British And U.S. Naval Power Massing In The Gulf As Israel Prepares Iran Strike

The Telegraph is reporting this:

Armada Of British Naval Power Massing In The Gulf

Battleships, aircraft carriers, minesweepers and submarines from 25 nations are converging on the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in an unprecedented show of force as Israel and Iran move towards the brink of war.

Western leaders are convinced that Iran will retaliate to any attack by attempting to mine or blockade the shipping lane through which passes around 18 million barrels of oil every day, approximately 35 per cent of the world’s petroleum traded by sea.

In preparation for any pre-emptive or retaliatory action by Iran, warships from more than 25 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, will today begin an annual 12-day exercise.

The multi-national naval force in the Gulf includes three US Nimitz class carrier groups, each of which has more aircraft than the entire complement of the Iranian air force.

The carriers are supported by at least 12 battleships, including ballistic missile cruisers, frigates, destroyers and assault ships carrying thousand of US Marines and special forces.

The British component consists of four British minesweepers and the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Cardigan Bay, a logistics vessel. HMS Diamond, a brand-new £1billion Type 45 destroyer, one of the most powerful ships in the British fleet, will also be operating in the region.

Many within the Obama administration believe that Israel will launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities before the US presidential elections, an act which would signal the failure of one of Washington’s key foreign policy objectives.

“The Iranians need to understand that the United States and the international community are going to hold them directly responsible for any disruption of shipping in that region — by Iran or, for that matter, by its surrogates.”

What began as a small protest against an amateurish film mocking and maligning the prophet Muhammad has mushroomed into a full-scale international crisis, with anti-Western violence spreading to more countries over the weekend and al-Qaida trying to harness the new wave of Muslim resentment.

Marine reinforcements have been dispatched to the US missions in Libya and in Yemen since the attack Tuesday night on the US Consulate in Benghazi, which resulted in the death of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other American personnel.

The United States has ordered non-essential embassy employees to flee Tunisia and Sudan, while Al Qaeda urges worldwide terrorist attacks on the American and Western targets as the fundamentalist Islamic backlash spreads over the “Innocence of Muslims” film posted on the Internet.

Sudan has refused an American request that it send Marines special forces to help protect the embassy after protesters attacked it Friday.

At least six Americans, including the ambassador to Libya, have been killed since the uprisings and Al Qaeda-inspired terrorist attacks began last week.

Al Qaeda’s call for more violence, as reported by the SITE intelligence Group, is a direct challenge to President Barack Obama’s claim that the elimination of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden was the “beginning of the end” of Al Qaeda.

Terrorists have listed embassies, schools and fast food chains among their targets, AFP reported.

Sudan won't allow the United States to send a platoon of Marines to protect its embassy from rioting Muslims.

According to a report released by theSUNA state news agency, the country's government formally rejected the request Saturday. The news agency quoted Sudan's Foreign Minister, Ali Ahmed Karti, as saying, "Sudan is able to protect the diplomatic missions in Khartoum and the state is committed to protecting its guests in the diplomatic corps.”

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland confirmed Saturday in a terse statement that the Sudanese government had “recommitted itself both publicly and privately to continue to protect our Mission, as it is obligated to do under the Vienna Convention. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely to ensure we have what we need to protect our people and facility.

The U.S. decided Friday to send in a group of 50 Marines after rioting Muslim breachedsecurity at the embassy in Khartoum and entered the compound, which is located outside the city. Speaking on condition of anonymity, a Washington official said the Marines were already on their way to Khartoum when word was received the request was rejected. They were called back, pending further discussions.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that Iran’s leaders are guided by "unbelievable fanaticism."

Netanyahu's comments, quoted byAFP, were made as part of aninterview to be aired on NBCtelevision's "Meet the Press" on Sunday. Parts of the interview were made available on Saturday.

