Headlines From Around The World

And there are a lot of pertinent stories today, so only the introductions are posted:

Libya:

With explosive new revelations emerging almost weekly, Obama administration scandals surrounding the deadly September 11 attack on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya and the killing of Ambassador Christopher Stevens continue to mount. Most recently, official e-mails showed the White House was informed that it was a potential terrorist strike hours after the assault began, exposing alarming contradictions in the false and evolving narrative peddled by President Obama and multiple top officials for days.
Last week, two Republican leaders in Congress sent a scathing letter to the president demanding real answers about the tragedy. Among other points, the congressmen suggested that the lax security at the American post might have been a political ploy — essentially, a public-relations gimmick to conceal the fiasco in Libya left in the wake of Obama’s lawless and devastating war, whichempowered Islamic extremists while leaving the nation in ruins

Numerous public servants of the United States are, in effect, taking up where Russia has left off, in an attempt to keep America and NATO from initiating an unjust and immoral war in Syria — a war that could bring about World War III. They are not only leaking documents, they are informing numerous journalists, both professional and amateur, of the plans and actions of the CIA in Benghazi regarding the Libya’s Qaddafi regime stockpile of chemical weapons and MANPAD rockets.

These are the reports of which we may now be highly confident:
  • Ambassador Christopher Stevens and our other killed and wounded individuals were among numerous covert operations personnel engaged in the retrieval of these chemical and rocket weapons, perhaps along with other military grade weapons systems.
  • They have been in process of delivering them to Turkey by sea.
  • Russia discovered this, as one might expect.
  • Russia and Iran were behind the Benghazi raid, using trained Ansar al-Sharia commandos, a group identifying itself as al Qaeda in Libya

These are the reports of which we may now be very concerned:
  • Some of this chemical weaponry was or is to be used by the Turks, perhaps with the assistance of American special ops personnel, to fire upon some of the al Qaeda warriors in Syria who have been joining with Syrian rebels fighting Assad.
  • This was to be a false flag attack blamed on the Assad regime, to concoct the inception of military engagement in Syria by NATO forces.
  • Barack Obama has been directly involved in these plans, on a hands-on basis.
  • The Innocence of Muslims film, nearly unknown by 9-11-12, was planned by contingency, to be declared the reason for any attacks upon the CIA’s Benghazi operations that could be described as riotous.

Now, ‘whistle-blowers’ from inside the Clinton State Department have made available copies of critical, ‘real time’ email traffic that chronicled the attack on the virtually defenseless consulate, which originated from the State Department Operations Center and then routed to top national security officials at State, the Pentagon, the FBI, the White House Situation Room and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, according toReutersCBSCNN and ABC News articles yesterday.
However, due to the greater depth and detail of reporting, Chad Pergram’s FOXNews article today provides the majority of the information hereunder.
Beginning with the fact that [apparently] only Fox News was told, [or reported], that an estimated 300 to 400 national security figures, who work directly under the nation’s top national security, military and diplomatic officials, received these emails.
It is becoming painfully apparent that Benghazi-gate is becoming a caldron of hot water for President Barack Obama, the four murders and political corruption from which has the potential to eclipse Watergate.

The White House knew—or should have known—an avowed Libyan Jihadist group named Ansar Al-Sharia claimed responsibility for the attack in Benghazi as it was occurring. Emails released yesterday from the Embassy in Tripoli make that point obvious, and Obama’s refusal to publicly state when he saw these frantic alert messages serves only to solidify suspicions of a cover-up.
It also proved that the White House response to the Benghazi assault involved an obvious incongruity.

They were willing to cite in the earliest hours that an obscure youtube video sparked a “spontaneous” protest based on preliminary evidence from the internet. By contrast, the Obama administration didn’t think that similar open-source information merited public mention when a prime suspect—Ansar al-Sharia–announced it was involved in overrunning and burning out a U.S. Consulate.

