Big Crisis = Big Change

We are seeing proof of this concept every day. The school shootings (big crisis) is now leading into draconian gun restrictions and perhaps confiscations, but even more importantly, we are seeing what amounts to a coming world financial collapse. With each instance, the result is another large step towards totalitarianism:

Also called a dictatorship.

Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday heard personal stories of gun violence from representatives of victims groups and gun-safety organizations as he drafts the Obama administration’s response to the shooting at a Connecticut elementary school. He pledged that action would be taken.
“I want to make it clear that we are not going to get caught up in the notion (that) unless we can do everything we’re going to do nothing,” Biden said. “It’s critically important (that) we act.”
The meeting was part of a series Biden is holding this week to build consensus around proposals to curb gun violence after the Dec. 14 shooting in Newtown, Conn. Twenty school children were killed.
Obama will consider using executive orders among the steps to curb gun violence following last month’s shooting, Biden said.

“The president and I are determined to take action,” Biden said at the start of a meeting with gun-control advocates and groups representing victims.
Executive orders are legally binding orders handed out to federal administrative agencies from the President. An executive order, known as an order in council or decree in other countries,  has the same legal power as laws passed by Congress.
Biden meets Thursday with the National Rifle Association and other gun-owner groups. Meetings with representatives of the video-game and entertainment industries also are planned.
President Barack Obama wants Biden to deliver policy proposals by the end of the month. Obama has vowed to move swiftly on the package, which is expected to include legislative proposals and executive action.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. Things are going to get even worse for Europe.
Meanwhile, those of us living in the United States smugly look down our noses at Europe because we are still living in a false bubble of debt-fueled prosperity.
But eventually we will feel the sting of austerity as well. The recent fiscal cliff deal was an indication of that. Taxes are going up and government spending is at least going to slow down. It won’t be too long before the effects of that are felt in the economy.
And of course the reality of the situation is that the U.S. economy really did not perform very well at all during 2012 when you take a look at the numbers. The cold, hard truth is that the U.S. economy has been declining for a very long time, and there are a whole bunch of reasons to expect that our decline will accelerate even further in 2013.
So if you are an American, don’t laugh at what is happening over in Europe at the moment. We are headed down the exact same path that they have gone, and we are going to experience the same kind of suffering that they are going through right now.
Use these last few “bubble months” to prepare for what is ahead. At some point this “hope bubble” will disappear and then the time for preparation will be over.

The greatest issue facing us in the short pull is the very real potential of our Federal government having a failed bond auction. They may have to buy up large amounts of existing Federal debt when rates are climbing.   If the Federal deficit spending continues upward at $1.7 to $2.0 trillion a year,  we chance losing another rating notch or two.  The equity markets and  pension funds, both national and foreign, are mandated to accept only AAA bonds. They will not only be unable to buy our debt they may ultimately be forced to divest as the near-junk bond status of our debt violates their investment charter.
If this happens the Fed and Treasury are very likely to pull out the nuclear option. They will raid our private pension funds, just like Spain.  They may even take foreign pensions invested in domestic funds.  That’s also on the table.

This $6-8 trillion pool of private IRAs and 401Ks is the only large source of funds left outside the MMAs multi trillion dollar pools.  The removal of pension funds is now established policy in Europe.  This Spanish ‘theft’ of funds,  done with little to no chance of repayment,  is not going unnoticed in the top levels of our government and the Federal Reserve Bank.   These people know that sooner than later there will be a failed bond auction or rating drop that forces their hand- and that hand will move into the pockets of the American tax payer and their private pensions.  It’s big money; it’s the only money and these people know it.  Call it the Failsafe option if you want. Bernanke knows this well.   The vast majority of the American population is completely unaware.

The owners of the IRAs will be compelled, first slowly and then more rapidly, to move their hard earned monies into GRAs or other annuity funds.  This expropriation has be discussed frequently at SilverDoctors.  The precedents set in motion in foreign lands will make this annuity system even more palatable to those who see these private monies as a new funding source. They will be taken under the guise of Fairness, Duty and Patriotic necessities.  The NDAA is just the mechanism to provide legal cover.  The law is set. Once the trigger is pulled it will be too late to stop this theft.

Hey, I just read Jerusalem woke up to about 4" of snow on the ground, today! And here I am in Cleveland and we're supposed to get up to 60 by Saturday. How weird is that??

I can't wait for this government run by corrupt humans is done with and God's government comes in. I'm just glad that God woke me up and drew my attention to prophecy when he did because if he didn't I would be blind to all of this right now. Thank you Jesus!

I agree JH...I get so mad at the politicians who refuse to talk about the real causes to our problems. These guys are so evil and the get better than half of the population to embrace their drivel. For example folks choose to believe the lies: evolution, global warming, gun control, it's not a baby, rewriting of history, those evil rich people need to pay their fair share, it's a normal lifestyle choice...and the list goes on and on...

