I could only have hope in Christ that I would be that steadfast.

Mike~ Your words resonate with me, to have true painful affliction on this earth is almost a gift when handled how Christ would want us to handle it with boldness and faith in eternal grace and reward that only the begotten son provided for us thru his resurrection! That they were prepared, and understood what that choice meant. I have no doubt that they would make the same choice today as that boy made.

I have always considered this....God WANTS to reward us. Why do we have trials, persecution, tribulations allowed in our lives? I think God allows these things to occur for people, and my take is it is God giving us an opportunity to serve Him....and opportunity to sacrifice for Him....why? So He can reward us accordingly. He said he wouldnt allow more than we can handle, but each person is different.

That boy will see a wonderful reward..WHERE IT MATTERS....My trials may not be as great, or a one shot thing, but He knows what opportunities He wants to give me. I try on each one to choose as He would have me, and hopefully I earn as many rewards as He has given me the opportunity to earn!

Thank you Lord, for all the opportunities you allow me to have in your name, and the blessings that will be there when it counts!

MikeMikenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-87209870399679456172012-07-15T18:06:29.853-04:002012-07-15T18:06:29.853-04:00Dan,

Thanks for the comments

Ally -- Always remember Matt 5:11-12. In the Sudan recently, a teenage boy who was a Christian, was told to convert to Islam. When he refused, the muslim said "if you want to live like Christ, than you shall die like Christ!" And they crucified him, nailed him to a cross. :(
My heart was broken. He was just a boy. Could I stand for Jesus under that type of duress?
Please, in your daily prayers, pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters and also for the future tribulation saints!
MaranathaAllynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3432851080052468710.post-75534976480309908362012-07-15T11:13:22.948-04:002012-07-15T11:13:22.948-04:00man, that is scary stuff. Ive recently fowarded your blog to my brothers and sisters who I go to church with. We know time is near but I dont think they know HOW near. I tell them the things I read on here and it blows their minds sometimes...I feel like God WANTS His people to stop and recognize how close we are to the rapture and the tribulation. Kind of like snapping His fingers in our faces and saying "wake up!" I feel I need to really start witnessing to people, my loved ones AND strangers. Time is so near! I am on pins and needles just waiting for that glorious moment we all meet up with each other and see our Lord! Many thanks for your hard work, Scott.DANnoreply@blogger.com