So what does Benghazi tell us about the real state of Libya?
The militias control everything. The central government doesn’t have an effective police force or military, and there are Salafists and Jihadists angling for power in the Eastern province of Barqa who entirely reject the democratic process. Many of them also despise America and the West, despite our saving them from annihilation.
Add to that the presence of Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb in the region, sprinkle in a vast ocean of weapons from Qaddafi’s former depots washing across the black markets in North Africa, and toss in some foreign fighters from other Arab states, and you have a growing vortex of Jihadist activity.

Iran:

Iran appears to have nearly finished installing centrifuges at its underground nuclear plant, Western diplomats say, potentially boosting its capacity to make weapons-grade uranium if it chose to do so.
Iran only disclosed the existence of the Fordow plant, built inside a mountain to shield it from air strikes, in 2009 after learning that Western spy services had detected it.
The United States and its allies are particularly worried about Fordow because Iran is refining uranium there to a fissile concentration of 20 percent, which Iran says it needs for a medical reactor.

Any move by Iran to increase output at Fordow would further alarm the United States and Israel, which have reserved the option to use military force to prevent Iran getting the bomb, and complicate on-off diplomatic efforts to resolve the dispute.

Britain has rebuffed US pleas to use military bases in the UK to support the build-up of forces in the Gulf, citing secret legal advice which states that any pre-emptive strike on Iran could be in breach of international law.The Guardian has been told that US diplomats have also lobbied for the use of British bases in Cyprus, and for permission to fly from US bases on Ascension Island in the Atlantic and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, both of which are British territories.

Fighting has continued in Syria despite calls for a ceasefire during the Eid ul-Adha holiday. At least 60 people were killed in fighting Thursday, rebel leaders report.
Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei blamed the United States and Israelfor the ongoing violence. Khamenei accused the U.S. and Israel of inciting violence between religious groups in Syria in order to weaken the Islamic world.
Western governments “are still pouring fuel on the fire,” Khamenei added.

The Yarmouk Complex of military plants near Khartoum, whicht was bombed five minutes after midnight Wednesday, Oct.  24, by four fighter-bombers, recently went into manufacturing Iranian ballistic surface-to-surface Shehab missiles under license from Tehran,DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources disclose. Western intelligence sources have not revealed what types of Shehab were being turned out in Sudan but they believe the Yarmouk’s output was intended to serve as Tehran’s strategic reserve stock in case Iran’s ballistic arsenal was hit by Israeli bombers.

This article gets even more interesting:

If Indeed Israel was responsible for the bombing raid, it is possible to postulate the following objectives:

1.  Its air force flew 1,800-1,900 kilometers to reach the Sudanese arms factory, a distance longer than the 1,600 kilometers to the Iranian underground enrichment site of Fordo. This operation may have been intended to show Tehran that distance presents no obstacles to an Israeli strike on its nuclear program.

2.  The IAF has an efficient in-flight refueling capability.

3.  The raid would have degraded Iran’s ability to retaliate for a potential Israel or US attack.

If it was conducted by Israel, it would add a third item to the list of backdoor assaults in which Iran and Israel appear to be engaged in the past three months. On August 17, the power lines to Fordo were sabotaged, interrupting the work of enrichment taking place there and causing some of the advanced centrifuges to catch fire.On Oct. 6, an Iranian stealth drone was launched from Lebanon into Israeli air space and photographed its most sensitive military sites as well as the Dimona nuclear reactor before Israel brought it down.

Syria:

Rebel fighters and fleeing residents have told The Independent that Hezbollah began a major assault on the Syrian side of the border in mid-October, after the FSA tried but failed to take control of border villages and crossing points. At night Katyusha rockets fired from Hezbollah positions in the Hermel area rain down on rebel positions over the border, they claim.

"Everyone knows they have fighters there," said the bearded 23-year-old Syrian, from the temporary sanctuary of an old agricultural outbuilding perched over the Lebanese town of Aarsal, a few kilometres from the border. However, he said the situation had changed in recent weeks as even more militants began to flow in.

Russia's chief military officer says Syrian rebels have acquired portable air defense missiles, including U.S.-made Stinger missiles.
Gen. Nikolai Makarov, the chief of the military's General Staff, didn't say how many such missiles the rebels had and who supplied them. Makarov said Wednesday in remarks carried by Russian news agencies that some of the weapons could have been delivered by commercial airlines, but he didn't elaborate.