“I think Iran is very different. They put their zealotry above their survival. They have suicide bombers all over the place. I wouldn't rely on their rationality," Netanyahu said, suggesting Iran cannot be contained in the same way as the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

He added, “Since the advent of nuclear weapons, you have countries that had access to nuclear weapons who always made a careful calculation of cost and benefit. But Iran is guided by a leadership with an unbelievable fanaticism.”

The Telegraph also mentioned Ovomit would be meeting with Bibi "today"....? I thought that meeting had been pre-empted by his far more important guest appearance on David Letterman? So what is the real story here??

Hello Shannon

1Tim.2:1-6;Romans13:1.

These Scripture frequently comes to mind when reading comments here, but I have never had the nerve to declare it. So well done you!

The faithless, unbiblical scorn folk are practising, is a precedent set by another regardless of how clearly God tells us that every person in authority, believing and pagan, is doing HIS WILL and ALL are raised up by Him – then when HE decides; HE puts them down again. Psalm 75:7 Our job is to trust in His Word in all circumstances, and respect HIS authority in those who rule over us. They are doing HIS bidding, and that includes Mothers and Fathers as well as Presidents. Good, bad or indifferent, they are all working at HIS behest because God is Absolute Sovereign of His Universal Kingdom.

Must add that includes the ‘host of heaven’, good angels as well as Satan and his fallen angels. They can do NOTHING unless God gives them leave. Paul was given a ‘messenger of Satan’ to keep him humble, not once did Paul command it to leave him. Instead, he bowed to God's will in full trust. God told Paul plainly that His Grace was sufficient (2Cor.12:7-10)

Shannon and Sue,

Likewise, I also am not comfortable with the name calling and cavalier attitude of some of the comments directed towards governing officials. Thank you for posting the Scriptures.

"The words of a man's (or woman's) mouth are as deep waters..." Proverbs 18:4.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom..." Proverbs 1:7.

"The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way and THE FROWARD MOUTH, do I hate" Proverbs 8:13

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" Proverbs 18:21.

Sue,
Praise God for your commentary to the verses posted. We (all those born from above) need these reminders. This is a great example of His Grace poured out for us today!
Many times as I read various comments posted on blogs/articles, I am saddened instead of blessed. The testimony of Christ Jesus is at stake.
Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
When believers link with those of this world, many times we can't discern between the two.
Yes, sister, ALL that is happening in the world today, is according to His will and timing. He is ultimately being glorified through it all because He is potentially drawing through conviction of sin, those yet needing salvation through His Son Jesus Christ, or..... He is growing/maturing those of us who are His children, through various testings. The testings are designed by Him to humble us, much the same as He did Paul.
Thank you Sue :)

Blessings In Him,
Shannon

Thanks for the condemnation folks...but I call it like I see it. Obama has lost any chance of being respected, both domestic & foreign.

ChristineInCleveland said...

P.S. ...And I do pray for our president- praying he doesn't debilitate our country, before Christ returns!

Shannon said...

Hello Christine,

I have re-read my post to be certain it does not have any ring of condemnation towards anyone in it. The Lord is clear from the verses I've posted.
I don't have any authority to condemn anyone, only God the Father does that.
Interestingly, since you bring up the term, I am reminded of Romans 8:1. Until we are born of His Spirit, we are all condemned, but Praise God! after He saves us from our sins, all condemnation is gone!

As for President Obama losing any "chance of being respected, both domestic and foreign"....
The world respects its own...
God the Father is no respecter of persons. Romans 2:11, Acts 10:34. What is crucial is whether/not one has His Spirit within.

Shannon

ChristineInCleveland said...

I got the impression I am being condemned as un-Christian like because I used a disrespectful term for the president? Sorry if that offended anyone... But as I see the horrible way Obama is handling his policies both domestic & foreign, it makes my gut clench in impotent rage. I can't respect someone like this, though I do know God is in control, & Obama is part of God's plan for judging this evil generation that elected him. Guess it shouldn't get to me... I'm not real patient when it comes to politics & the mayhem it creates. :)

Anonymous said...

