Why these scriptures today?
Because Israel's very existence - even in their ancient land, after 2,000 years of dispersion throughout the nations - is a modern day miracle. Not only is it a modern day miracle, but God informed us of this event through His prophets, over 2,500 years ago.
Such prophecies offer not only proof of God's very existence, but proof of the reliability and accuracy of a literal view of biblical prophecy.
Israel is alive and well.
Israel kicks off 63rd Independence Day celebrations
The nation celebrated 63 years since the State of Israel's establishment on Monday night, as Independence Day got underway across the country.
The abrupt transition from Remembrance Day to Independence Day was marked by the annual torch-lighting ceremony on the capital's Mount Herzl.
That says it all.
God declared it - so it happened. Its just that simple.

About the mark of the beast, I have nothing against the RFID being the mark, (correct me if im wrong)but what about the whole bearing his image part? Will it be like a tattoo or something? I've always thought it would just be an implant, but now I'm starting to think it'll be something visible too. What are your thoughts?

Glory to God! His Word is Faithful and True and it Always comes to fruitition. This is why I can trust him at all times no matter how dire things may become!
Dylan-I dont think we know yet but everyday we get closer in technology to figuring it out.. I believe it willbe as recognizable say as Hitler's swastika or SS symbol, or mac's apple. Maybe they will rfid right where the mark is? Pure speculation on my part.ask Jesus to show you :D-ally
Is it just me, or does it seem that biblical prophecy has alot of riddles? I can see how some christians don't pay attention or just plain out don't care about end time prophecy. I don't know why I'm so interested in prophecy, it's really confusing at times. I guess it's just interesting to see how God plays out his prophecies.
Psalm83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation;
that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
It sounds alot like the Palestinian map that doesn't include Israel that you mentioned in earlier posts.

Scott thanks for the verses. Replacement theology and allergorizing scripture drive me up a wall. I am currently debating another "christian" on secular forum about this very issue. These guys are so 'arrogant/prideful' for lack of a better word.
How can the fumble the ball on the meaning of those verses so badly? It is a huge stretch to miss what it says and they are missing out on a true miralce and deny the confimation this gives to the Word of God. It boggles my mind.

There is actually a company now (Somark) who has developed the technology to have the microchip information embedded in ink, and they can literally give someone a tattoo which contains the same information.
Its a very interesting development and rec'd a lot of press about 18 months ago when the announcement was made.
Scott, you more than me, but we both have been tuned in to and following His prophetic Word for some time now.
The absolute literal fulfillment of His Word has just floored me. Somehow, I suspected, we would have to work to understand how His descriptions fit the situation. Now, you just have to wonder what is going to happen for Gogg to be advancing and destroyed on HORSES and the birds feasting on the carnage. He says it three times, in 3 different places, so we know its true.

You are so right. As a matter of fact, I can't recall how many times things have evolved even more literally than I had guessed. Prophecy always takes on a more literal fulfillment (as opposed to "less" literal) and it is indeed mind-blowing to sit here and watch prophecy coming together as it is. Amazing

Allegory produces multiple opinions = personal interpretations.Not allowed; it is adding too, and taking from God's Word.
The Bible uses allegory for emphasis, but it NEVER changes the literal meaning. To arrogant and prideful, I add wilful.