The regime of embattled Syrian dictator Bashar Assad is actively working to enlarge its arsenal of chemical weapons, U.S. officials tell Danger Room. Assad’s operatives have tried repeatedly in recent months to buy up the precursor chemicals for deadly nerve agents like sarin, even as his country plunges further and further into a civil war. The U.S. and its allies have been able to block many of these sales. But that still leaves Assad’s scientists with hundreds of metric tons of dangerous chemicals that could be turned into some of the world’s most gruesome weapons.
“Damascus has continued its pursuit of chemical weapons despite the damage to its international reputation and the rising costs of evading international export control on chemical weapons materials,” the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, a leading think tank on weapons of mass destruction issues, noted in an August profile of Syria’s illicit arms activities

Israel:

The bombshell announcement thatLikud and Yisrael Beyteinu are to unite was one year in the making, Yisrael Beyteinu head Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman revealed Friday.
“Talks about uniting started one year ago,” he said at an afternoon news conference. “A final decision was made nearly two months ago.”
The unity “has created a new reality,” he added.
“We’ve worked shoulder to shoulder for four years, these two parties have been the safe harbor for stable leadership in recent years. There’s a natural dynamic,” headded.

Reports Thursday night indicated that their deal allows Liberman to choose any post he wants in Netanyahu’s coalition. But Liberman’s eye has long been fixed on the top job, and he has always known that he could not become prime minister as head of a relatively minor faction like Yisrael Beytenu. The route to the prime ministership for Liberman required a return to the Likud, where he served as director-general of the party under opposition leader Netanyahu in the early 1990s.

Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), an al- Qaida-affiliate group active in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, issued a statement late Wednesday expressing condolences for the deaths of two Salafist-Jihadist leaders killed in Gaza.

AQAP’s statement, published on the As-Ansar website and a number of other jihadist forums, and translated by The Jerusalem Post, said, “We ask God to heal our wounded mujahadin brethren in Palestine for their loss, and to reward them with great patience and resolve on the path of jihad and sacrifice for Palestine’s liberation.”
In its statement, the group threatened large-scale revenge on Israel, saying “the blood of Muslim heroes is not cheap, nor is it shed in vain. The Jews will pay.”

A few days ago we wrote about the serious escalation in anti-Semitic incidents worldwide in recent years, a fact documented by many, including the US State Department.
To demonstrate just how frequently Jews around the world are being forced to look over their shoulders, we present yet another three serious attacks on Jews over just the past few days.

Whereas during World War II European Jews had primarily to contend with such ultra-nationalists, as the Paris incident reveals, today they are attacked on two sides - on the one by white supremacists and on the other by Europe's burgeoning Muslim population.
But, as we noted in the previous article, the problem is hardly confined to Europe.

The U.S.:

An unusual nasty mix of a hurricane and a winter storm that forecasters are now calling “Frankenstorm” is likely to blast most of the U.S. East Coast next week, focusing the worst of its weather mayhem around New York City and New Jersey.
Government forecasters on Thursday upped the odds of a major weather mess, now saying there’s a 90% chance that the East will get steady gale-force winds, heavy rain, flooding and maybe snow starting Sunday and stretching past Halloween on Wednesday.

Though we feel that it's likely Sandy will hit some portion of the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic coast, there remains uncertainty with the exact timing, location and magnitude of the worst impacts. The forecast involves a rare, complex atmospheric setup that will allow the system to pivot back to the northwest into the region rather than simply moving out to sea.

Where exactly this pivot back to the west or northwest occurs will dictate the timing and where the worst of Sandy ultimately hits. That said, Sandy will have a large wind field and therefore effects from the system will stretch across a wide area well away from Sandy's center. To reinforce, it is very important to not focus on the center of our projected path map since the impacts will extend well away from where Sandy's center eventually moves inland.
Significant impacts from Sandy could potentially begin as early as Sunday and continue into Monday and Tuesday.