Christine,

Please understand that none of the posts are 'condemning' anyone. The Scriptures that were quoted are the Words of God. His Word is to be used "...for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 2 Timothy 3:16.

We all enter this World CONDEMNED.

Jesus said, "Except a man be Born from above,he cannot see/enter the kingdom of God".

Once we become a child of God through the new birth, then, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:1.

When we denigrate someone by calling them names, we are "walking after the flesh".

When the world stops by Scott's blog and reads all of the name calling, is that going to attract those who are unsaved? When someone who is led of the Spirit posts Scriptures on here, they are quickly derided. This should not be.

Paul instructs us in his letter to the Colossians, "Let your speech be ALWAYS with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer EVERY man." Ch. 4, verse 6.

Again,in Titus 2, "In ALL things showing thyself a pattern of good works...sound speech, that cannot be condemned; THAT HE THAT OPPOSES US MAY BE ASHAMED, HAVING NO EVIL THING TO SAY OF YOU." Verse 7,8.

I am Scott's wife. I have never posted on here, but have been a silent observer. I totally get both sides here, as a christian we have an obligation to attract or repel people from the gospel. One side is saying, "hey are we attracting or repelling people to the Gospel?" They have a valid point.....however, as a human, you get tired of all the bs in the world and just sometimes have to "call it like you see it". So many disgusting things going on in this world, people used like pawns in a game, you understand bad people are just Satan's tools, but you still need to vent sometimes.
I've read your posts for years, to some of you, this is your christian community, your brothers and sisters in Christ, you feel safe to vent and so you do let out your frustration.
So we Christians hang in the balance, still flawed, trying to be "heavenly", but are so annoyed by the "non-heavenly" behavior we see we cry ENOUGH!! and lose it! Jesus lost it once, in the temple, with the money changers. So we are in good company.

Peace, Grace and Love to all. Jesus promised He will return to take us to be with Him. One way or another we will see Him face-to-face. It is all Good News! In Him, Deb

Do I think he and TPTB are orchestrating events to destroy this country? Yes.

Do I want to vomit when I think of where this country/world is today? Yes.

Does wanting to live my life as Paul encouraged in the above quoted Scriptures make me POLITICALLY CORRECT??

Does encouraging others to take a look at the Scriptures to determine if what we are saying is Biblical make me a ROBOT??

My comments were general observations, not directed towards you specifically. You make valid points that are worthy of discussion.

Having said that - Jesus did refer to the Pharisees as a 'nest of vipers'. Could you apply your POV to Him?

Didn't Jesus run the risk of offending people who could have been His followers by using such language to 'attack' the pharisees? If so - then why would He have used such language?

Couldn't Jesus have been accused of "overreacting" to the money changers in the Temple? People could have seen His actions that day and as a result, have been turned off to the central message.

There is a time and a place to call things as they are.

Having said all of that - I am just offering another POV on the topic.

And I still firmly stand behind the "training" that we have all received from the MSM regarding what we can and cannot say.

Robert,

Our constitution, which is our government, tells us to throw off any government that becomes a tyrant. Besides, it is very questionable if Obama is legally our president.

But still, Obama is NOT our government. Our government starts with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, not an individual. We are a Republic.

And let us not forget that in WWII, 6 million Jews and many others, including,Brothers and Sisters died because our leaders and those around the world said nothing. Good "Christians" followed their "leaders" and said nothing in protest.

As one who has been convicted by The Holy Spirit through His Word on this matter, and many others, I can acknowledge my fault to The Father via 1John1:9 who has forgiven and cleansed me; washed by the water of the Word. It takes a while for FEELINGS of guilt to subside and to rest in Him and accept His cleansing BY KNOWING what God tells us in the Bible.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, WHO DO NOT WALK ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, but ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT.
2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

When we disobey and walk in the flesh, we are guilty of post Salvation sin and The Holy Spirit WILL convict us until we repent and walk in HIM, then we cannot sin. Galatians 5:16.