I get mad too WVBORN, it's too bad that more people are so blind to what's going on and can't see that they're being manipulated and their freedom is being jacked.

Then, when you try and wake the people up to what is really going on it's like they're in a trance and cannot understand you even though they really need to.

Dutch, try coming and living in Alberta. It doesn't stay on the ground long because of chinooks, but we get episodes of heavy snow. In one right now. If you go to northern Alberta you'll have snow all winter and through most of the spring.

Scott i have a question for you...and anyone else interested: if obama bans guns then as Christians are we to obey the laws and comply?

WVBORN56 said...

hartdawg, if they ban them they are violating our constitution. I would resist or let them take me to jail. At that point we are in free fall as a nation at fully embracing totalitarian government. I would seek passive resistance and the ballot box as long as possible but if it ever reached that point of going door to door to confiscate all guns I would have to disobey the government at that point.

The only reason Russia did not invade at some point during the cold war, nor Germany or Japan in WWII is because they knew our citizens were heavily armed. It is a strong deterrent to tyranny and invasion. That is why our framers gave us the second amendment.

Dave Down Under said...

Coming from someone who doesn't understand the passion involved in your average American standing for the constitution, I would suggest no! My reasons being is because guns have nothing to do with your spiritual liberty in Christ and I'm guessing not having one will not affect your salvation.

Also the constitution isn't cannon of scripture.

the insistence on owning a gun comes from a constitutional privilege. So owning a gun in the end won't increase our personal safety because we'll die either way from refusing to give it up and/or through persecution.

So give the thing up cause in the end we all die if we're still here! Lol

Just my say
Dave

While I'm in total agreement with you, I'm just wondering if the biblical mandate to submit to governing authority applies here or if banning weapons violates a godgiven right of self defense and the biblical mandate doesn't apply (my position)

This whole gun issue doesn't bother me one bit . They're not going to take away all guns (That is a guaranteed Civil War) They are going to ban assualt weapons and probably limit you to a certain amount of bullets .

I think the biggest threat is if Obama uses "executive priviledge" to take ANYthing away there are going to be problems . Of the people i know who own assualt weapons (brother , dad , and a bunch of uncles in Michigan) They're a rootin tootin bunch of right wingers who really don't like the government to begin with (as are most country boys) Thats where i think it going to get very dangerous out in the country . As for the Government going door to door confiscating ALL weapons . Not gonna happen . There would be 160,000,000 million people vs 1.3 million .Our gubbermint knows this .

Peace
Nate

One of the viral videos starring an x-marine said it best (paraphrasing) - any "law" that is passed which is against the constitution isn't a law. And I agree with that. I believe the law of this land is still - theoretically anyway - the constitution. I'm happy to comply with everything in the constitution.

WVBORN56 said...

Dave Down Under, I hear you and I am still pretty sure the Lord will most likely return before the USA heads down this path to complete totalitarianism.

However, if not some things are worth fighting for. Our founders who penned our constitution were believers and godly men. This document while not scripture I believe was God inspired. It has been the beacon for freedom and much of what has been good in this world in the last 200 years. It has most likely provided freedom for many weaker nations throughout the world who have been our friends.

Bottom line when good men do nothing evil prevails. Freedom is not free but comes with the cost of the blood of good men who stand in its way. I hope the Lord returns before we are forced to make this choice.

Dave Down Under said...

Hi WV, no problem. The emotional attachment to the constitution is a very precious thing, and saying what I said was in no was no attempt on my part to cheapen its value.

If you don't mind me saying I don't see the sense in getting into a lot of trouble just for the sake of exercising my rite to keep a gun. Surely Our Lord would have us fight with equal zeal for other matters like abortion for instance.

At the same time I'm all for gun ownership but not at the expense of my personal safety or at the cost of being fined or going to jail.

Anyway blessings to all you gun owners over there and I hope you get your way. If you do that's certainly one up for maintaining the relevance of the constitution.

Based on all the "stuff" that has come out, there is sufficient reason to believe .....

Obama is NOT our leader because he is not eligible for the office, he was NOT born here.

At any rate, we are also to obey the Laws of the Land, and they clearly instruct us to resist any form of tyranny AND give us the right to own and bear for just such a reason.

In fact, I would argue that the laws of our land INSTRUCT us to resist this grab for power.

Mrs.C said...

“Loving your enemies,” and “turn the other cheek,” is a command for individuals in personal relationships. It is not a command for governments or for individuals put in certain bodily harm. We are to Pray for our enemies and “turn the other cheek” instead of returning insult for insult. This behavior demonstrates Jesus’ power of love through us, with the hope of leading the offender’s to Christ. But those commands do not mean that we have no right to personal self defense.

