4.2 magnitude quake shakes Israel

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale struck less than ten minutes before noon Sunday and was felt in various parts of the country. The institute received reports from people who felt the quake in Haifa, Afula, Tel Aviv, Herzliya and Kibbutz Nativ.


Rare Quake Rocks Israel's Coast

An unusual and rare earthquake struck Israel’s central coast Sunday, and tremors were felt as far south as Gaza. The earthquake registered 4.3 on the Richter scale, and no one was injured.

“We have no trace of any historic important earthquakes in the past” in the area, earthquake-report.com reported.


Lieberman says he'll ask gov't to cut all ties with PA

FM: Palestinians planning unprecedented violence in September; PA can't have both security cooperation, try to bring Hague charges against IDF; warns against taking defense funds for social programs.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said in a press conference Sunday he will ask the government to cut off all contact with the Palestinian Authority, including security cooperation.

Lieberman also said that it was clear that with the expected statehood recognition vote at the UN in September, the PA was planning “the worst violence and spilling of blood that we have ever seen.”

He ridiculed claims by the PA that they were only interested in non-violent protests, saying that if they plan a march of thousands of people to checkpoints, and try to pass through the check points, it is clear there will be violence.

He said that the Palestinians were busy planning the details of the march, including how to transport people, and which checkpoints to march on.

Lieberman said that cutting off ties with the PA was necessary to get across the message that they cannot work against Israel on all international fronts without facing any consequences. “They have to understand that there is a price,” he said.


Lieberman Warns PA Ready for 'Bloodshed' in September

Lieberman said the PA is making preparations to carry out wholesale bloodshed in September. At that time, the PA plans to ask the United Nations to officially recognize it as an independent country, and to grant it membership status within the international body.

The foreign minister said PA officials, despite claims of “non-violent action,” are instead preparing to flood checkpoints with tens of thousands of PA Arabs who might then force their way past IDF soldiers and into Israel's major cities.

“The Palestinian Authority is getting ready for bloodshed on a scale we haven't seen,” he warned. “The more they speak about non-violent action, the more they are preparing for bloodshed.”

I have heard that it could take anywhere from one day to 3 weeks for all currencies to be converted to one global currency. And with the conversion there will be most certainly a loss in trade value. QE3 will begin and that, in my opinion, will be the final nail in the coffin as far as the US economy is concerned.

I know we are all looking to September as the month for things to come to a head. However, I have the nagging feeling that Israel may have to act before then to defend their country, as in a pre-emptive strike against Syria. We shall see.

I think you are correct on Hawking.

It brings to mind 1 Cor 2:4

"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words but with a demonstration of the spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power"

And verse 14:

"The man without the spirit does not accept the things that come from the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them..."

Yes gearedup2go...I think by September it may all be over but the shouting (church age)...which of course we will be doing on the way up. Maranatha!

It is all so sureal..I keep thinking this is really it. We are really going to see Christ return in our life time. We are really going to receive our glorified bodies. We are really going to see Christ face to face. We are really going to the marriage super of the lamb...sooner rather than later I might add. Start the count down folks 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...Amazing!

Thank you Jesus for choosing me. I am so unworthy. You Lord however are most worthy! Thank you Jesus for paying for my sin debt that I could never pay. We bow down and worship the King!

Just read Romans 10:9 for all those who want to go with us.

Thanks for asking gearedup2go about the Sunday School retreat. I went well. We studied the life of Joshua. Good teaching, good fellowship and good fun. It is held in a beautiful location yearly and I always come home encouraged and thinking it was just a little taste of how heaven will be. Then we have to go home and re-enter the "real world"...but better prepared I might add. :)

Hopefully we will be heading to our real home very soon and live in perpetual "retreat" How sweet it will be!!

Reaction to the financial downgrade of the US debt is reverberating over the Asian markets now. Gold was over 1700/oz earlier and Silver is up almost $2/oz. I say this not as a statement of wealth for anyone but as an indicator of how stable the world's investors feel about the current financial stability levels of the nations

Whoops.....adding to above comment....in all of our history this type volatility was concern over the economics of the market as a whole, the companies listed on the stock exchanges.

This is the first time, to my knowledge, this is being expressed as concern over entire countries or groups of countries.

A very sobering thought.

And, IMHO, I don't think this is an accident....just blind folk making bad economic decisions. This appears to me to be a deliberate take down by powerful individuals in the very governments being taken down.