The CONTEXT of 2Ti 3:7 is that while there definitely IS ‘ever learning’ for the believer who HAS COME TO KNOW THE TRUTH through the Gospel – unlike the Pharisees who NEVER ARRIVED at The Truth - WHO IS CHRIST JESUS - to believe in Him for cleansing from sin. They remain lost in THE LIE of Satan.

2Tim2:15 STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. (Bible's literal interpretation)

The CONTEXT of 2 Tim 3:5 reveals this does NOT concern a Spirit filled believer at all. A believer is robed in the Righteousness of Christ, because Jesus took our unrighteousness upon Himself. The believer IS ‘godly’, not by works, but because Jesus clothes us and declares us to be Righteous. However the unsaved can only ever have a FORM of godliness and lack the power which inhabits the believer who is indwelt by the Holy Spirit's power.

The believer has a CHOICE to EITHER walk in the carnal man or in The Holy Spirit. The unbeliever has NO choice BUT to walk in the flesh with their ‘filthy rags’ righteousness of self work.

Wrongly dividing the Word of Truth and PERSISTENTLY plucking verses out of their God given context, is grossly unprofitable to practitioner and hearer alike, and a direct hindrance to ever knowing The Truth with any Holy Spirit led depth. From such turn away.

Scott,

Jesus was chastising the religious people. He wasn't stooping down and calling them juvenile words, making up rhymes about Obama, Achmadinajab, and others. These are pawns that need salvation through Jesus Christ like you and I. There is meaning behind the words that He chose; THIEVES, HYPOCRITES,BLIND GUIDES,FOOLS AND BLIND, SERPENTS, OFFSPRING OF VIPERS.

These terms are rich in meaning.

Just sayin...

Ok Scott,
One more comment and I am moving on.

It's ok for Caver to imply that I "have a form of Godliness, but deny the power therof."

It's ok for Caver to imply that I am "ever learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the Truth.

But it is not ok for me to defend the Scriptures that clearly show that this World is not our home and and not worth trying to defend.

I won't go into the other hypocrisy that has been a large part of the comment section for many months.

I will add that it grieves me to see so many Bros and Sisters come here with Scriptural Truth, only to be run off because of there stand for the Truth.

Robert

Expected Imminently said...

Oh well said Robert. Hear, hear, that man!

Stick to your arguments, which, as stated have validity worthy of discussion. Bringing concepts into the equation such as "hypocrisy" "on the board" into play , to be honest sounds somewhat childish and petty and then, in turn, make you lose momentum and meaning to what should be a worthy discussion. This isn't High School. Why bring those irrelevant items into play. It also reveals "an axe to grind", which also colors the original argument.

I thought the discussion was centered on the use of descriptive terms as directed to our modern day kings.

First of all - you are splitting hairs to distinguish what Jesus said to the "ruling body" of the day, the Pharisees and our "kings". That, to me is an interesting discussion.

You also split hairs regarding some differential between "Nest of Vipers" and whatever words have been used to describe our current king. I personally don't use such terminology, but thats just a matter of style - its not my style. But I defend the right of those to speak in whatever manner (short of profanity) that they choose.

Hello Scott
Jesus was speaking to those who were fouling and poisoning His Kingdom, preventing the salvation of souls by adding their own rules and regulations and claiming them to be of God. Truly they were sons of THE Serpent bent on the ultimate destruction of God’s chosen people, son’s of the Serpent are Vipers – it’s not ‘name calling’ it is a valid description. E.g Son’s of Thunder, it’s what they are like – literally.

President Obama may get up your nose, like Tony Blair got up mine, but they are not bent on the spiritual and physical destruction of God’s people, at least, not directly. God is using these men like He used Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus and Pharaoh. How can we be credible witnesses to The Gospel if we are being like children in the playground thinking up crude names to call people who, most likely, are LOST souls.

