Israel And The New Middle East II

This follow-up article comes from Israel Today - the bolded statement gives the bottom line:

The situation is equally bad on the Syrian border with some experts fearing that things will just get worse with Assad’s fall. Syrian's current president has always been a staunch supporter of Iran and its proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas, but he cooperated with Israel when it came to security. Now, however, with Assad's grip on Syria loosening, Israel’s northern front might begin to evolve towards a Sinai-type situation. Just like in Egypt, Syria finds itself flooded with Iranian, Turkish and Saudi weapons reaching the country from Turkey, Iraq and Jordan.

However, Barak sees Assad’s ouster as an opportunity, hoping that it would break the Syrian-Iranian axis and weaken various terror cells operating under those countries’ umbrellas. The only problem is that other – more hostile blocs – can pop up instead. After seizing power in Egypt (to the rejoicing of Hamas), the Muslim Brotherhood might end up ruling Syria as well, forming a poisonous alliance that could be directed against Israel.

But when (and if) the Syrian regime finally collapses, the sectarian strife will inevitably escalate, pushing thousands of Alawites -- supporters of Assad that make up some 10-12% of the Syrian population -- to flee for their lives, for fear of retribution by the Sunnis who will take over.

This video is worth watching, as it reveals the growing worldwide threat of the Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia Law:

I appear here before you in the city of Brussels in the year 2012, almost five years after I appeared in the same place, and for the same purpose.

Brussels is the "capital of Europe”, and by all rights should be an enlightened city in the heart of an enlightened continent.

Yet this is not so. The unaccountable bureaucracy of the European Union is now widely considered to be a "soft” totalitarian regime — and getting harder all the time

This should not have been possible. Our basic freedoms have long been guaranteed — first by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as passed by the United Nations in 1948, and then buttressed by the Council of Europe in 1950 through the European Convention of Human Rights, which was later affirmed by the European Union. Our individual countries have additionally codified the same basic rights in their own constitutions.

Yet freedom of speech is under attack today all across Europe. I have experienced the full brunt of it in my own country, Austria — I was prosecuted, convicted, and fined for telling the simple truth about the prophet of Islam.

Today, in 21st century Western Europe, our right to free speech is being shut down quietly and systematically with an effectiveness that the commissars in the old Soviet Union could only dream of.

The nations of Western Europe have obediently complied with the EU’s "Framework Decision”, and have enacted laws criminalizing speech that offends Muslims.

The death throes of free speech in Europe have already begun.

This shouldn't be surprising. After all, a regathered Roman Empire will ultimately produce the antichrist, followed by worldwide rule including the most draconian form of government ever seen.

The following account serves as a representation of where things are going and it is very chilling plus it offers a view of the future:

In the fall of 2009 I was made aware that "hate speech” charges might be filed against me — I had "denigrated religious teachings” by giving one of my public lectures on Islam.

The possibility of my prosecution was not communicated to me directly, but through articles in the press. The evidence used against me was a transcript of a tape of my lecture, provided to the court by the same socialist newspaper. It included words that were not spoken by me, and words that were not spoken in public, which therefore were not a violation of the law.

But my case was not really about the law. It was a political trial, and like the trials of Geert Wilders and Jussi Halla-aho, it was intended to silence someone who speaks out against the barbaric nature of sharia law.

Above all else, it was intended to discourage anyone who might consider following in my footsteps. The oligarchs who rule Europe are determined to prevent any frank discussion among their citizens about Islam and its legal doctrines.

These are the methods of a totalitarian state.

We are systematically being silenced.

If we lose our freedom of speech, then we are lost forever.

We will no longer enjoy what constitutional rights remain to us now. Our rights will be completely prescribed and delimited by sharia. Women will become the virtual chattel of men. Christians and Jews will be driven out or forced to convert to Islam. Atheists and homosexuals will be killed.

The European Union would consider these words to be "hate speech”. Under the Framework Decision, they are classified as "racism and xenophobia”, and we can be prosecuted for saying them.

But they are in fact the simple truth.

Anyone can verify them by studying history. Anyone who chooses can read the Koran and the hadith and the Sunna of the Prophet

man, that is scary stuff. This whole thing is coming to a giant crescendo. I pray for Isreal everyday. Ive recently fowarded your blog to my brothers and sisters who I go to church with. We know time is near but I dont think they know HOW near. I tell them the things I read on here and it blows their minds sometimes...I feel like God WANTS His people to stop and recognize how close we are to the rapture and the tribulation. Kind of like snapping His fingers in our faces and saying "wake up!" I feel I need to really start witnessing to people, my loved ones AND strangers. Time is so near! I am on pins and needles just waiting for that glorious moment we all meet up with each other and see our Lord! Many thanks for your hard work, Scott.

Scott-i heard something on Christian radio yesterday that made me cry so hard I had to pyll my car over and weep! In the Sudan recently, a teenage boy who was a Christian, was told to convert to Islam. When he refused, the muslim said "if you want to live like Christ, than you shall die like Christ!" And they crucified him, nailed him to a cross. :(
My heart was broken. He was just a boy. Could I stand for Jesus under that type of duress?
Please, in your daily prayers, pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters and also for the future tribulation saints!

Dan,
I agree and that is a large part of my sense of urgency to get this message out. Thanks for the comments

Ally -- Always remember Matt 5:11-12. Jesus promised that such acts would be richly rewarded in heaven when someone experiences persecution.

Just a little comment on Ally's post. I brought my kids up to always be prepared for the day that they had to choose between their 'life' (here), and Jesus Christ. That they were prepared, and understood what that choice meant. I have no doubt that they would make the same choice today as that boy made.

I have always considered this....God WANTS to reward us. Why do we have trials, persecution, tribulations allowed in our lives? I think God allows these things to occur for people, and my take is it is God giving us an opportunity to serve Him....and opportunity to sacrifice for Him....why? So He can reward us accordingly. He said he wouldnt allow more than we can handle, but each person is different.

That boy will see a wonderful reward..WHERE IT MATTERS....My trials may not be as great, or a one shot thing, but He knows what opportunities He wants to give me. I try on each one to choose as He would have me, and hopefully I earn as many rewards as He has given me the opportunity to earn!

Thank you Lord, for all the opportunities you allow me to have in your name, and the blessings that will be there when it counts!

Ally, truly heartbreaking..I often wonder myself how I would handle REAL persecution. I could only have hope in Christ that I would be that steadfast.

Mike~ Your words resonate with me, to have true painful affliction on this earth is almost a gift when handled how Christ would want us to handle it with boldness and faith in eternal grace and reward that only the begotten son provided for us thru his resurrection! Marty;)

After reading the above comments above, I came across this verse.....

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ."

(1 Peter 1:6-7)

I had never thought of it this way....and it seems so appropriate.
