Evening Update: More Threats Against Israel

It seems that almost everyday in the news now, we see more and more threats against Israel. As stated so many times before, the world is shaping up exactly as biblical prophecy would dictate in this era.

Hezbollah conducted a massive military exercise in southern Lebanon this week, reportedly deploying 10,000 gunmen over three days in a war-game scenario and simulating the Shiite group’s role as an Iranian proxy in a potential war between Israel and Iran.

Reports of the operation surfaced in the Hebrew media on Thursday, based on an article in the Egyptian state paper al-Gomhuria, which reported that the exercises were personally supervised by Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and by “top officials” from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.

According to the reports, Hezbollah simulated raids into northern Israeli territory and clashes in villages along the southern Lebanese border with Israel, which have been reinforced against a potential conflict.

The report also stated that some 2,000 Hezbollah fighters were currently being trained by Revolutionary Guard operatives in Iran.

Analysts believe that Hezbollah will be called upon by Tehran to open a front against Israel should Jerusalem order a strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The organization, considered a terror group by Israel and the US, has a de facto hold over much of southern Lebanon. While the Shiite group can shoot rockets into the north of Israel and has made covert forays dozens of meters into Israeli territory, it has not launched large-scale raids into the country.

Syria is capable of destroying Israel’s nuclear facilities with 20 missiles, Syria’s ambassador to Jordan, Bahjat Suleiman, told a visiting delegation on Wednesday, pro-Assad news sources reported.

Suleiman, a loyalist of Syrian President Bashar Assad, also told a visiting delegation of Baath Party members and Arab nationalists that Riyad Hijab, the Syrian prime minister who defected to Jordan earlier this month, had received $20 million for his “betrayal.”

He said that Syria was capable of destroying the Israeli installations “if attacked,” despite the grave losses it would incur as a result.

Syria has acquired surface-to-surface missiles from Russia and North Korea which cover most of the territory of Israel. In September 2007, the Israeli Air Force reportedly destroyed a nuclear reactor Syria was developing with the assistance of North Korea, although Israel never officially claimed responsibility for the strike.

Iran has installed many more uranium enrichment machines in an underground bunker, diplomatic sources said on Thursday, potentially paving the way for a significant expansion of work the West fears is ultimately aimed at making nuclear bombs.

Several sources said Iran had put in place additional enrichment centrifuges in its Fordow facility, buried deep inside a mountain to protect it against any enemy strikes.

One source suggested it involved hundreds of machines.

If confirmed in a report expected next week from the UN atomic watchdog, the development is likely to be seen as a sign of Iran’s continued defiance of international demands to curb its nuclear program

In a possible sign of further Iranian defiance in the face of such pressure, several sources said Iran had put in place additional enrichment centrifuges in the Fordow facility, buried deep inside a mountain to protect it against enemy strikes.

OK, I give up....completely perplexed. I know He's God, and He can do anything and all things....but how can He put any more pressure in this here ME balloon. It should have burst weeks, and weeks, and at least 6 crisis.

Talk about global warming....this is gonna be incarcerating....this much hot air under this much pressure bursting forth at the same time when it goes.

When it does go, I hope Obozo and his clowns gets the full force and they're just blown out of that tainted formally white house on the hill.47a kplyvi

I praise God that we have a place to share our deepest concerns and convictions,,,thank-you Scott.

How does one even begin to share the bittersweet groaning we are feeling to those that seem to be under some "strong delusion. I gave up trying a long time ago and console my heart that the Lord is in complete control, even those that mock and scoff at the global situation. They feel it I'm sure as I sit in traffic ,,,,the despondency and despair is almost impossible to conceal .....as much as they try :(

Caver I love how you used that analogy of the ballon, wow I feel I'm about to explode as the emotions are almost unbearable and heavy.Must be a girl thing :(

If this is how we are feeling at the onslaught of the battle in the heavenliness I can't even begin to imagine the darkness as it descends.

Reading all that Iran is doing in its rabid quest for global domination, you almost have to smile when you imagine God looking down at them- how completely unaware they are of what Highest Power is coming against them... How He could & will at any moment He chooses, open the earth & swallow all their weapons of mass destruction & they will be no more... Even with the latest warning quakes in Iran, what a shock those bloodthirsty predators surrounding Israel are in for?