Deb is right, we DO get cheesed off by intolerable behaviour and want to take a verbal swing at them. THAT is when we need to say NO to self and YES, in obedience to God’s Word. Bless and pray for those who despitefully use you; bless, do not curse. Would you say these verses are ‘splitting hairs’. The Word is what it is – God’s ; we may find it inconvenient, but it’s His Truth any way we look at it.

Matt 5:44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47. And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so?

48. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

How many of the world’s Ambassadors speak in derogatory terms to the nations in which they are representing their king? These ideals are from the KJV not MSM.

Scott said...

Pointed to "those who fouling and poisoning his kingdom"..."claiming them to be of God"......Maybe you are unaware, but Obama is doing everything in his power to fight against God's people - Jew and Christian - and you see a separate distinction there? Really?

Are you also unaware of Obama's attempts (both personally and via the media) to compare himself to deity? Surely you are aware of that.

And somehow the above needs to be "protected speech" and somehow this differs from the Pharisees
claims to impose rules based on their view of God's rule? I'm sorry, but I fail to see this distinction.

He isn't "bent on spiritual and physical destruction of God's people, at least not directly"? ARE YOU KIDDING? Seriously?

How can I take this seriously with such claims?

This isn't a matter of getting "cheesed off by intolerable behavior" - My goodness, I wish that was the extent of the problems we have under this administration - and to reduce it to a sound bite like that - while we are seeing the DESTRUCTION OF FREEDOM in this country and the overt aggression against Israel by supporting her enemies.

I see a clear misunderstanding of what is happening in this country.

It is not my intent to cause dissention on your blog. I've enjoyed reading the news on a "Christian" blog, from the perspective of the Word of God.
If those commenting post comments using Scripture that is pulled out of context whether deliberate or not, it is the duty of the rest of us to correct those perhaps wrong, or to stand and be corrected. It is my own intention to grow in the Word. I would hope you, as the owner of this blog, would want to see the rest of us grow and not be confused by unscriptural teaching, or verses used out of context to be corrected and willing to correct.
It is not wrong to ask one to post verses to support their position or stance, so the rest of us may learn from them.
Please correct me if I am wrong in my assumption. If this is not what your goals are on this blog, I will move along.

Caver..its completely okay. Shannon with all due respect this all started because someone called obama ..ovomit..I mean give me a break! That was not something to start a lecture on and start pointing out scripture over. The fact that we all are argueing over that is ridiculous.

I am catching up on the last few days having been at a blessed wedding for our son. I have spent time in betweeb events praying hard for believers in these countries who have been on a tear since the Libya mess.It is scary to me to see so much hate from people.
I started a thread like this a long time ago and got spanked pretty good for being offended over name calling. I have decided that it is Scott's blog and so I just feel disappointment in the terms biut try and get the gist of what is meant.
I will add these two small thoughts though.
1/we are gifted with words and responsible for them. They are powerful and sometimes get in the way of what our ultimate goal is.
We want to glorify Christ both in truth telling AND in holding forth the word of life. Name calling is not as effective as real description of the offense. Not mentioned above, when Jesus used descriptive terms, He was speaking TO those people OR warning others to not BE like them.He didn't just call them names whenever He referred to their name.
2/ Just thinking about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was extreme and on the offense not defense. God uses bothe sorts of people. But I'm remembering how his writings from prison have been so mightily used through the years since his death because he used real words and taught whole concepts.
I have learned alot over time from a number of you and treasure your
desire to be both truthful and Scripturally based.
We are to be wholesome . He commands it. ANd we are to speak the truth.DON'T let the name calling weaken your arguments. For some of us that is sadly what happens. Love to you all

Hello Waterer

I remember that thrashing you got – I saw how hard you struggled with the injustice. It was DrNofog that stood up for you. That gave him a black mark, he was finally doused in scorn and ridicule – and there goes another one, just like the other one…

My point for writing this is that it is nothing to do with one of US being offended; most here are not phased by loose Grammar, I am familiar with more forceful blasts than the childish ‘ovomit’ gives.