Texas authorities have threatened to arrest international election observers, prompting a furious response from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
“The threat of criminal sanctions against [international] observers is unacceptable,” Janez Lenarcic, the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), said in a statement. “The United States, like all countries in the OSCE, has an obligation to invite ODIHR observers to observe its elections.”
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott further fueled the controversy on Tuesday when he sent a letter to the OSCE warning the organization that its representatives “are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place” and that it “may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place's entrance.”

The Washington Post reports that the same agency which spies on all Americans also decides who is assassinated by drone or otherwise:
Over the past two years, the Obama administration has been secretly developing a new blueprint for pursuing terrorists, a next-generation targeting list called the “disposition matrix.”

The matrix contains the names of terrorism suspects arrayed against an accounting of the resources being marshaled to track them down, including sealed indictments and clandestine operations. U.S. officials said the database is designed to go beyond existing kill lists, mapping plans for the “disposition” of suspects beyond the reach of American drones.

Among senior Obama administration officials, there is a broad consensus that such operations are likely to be extended at least another decade. Given the way al-Qaeda continues to metastasize, some officials saidno clear end is in sight.

In particular, the NCTC operates a gigantic data-mining operation, in which all sorts of information about innocent Americans is systematically monitored, stored, and analyzed. This includes “records from law enforcement investigations, health information, employment history, travel and student records” – “literally anything the government collects would be fair game”. In other words, the NCTC – now vested with the power to determine the proper “disposition” of terrorist suspects – is the same agency that is at the center of the ubiquitous, unaccountable surveillance state aimed at American citizens.

If you still have a good job, you might want to hold on to it very tightly because there are a whole bunch of signs that unemployment in the United States is about to start getting worse again.  Over the past several weeks, a substantial number of large corporations have announced disappointing earnings for the third quarter.  Many of those large corporations are also loaded up with huge amounts of debt.  So what is the solution?  Well, the favorite solution on Wall Street these days seems to be to lay off workers.  In fact, it is almost turning into a feeding frenzy.  Since September 1st, we have seen more job cuts announced than during any other two month period since the start of 2010.  These announcements represent future layoffs and job losses which are not even showing up in the unemployment numbers yet.  So needless to say, things don't look very promising for the end of 2012 or for the beginning of 2013.  If this race to eliminate jobs becomes a stampede, will we see the bottom fall out of the employment market?

In The World:

A pre-programmed cruise missile not too different from a drone has been proven to be capable of blasting out an EMP-type microwave that was able to destroy personal computers and electrical systems inside a building over which it was flying.
The U.S. Air Force and its contractor Boeing have created the High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project, or CHAMP, which was just tested over a Utah desert.

Icelandic authorities warned people in the north of the island on Thursday to prepare for a possible big earthquake after the biggest tremors in the area for 20 years.
The north Atlantic island, where almost 320,000 people live, is a hotspot of volcanic and seismic activity as it straddles a fault in the earth's surface.
The Civil Protection Department said in a statement that recent small quakes in an area under the sea about 20 km (12 miles) off the north of Iceland had prompted it to issue a warning to local people.
It said such shocks, one of which was a magnitude 5.6, often led to stronger quakes. Warnings were issued when there were grounds to expect a natural or manmade event that could threaten health and human safety, it added

Wow. It looks like the wheels are coming off the world. Good is called evil and evil good. I find myself agreeing with Russia more than our own government.

We are looking for more fights in the ME to spread "democracy". If you read anything from the founding fathers, democracy was seen as evil and worst form of governemnt since the masses would feed upon the weak.

We were given a constitutional republic and have squandered it away. The government can xray you and grope you at an airport. Kill you with a drone without trial or even charges. Send our troops into the ME to build a caliphate. Indefinitley detain you for being a threat to the state.

The intensity of the news is building. Newsweek is gone, because a weeeek is too long. Maybe they should have rebranded as Newsmillisecond to stay on top of what is happening.

Pray for the lost that they might accept Jesus while there is still time left...

Ally, What was the web link for "praying for the unsaved"? I was talking to a friend about this and want to share it with her.

Praying for all of us to stand in the Lord for the battle is His and to let His bright Light shine through us.

Maranatha!