What a blessubg this site is...I have learned so much! But..

what do the stock comments have to do with anything? Excuse me if I'm just not understanding, but it just seems....?

Thanks Colleen

Christine - I agree with that

Rosalie - the stocks have nothing to do with prophecy - at least not in terms of the signs that we track - although I agree that following the gathering up there will be a massive crash in the market.

Hi Rosalie,

Our dear brother that monitors the financial and social indicators is "special". He has views and sees relationships that he's comfortable with, and it allows him to fellowship. Sometimes he comes out with incredibly insightful thoughts based on social mood indicators from the Elliot Wave model of predicting the market.

Just smile, be warm, welcome him to the fellowship and understand what a blessing we ALL are and can be to each other here. :)

Stephen’s waves are the blogs little bit of leaven that leavens the whole lump…he is so special that his waves are waved instead of leading him to God’s Truth – they are being ‘loving’ you see!

Oh Caver-I'm watching the balloon STRETCH in incredible ways. Do yoy think he might make a balloon animal before it pops? Giggle.
But when it blows, its gonna blow big! Ker-pow! I am constantly astounded by how long its gone already, but hey, God always surprises me!
Mrs. C, Scott and Caver-maybe I missed ya'lls responses but what do you think about the Ethiopean Prime Ministers death? I feel like that is one of thelast pieces in this puzzle, now the MB can easily and quickly take over "put" and that coalition will be complete. Do you guys see it or am I out in left field again til it happens?
Love ya'll. Wondering if there will be sweet tea at the wedding supper?

Anon,
Just obsessed with attacking and berating Brother Stephen, aren’t you. Looks like you made your choice to be the "evil servant" while we wait for the return of our Glorious Bride Groom...take heed to His Word before its too late …its so sad...there's still hope, still time to repent and seek Him...

Matthew 24:46-51
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mrs C, it is extremely important to realise that you have removed these verses from their rightful context (background or framework) setting up yourself as the judge, yet again, of another’s position in Christ – your favourite to date being the violation of 2Tim3:5.

Luke6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: (Matt7:1-5)

Romans14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

1Cor4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

You seem confused about the doctrine on judgments. Only God can judge the actions of another – however we must judge/discern from Scripture what words/teaching that is confessed by others lest they deceive the brethren as wolves in sheep’s clothing, Matt7:15-29; or to lose their reward at the J S of Christ.

1Cor3:10-
Vs13. …each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is
14. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Christ will test all our works by fire. They must be done in accord to the written Word by the leading of The Holy Spirit. These are called ‘gold, silver and precious stones that will withstand the fire. For these we receive a reward. Any other work is a work of the flesh, a ‘dead’ work like hay, wood and stubble that will perish in the fire.

There are rewards waiting for us all, but what we do in our lifetime will decide if we have earned them or not (Salvation/Justification is a free gift and we are all heirs of God). ONLY obedient over-comers, those who suffer for Christ by denying self, will be heirs of Christ and reign with Him during the millennium on earth, and on into eternity. Consider 2Tim2:19-21

At the Bema (the judgment seat for the Saved in Christ) there will be much joy as we receive our various rewards BUT there will also be much grief and sorrow for those we have lost and are burned forever for our failure to be obedient to Christ’s Doctrine.

Jesus gave only two Commands of Love, but many calls to obedience. Just as there were Ten Commandments, yet there were 300 plus ordinances beside. It is Divine Love that instructs us ‘do not judge one another’ it is the same Divine Love that instructs us to judge the fruits/words/teachings of what we say (or write). Divine Love commands us to honor all government, all in authority over us like employers, teachers, parents – many more doctrines besides – all these actions will be judged and even our idle words will speak against us when we stand before Christ to give account of ourselves (in private) This is why it is so important to demonstrate our love for God by obeying His commands – this is where we gain or lose
To correct one in opposition to what is written is for the sake of the purity of Christ’s Doctrine but by judging another’s position in Christ exceeds what is written.

1Cor4:6 … that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

James3:1My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