Believers are to be Ambassadors for Christ and need to think how our vapid expressions affect unbelievers, and those young in the faith. It is a poor example to set, and more of a repellent, than an enticement to the Gospel. It makes us blend in with the world which is contrary to our being called out from the world.

It also makes a joke out of so called ‘christian love’ that can ‘love’ it’s own but fails with those deplored. That is carnal; not Holy Spirit led God’s Love that is based on ‘laying down our lives/self for others.

Our example is The Father giving a fallen world His only begotten Son to die for them. Divine Love is totally selfless, not defensive over personal faults.

Hi Caver,

I admire your love and passion for your country. I believe that through good ole fashioned hard work, blood sweat and tears your country can be turned around and when given back into the hands of the people great things can be done.

Your passion is biblical. Look at King David; he loved his city of Jerusalem and was indeed a man after God's own heart. In Psm 101 he swore to rid the city of all evil and wicked men. Thats passion Caver and he was never accused of promoting idolatry because of his love. When Jesus sat and wished to take Jersalem under his wing as a hen takes her chicks, well He demonstrated passion and love for sinful Israel. Was Jesus ever acussed of promoting Idolatry? No.

America was founded on passion and a belief that your nation will one day patrol the seven seas bringing peace and freedom to weak and down trodden nations and to bring swift deserving justice to mungrel, dictatorial nations.

That doctrine was founded on vision, purpose and determination; not by sitting around a table in a saloon playing cards and drinking shots of whiskey.

Keep up your passion and love for your nation as she goes through this time of reaping the consequences of sinfull and wicked decisions which have been brought to being by bad government. It's people like yourself that forms the pillars of a moral Godly American society.

Once again you are trying to stir things up and its REALLY upsetting and I, for one, am sick and tired of it

David said...

Call it like you see it.........opinions vary according to the author's personality. Remember, all of is have been right and wrong at times....the bottom line is and always will be.....let him that is without sin cast the first stone.

David said...

I'm not of this world. Unfortunately I live in this world. I'm not perfect, I sin everyday, people can say whatever they like, as a freedom of speech, however my point simply put by saying cast the first stone is none of us are blameless, or without blemish. So all the correcting or I'm right or someone is wrong by saying something someone didn't like is fruitless. Yes I agree with you that childish and ignorant people whose only purpose is to stir the pot should grow up but they won't and none of us can change them. I'm just grateful you and I and others here are saved. The time is closely at hand. Government will never change. Whether someone has or doesn't have salvation is the only thing that matters.

Sue,

Many blessings to you too!

I too have felt alone trying to warn others of the wiles of the devil on various blogs.

Interestingly, there are quite a few of us; most just quit posting because of the flogging such as what you and I and Shannon have received the last few days.

In 1998 or 99 I started visiting Rapture Ready and the same thing happened there. Whats amazing is that 2 of the worst offenders were banned from RR and lo and behold they popped up here and they post regularly with the same venom.

Exodus 23:27
“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.

Deuteronomy 12:2
Destroy completely all the places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree, where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods.

Joshua 23:3
You yourselves have seen everything the LORD your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the LORD your God who fought for you.

Esther 3:14
A copy of the text of the edict was to be issued as law in every province and made known to the people of every nationality so they would be ready for that day.

Genesis 12:3 "Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed"

I think we can make a very strong case scripturally we need to fight for good government that will be a blessing to the people and not a burden or curse. We are also called in the NT to be salt and light in our enviornment.

God obviously blessed our nation's founders who fought in the Revolutionary war and rebelled against bad government and they were clearly men of God.

For me personally I am glad I live in a Country that blessed Israel, sends Missionaries to the world with the Gospel and has the freedom to worship.

