Signs of the Times

The signs that we have been given to watch - signs of the end of this age - are in abundance these days. Every day we are surrounded by the signs and today is no exception:

1. The continual growth of the Revived Roman Empire - into a form of governance that we would expect:

As we know, the ultimate 'end game' for the Roman Empire II will be to morph into "10 Kings" and produce the antichrist. We also know that this current form of Roman government will serve as a template for the the future, as the 10 Kings will exist only to serve the antichrist and his world reign. The handwriting is on the wall:

Germany's secret plans to derail a British referendum on the EU

Germany has drawn up secret plans to prevent a British referendum on the overhaul of the European Union amid concerns it could derail the eurozone rescue package, leaked documents obtained by The Daily Telegraph disclose.

The leaked memo, written by the German foreign office, discloses radical plans for an intrusive new European body that will be able to take over the economies of beleaguered eurozone countries.

German plans to deal with the eurozone crisis involve an erosion of national sovereignty that could pave the way for a European “super state” with its own tax and spending plans set in Brussels.

Amid protests in Milan and Turin, Mario Monti, Italy’s unelected “technocrat” prime minister unveiled sweeping austerity reforms. Mr Monti warned that a break-up of the single currency would take eurozone economies “back to the 1950s” in terms of wealth.

The six-page German foreign ministry paper sets out plans for the creation of a European Monetary Fund with a transfer of sovereignty away from member states.

Just take a look at the key terms: "secret plans", "intrusive new European body", "take over economies", "erosion of national sovereignty", "European super-state", "transfer of sovereignty away from states"...Exactly what we would expect as the Tribulation approaches. The new Roman Empire is paving the way for the Tribulation form of government which will rule.

The confidential blueprint sets out Germany’s plan to tackle the eurozone debt crisis by creating a “stability union” that will be “immediately followed by moves “on the way towards a political union”.

It will prompt fears that Germany’s euro crisis plans could result in a European super-state with spending and tax plans set in Brussels.

The proposals urge that the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), a eurozone bailout fund that will be established by the end of next year, should be transformed into a version of the International Monetary Fund for the EU.

The European Monetary Fund (EMF) would be able to take full fiscal control of a failing country, including taking countries into receivership.

Angela Merkel says UK must work with the eurozone or risk being "left behind"

The German Chancellor will demand British support for treaty changes to allow greater intervention in national economies – powers she says are vital to stem the crisis engulfing Europe’s core.

Antibiotic-resistant infections spread throughout Europe

The world is being driven towards the "unthinkable scenario of untreatable infections", experts are warning, because of the growth of superbugs resistant to all antibiotics and the dwindling interest in developing new drugs to combat them.

Reports are increasing across Europe of patients with infections that are nearly impossible to treat.

The European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) said yesterday that in some countries up to 50 per cent of cases of blood poisoning caused by one bug – K. pneumoniae, a common cause of urinary and respiratory conditions – were resistant to carbapenems, the most powerful class of antibiotics.

Across Europe, the percentage of carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae has doubled from 7 per cent to 15 per cent. The ECDC said it is "particularly worrying" because carbapenems are the last-line antibiotics for treatment of multi-drug-resistant infections.

Marc Sprenger, the director, said: "The situation is critical. We need to declare a war against these bacteria."

Resistant strains of E.coli also increased in 2010. Between 25 and 50 per cent of E.coli infections in Italy and Spain were resistant to fluoroquinolones in 2010, one of the most important antibiotics for treating the bacterium.

An estimated 25,000 people die each year in the European Union from antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections.

World Health Organisation scientists warned two years ago that overuse of antibiotics risked returning the world to a pre-antibiotic era in which infections did not respond to treatment. The warnings have been ignored.

3. Rumors of war and the coming wars in the Middle East:

Report: Israel to employ high-tech weapons in Iran strike

Current and former US intelligence officials estimate that any Israeli attack on nuclear sites in Iran would go far beyond airstrikes from F-15 and F-16 fighter jets and likely include electronic warfare against the Islamic Republic's electric grid, Internet, cell phone network, and emergency frequencies for firemen and police officers.

Israel has been assembling a multibillion-dollar array of high-tech weapons that would allow it to jam, blind, and deafen Tehran's defenses in the case of a pre-emptive aerial strike.

According to the officials, one of the weapons Israel has developed is capable of mimicking a maintenance cell phone signal that commands a cell network to “sleep,” effectively stopping transmissions.

The Israelis also have jammers capable of creating interference within Iran’s emergency frequencies for first responders, they told the Daily Beast.

One source told the Daily Beast that Israel has the capability to bring a denial-of-service attack to nodes of Iran’s command and control system that rely on the Internet.

According to the report, the likely delivery method for the electronic elements of this attack would be a drone the size of a jumbo jet.

The Daily Beast said Israel had already employed some of the technology at its disposal during its alleged aerial attack on a Syrian nuclear reactor in 2007.

Report: Arab Nations Pressing for Iran Strike

Newly acquired intelligence reports indicate several Arab countries in the Middle East are lobbying the US to strike Iran this year, Israel's Channel 10 reported.

According to the report, which is said to be making its rounds in Britain's political circles, Saudi Arabia wants the Obama administration to attack Iran's nuclear facilities before the final withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.

Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies have been locked in a strategic battle with Iran for hegemony over the Persian Gulf - and have accused Tehran of seeking to destabilize the region through its ‘Shiite Diaspora.’

Gulf Arab leaders have sought to exert pressure on Iran and its regional allies - most notably Syrian president Bashar al-Assad - by allying themselves with Western powers opposed to Tehran's aggressive posture.

They have also joined western powers in targeting Iran's nuclear program, which they see as targeting them first and foremost - rather than Israel, who Iran has threatened repeatedly with destruction.

Report: Russia warships to enter Syria waters in bid to stem foreign intervention

Russian warships are due to arrive at Syrian territorial waters, a Syrian news agency said on Thursday, indicating that the move represented a clear message to the West that Moscow would resist any foreign intervention in the country's civil unrest.

The move comes as clashes escalated in Syria and after Russia and China used their veto in October to block a Security Council resolution that would have condemned the Syrian government of President Bashir for the violence.

One morning of news - just look at the signs that surround us.

The world is rapidly approaching the Tribulation and the end of this age. This is a fact that is undeniable to a prophecy watcher. It isn't even debatable. Biblical prophecy gave us a vast array of 'signs' to watch for, and they are all in abundance. Not only that, but we see evidence of this on a daily basis now - in mass.

What is also striking about the signs is the fact that every sign that we watch, whether its the Middle East, Israel, the coming wars, the EU, the world economy, pestilence, earthquakes, famine, persecution, a coming world financial system, the loss of national sovereignty, the rumors of war, the rise of the Gog-MaGog alliance, the rise of the "Kings of the East", the growth of technology and travel in this generation, the opening of the prophetic scrolls, the fact that Israel is surrounded by her enemies exactly as expected, world-wide persecution, etc....

All of these signs are not only present - on a daily basis - but they are all progressing rapidly in the exact manner that we would expect from biblical prophecy.

Sometimes its good to take a step back and marvel at the extreme accuracy and predictability of biblical prophecy and at the same time, marvel at an omniscient God. A God who gave us these prophetic scriptures for a reason.
