"Abbas: No 'historic compromise' on Jerusalem, borders"
Jerusalem? Did I read that right? Lets see:
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas rejected Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's talk about an "historic compromise" and said there would be no compromises on core issues such as Jerusalem and borders.
No compromise on Jerusalem? Now who could have guessed that one?
But there were some surprises indeed, and Abbas actually said some things that ARE unexpected in this day and age. He actually spoke the truth in a shocking development. I'm unsure what the strategy is, at this point, but the fact that he unveiled his true intent is somewhat surprising. Here it is:
Abbas also reiterated his rejection of Netanyahu's demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state. "We're not talking about a Jewish state and we won't talk about one," Abbas said in an interview with the semi-official Al-Quds newspaper. "For us, there is the state of Israel and we won't recognize Israel as a Jewish state."
Did I read that right? A slip of the tongue? No, there is more:
Abbas said that in recent meetings with leaders of the Jewish community in the US, he made it clear that the Palestinians would not recognize Israel as a Jewish state. "I told them that this is their business and that they are free to call themselves whatever they want," Abbas said. "But [I told them] you can't expect us to accept this."
Abbas said that by raising the issue of Israel's right to be a Jewish state, Netanyahu was seeking to "strip" Israeli-Arabs of their rights...
Huh? By recognizing Israel's right to exist, they would be stripping Israeli-Arabs of their rights? That's an interesting view.
The two key factors are predictable, it is just unusual to see the truth come from Abbas.
Jerusalem and Israel's right to exist as a nation.
Thats it in a nutshell. Just as predicted and right on schedule.

Once again, it's all about Jerusalem. Just as the Bible informed us.
so how will the spin be put on this to blame isreal? or does there even need to be a spin to blame isreal? isreal exists therefore they`re to blame.
I don't think there even needs to be a reason to blame Israel. I mean, for goodness sakes - look at the flotilla situation...The video showed exactly what happened, but the deceived either didn't bother to look or they are so embedded with their hatred of Israel, the video was irrelevant. Go figure. But the Flotilla incident told me all I need to know about how the Israeli haters think - and logic and facts are not in the equation.
thats absolutely true. no reason needed. so what did you think of my 3rd grade analogy of how the world treats isreal? shows how base evil is.