Thankfully the "greatest generation" of Americans did not have the attitide of isolationism and pacificism that is being supported by some here.

Shannon I would be interested to hear your testimony of salvation since you are new to us here.

"...
Where, oh where! is there provision in Scripture for the concept of a "God-fearing country? let alone "one that is worth preserving"?..."

Shannon, I'll give you the answer just as soon as you show us where I said it was scriptural.

Yikes, this technique is so old and deceptive.

I never said it was scriptural, and you know it. You invented that out of thin air.

Fact is....I will struggle to preserve many things that are God fearing, especially my old country. I have fought for it. I have had many friends that died for it, because it was good as it gets in this fallen world. Its worth preserving. Am sure you can't see that, and you obviously can't by your comment, but that's OK. Some of us can.

Waterer said...

Thanks for the Scripture WV. I believe in the nations and in praying for peace, making peace where we can. There is a time for fighting too,for building up and tearing down.

It is the one world movement , so like
the tower of babel that is making all fighting and defending a blur of mixed loyaltys and secret contriving conspiracys . I believe wht you say is true too. Dave down under ( GLAD to see you). Our country has been built with so much love and loyalty.
My prayer is that we will turn to the Lord and not use our freedom for just our own pleasure but for the alien and trapped people who look to us for hope.

Robert, I am so tempted to respond to this......but it speaks such volumes I think I'll just let it stand on its own.

Whew...such darkness emerging from the shadows...interesting with all the Self Righteousness being thrown around you'd think we were in the Spanish Inquisition. No, thats right, its "Apostasy Now".
But then again, that same blind Self Righteous Spirit never went away over the centuries it still so obviously dwells in individuals till this day. We should rejoice though, as this is another affirmation of what Jesus said it would be like, EXACTLY! Look up! Look up! Our Redemption draweth nigh!

Sue, Caver withdrew because he had to go to work. It happens often.

Sometimes I'm able to pop on for a minute or two.....and this is something you know quite well.

There is only one time these threads get sidetracked and turn into time suckers. That's when you make your appearance with your many personalities.

Thank you Sue,

Perhaps I should have spent a little more time on the 'earthly' side of this conversation.

Indeed, I am not advocating abandoning a persons country that he or she resides in.

Matthew 6: 19-34. Spot on, Sue!

Caver, when I read your response concerning the downfall of the USA, it caused a knot in my stomach. Here is what you stated;

"Take me down, but it's gonna be kicking, shouting, protesting, hooting-and-holloring and scratching every inch of the way..."
Again, I direct you to the above Scriptures.

We are to pray for the lost, including our leaders, no matter how evil/ lesser of two evils they appear to us. Time is short as you are aware.

Sue

Do you always have conversations with yourself?

Just curious :) And you most definitely know what I am talking about. Seriously Sue - you need to find a better way to spend your time. Get a hobby, get some pets, start some arts and crafts work. But what you spend your time doing now may not be the best way to spend your time. But its your life, if you want to spend it behind a keyboard doing what you do - go for it girl.

Scott said...

And I'll say one more thing - Sue (and whoever). I have resisted dealing with this for the LONGEST time, mainly because of the fact that I have other things to do and I'm busy and I don't like to get in the mud - I prefer to stay above these kinds of things. But its gone on long enough and now I just have to deal with it. But I have been aware of this for a long time now and it WILL stop here and now.

Scott said...

In case this gets missed - I'm going to post same message on the other thread

YES! However do you know ... I am ALWAYS talking to myself and Jesus - out loud whenever I am alone. I have NEVER done it on the blog though, so thats yet another false accusation you have slandered me with. MY 'hobby' is reading my Bible and talking to Father - with all my family duties I have no time for more.

Still I don't expect that will stop the lies via false messages from the spirit world.

Still praying that The Lord will open up the eyes of your understanding and set you free.
