methinks we are but one similar disaster from shutting down such small-time operations. :(
Anon, I will pray for them!
The American drug company Alaxion is supplying Germany with a drug to help the patients since nothing else is working. The cost per patient is $54,000 a month. Alaxion is donating it all free of charge. When asked how many months they would be willing to do this the president said until this crisis was over. God please bless Alaxion Drug Company.
Alice, are you thinking of Codex Alimentarius (or something like that... hope I didn't just cuss in Latin)? Not that pretty much everything and the kitchen sink isn't in O-care...
Chemical spill in china, affecting major water supply.

Well, we've all probably read how water will be the next big "thing" that will be the world's need due to shortages. Interesting...
Alice-its called the food safety act which is ironic since it gives homeland security control of all of our food here in the US, and certainly does nothing to make it safer. conveniently we had a nationwide salmonella outbreak last summer when monsanto was shoving it through congress. research it, pretty amazing stuff and not good. However our heavenly Father has it under control! ally
Ah, yes ally, the food safety act. Possibly it was part of TARP? That was the other mega-bill I couldn't remember...But it passed, is the point. We must remember, they just want to protect us...[[[big eye roll]]]
And yes, Codex Alimentarius is also looming...(Paula, not sure if you cussed in Latin or sneezed. Bless you, either way!) Anything put forth by the UN and the WHO to regulate food cannot be good...
But you're right, ally. Thankfully we know Who is in control!!!
Maranatha!!!