Regarding self-defense, not only does the Old Testament affirm that right (Ex.22:2), but Jesus Himself told his disciples to sell their cloak and buy a sword (Luke 22:36).

It would be absurd to say that “love your enemies” means “allow whomever to kill your family.” That would not be loving and caring for your family...

Exodus 22:2
2 If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed.

Luke 22:36
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Dave, no problem at all. I value your input and opinion and love you dearly as a brother in Christ. "Iron sharpens iron". None of us has a corner on infallibility. In fact I went to bed last night not feeling fully at peace with all aspects of my position. It is easy to be brave behind a keyboard when shared anonymously.

The area I frankly questioned is we know totalitarianism wins out at the end of the day and we are also know we are going home soon so is it a lack of faith on my part to be so engaged in the battles of this world? I think we do. As long as we are still here we need to represent God and the causes of good until we are called home. I was unsettled not because I thought my position was un-biblical but because it seemed like it was a lack of faith on my part to fight what I know is a losing battle. Not sure if what I am saying makes sense or not?

We need to wrestle out these gray areas with the Holy spirit and God's word. Mrs. C's scripture was also very helpful and shed's important light on this discussion. Anyway, God Bless Mate! :)

Hi Brother WV, :)
First I hope all is going well with you regarding your health :)
Jesus never said to any of us that it would be easy during these Last Days. I remember as a babe in Christ, reading Prophecy and thinking "goodness, He sure says "fear not" ALOT"! and naively thinking "oh, we'll be gone by then". Of course, decades later, as walking with Him has grown, I, we, can see Prophecy much more clearly.
As we live in a broken world, we are expected to continue to follow Jesus, and fight for the many things you mentioned dear Brother.
We can get discouraged in this world, tired, rundown, and disheartened with all we witness. We can get very cranky, and throw up our hands at all this, just like little children. And just like little children, we can grab onto His leg and not let go as we continue through this life here on Earth. He tells us, draw close to Him, and He draws close to us! :)
The Blessing is that we have the most awesome Loving Father in Heaven, who knows each and every one of us by name since the beginning of all time! He allowed each one of us to be born into this generation, at the edge of all time! WOW! What a PRIVELAGE! What confidence He has in each and every one of us! So much so, that He created a special Crown!
I guess for me personally, I often think of Paul. Fighting the good fight, finishing the race, and focusing on that which is good through it all! For me Jesus made it clear what we are to do while we wait, when He spoke in Matthew 24 of the Good Servant, and the Evil Servant.

It wont be long dear Brother, it wont be long at all. And when the final culminated Prophecies are fulfilled by Him, it will happen with lightning speed...

God Bless!

As for Stephan. The stock market could crash on a dime... 9/11 for example... Not sure why you are stuck on this point.

Good morning WV, Caver and Mrs C. I have really enjoyed this discussion with you all particularly with you WV, in opening up your heart to me. I am really humbled that you have let me make the statements I have considering I'm not even American. And WV you have understood my position right down the line with the understanding and love of an older brother/mamm(it's just occurred to me I don't know anything about you, lol).

I do understand where your coming from WRT fighting the worlds battles, as I guess that was where I was coming from as well. Except I was portraying more of a defeatist opinion, where as you came across on a more spiritual flavour. Bless you WV like I said for being so patient and understanding. Considering the climate America is in, the nuisance posters that Scott has to deal with it must be hard to discern who is genuine and who is being antagonistic.

Caver and MRS C, thanks for your opinion and scripture in-puts as well. Caver, having a vague understanding of American culture and beliefs I respect the right for both Christian and non Christian to take up arms and go for it against an enemy government. I just see the futility of defending certain freedoms that's all. In Australia we don't have the passion mindset of defending a constitution, or carry much passion for anything Government at the moment, and I guess being in my position I can look into your space and see things you can't...if you what I mean, not I'm necessarily right in my beliefs either! Oh Mrs C the verses in Luke about taking up sword really jumped out at me and believe me Im all for self defence and will do what ever it takes to defend my family. This namby-pamby belief that countries should lay down arms and not fight is absolute rubbish. And is a spit in the face to the men and women who have fought and died on battlefields all over the world.

Anyway thanks again guys and WV bless you.

Blessings all
Dave

Goodmorning I am a gun owner and the last thing I would want to do is give that right up. But it does say In Romans 13:1 (Obey the government, for God is the one who put it there. All governments have been placed in power by God. So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God.) What I believe and this is just my opinion. Is that God wants us to get His Word out over giving up our guns. I believe what is happening in America and around the world is all part of Gods plan. If we do lose our gun rights than our faith needs to be stronger than ever that God will protect us, He is more powerful than any weapon. I believe that we need to get people to Christ. I believe that is what God wants, and that is what Paul is telling us in Romans.
Like was said I to hope the Lord comes before all this takes place.

God bless you all
