"IT CAN'T BE MUCH LONGER"

I had that title in caps by accident, but then, after further reflection, it seems appropriate.

The Golden Report had this headline. If you are not familiar with Jerry Golden, here is a brief profile: The Golden Report. This is worth bookmarking as his reports are typically very interesting.

Today's post speaks to many of us, as we scratch our heads and wonder how much longer the lid can be kept on this powder keg also known as the Middle East.

It Can't Be Much Longer

One thing is certain. The view of possible war in the Middle East looks very different for those of us sitting here in Israel than it does for those watching from elsewhere. Ahmadinejad's upcoming visit to Lebanon next week has caused quite a stir in Israel. One thing we do know is that the south of Lebanon is nearly covered with Iranian flags to welcome Ahmadinejad. That's not a good sign.

We are also being informed that he has ordered Hezbollah to take over the Lebanese government [much as Hamas did in Gaza], once he has departed Lebanon. But the last attack from the Lebanon border was by Lebanese soldiers, not Hezbollah, and they killed one of our officers and wounded others. It is no surprise to us that Lebanon has, for all intents and purposes, already been taken over by Hezbollah. It is also well known that the Lebanese Army has been heavily infiltrated by Hezbollah and recruitment goes on daily in the military ranks.

Additionally, Syria has signed a pact with Iran agreeing to go to war if either country is attacked by Israel and they have made it known that it is them who are behind the takeover of Lebanon by Hezbollah.

I am aware that I am simplifying the situation somewhat so that it may be more easily understood. Nevertheless, I will say this the fire keeps getting hotter and the war drums are beating louder. However, that is a component of terrorism isn't it?

We keep believing that war could begin any day now, yet somehow it doesn't. Don't misunderstand me. It will, and soon. And the world will be greatly changed as a result. The economy, communications, and global politics will change in such a way that for the average citizen it will be 'survival' only which will occupy their minds. Those who feel they can pull all things together again believing themselves to be god's will simply be setting the stage for the rise of antichrist and his 'Mark'.

No one can tell you how to prepare for that which is rapidly coming toward us. The one thing that seems to make sense is for you to do your very best to at least survive the first few months if at all possible. That will give you time to rationalise things and to regain your bearings. There are several articles on the front page of my website that you may find helpful; www.thegoldenreport.com

Oh sure, I know how this sounds more gloom and doom. Yet let me tell you something. It is not to my benefit that I tell you this, because once this war starts we will lose contact anyway. If all I was concerned with was trying to get you to support our efforts to save Jewish lives, I could come up with a much cleverer scenario. The truth however, is that your life and welfare are very important to us because you are our family in Yeshua!

For those who are believers in Yeshua (Jesus) there is no need to tell them of the importance of supporting Israel and blessing the "apple of God's eye". It all comes down to two possibilities. You can try to survive by relying on your own abilities, or you can do it God's way? Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. explains that very clearly.

We are, at the moment, in the "valley of decision" in many ways. It is now time to place all our priorities in their proper position. As for me and my family, we have made our decision, and now depend entirely upon God.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.

It is interesting to read someone's view who is living there and experiencing these things day to day. it is also interesting to read of the significance of Ahmadinejad's visit to southern Lebanon. Although the western press downplays this situation, to those is Israel, it is highly significant.

Next week could prove to be significant. We'll be watching very closely.

I truly believe life as we know it will CHANGE when this war in the ME begins. Even though it is on the other side of the world...it will greatly impact us. What I believe will hurt us first, is the increase in the price of gas. Just think of those that travel a distance to their job. Or those that their job IS traveling. Like truck drivers. Our food that is brought to the stores by these trucks, will begin to sky rocket as the price of gas goes up. We already see groceries increasing in price. And, the items decreasing in size.

To change the topic...any ideas what will happen to the USA? What will be the reason that changes us from the powerful nation that is the greatest of all? Something has to deminish our stand that we have held for a few hundred yrs above any other nation. So, what will be the reason that we are not written as a nation in the last days? Something horrific has to happen to us. And, it must be soon with all the signs of the tribulation at hand. This concerns me.

But, we as God's Children MUST trust in our Heavenly Father to take care of us. We must remember that we are NOT appointed to wrath. On the other hand...how can we say that to those in many countries around the world that are being persecuted and torgered for being a Christian. Isn't that wrath? Just not God's wrath. So, if and when will we begin to feel that wrath they are going thru every day of their lives.

The time is going to get weary and scarey as the drums beats faster and louder. I so hope God the Father will send His Son JESUS to come and take us all to our Heavenly Home....LIKE NOW!! We are; and will be whimps in the states if not. God has blest and shielded us from the dangers that many Christians has had to live with for countless years.

Scott, any ideas or scenerios on the future of America/Americans?

God help us all.

Several thoughts.

The US could simply get swallowed up in the EU expansion into the 10 Kings phase (would the NAU be one of the 10 kings? I believe that would be a distinct possibility, assuming the 10 kings are 10 world unions.

I can also see a scenario in which the Rapture affects the US much more than most nations and that severely weakens the US - especially soon after the carnage associated with the Rapture (ie, would the rapture provide the stimulus for Gog-MaGog?).

As mentioned before - I have always believed that the Rapture will occur just before some kind of carnage (terrorism? Natural disaster?) - because of the references that the Bible gives us relating to S&G and Lot and Noah and the ark...Just a hunch...Plus it could quite possibly obscure the Rapture (assuming the UFO story doesn't kick in) - for instance is nuclear terrorism were to hit major US cities just after the Rapture, then the Rapture ("some missing Christians, who probably headed for the hills") could be reduced to a footnote on page 4 of the news.

You mentioned correctly, that the "Wrath" that we Christians will not face is God's wrath. What people are facing today, as for ~ 2,000 years is man's persecution, which is one of the signs that we see.

There are no guarantees that we will or will not have to face man's persecution - I believe thats more "random" and a matter of luck (where you live, etc) -

We'll see....or not....:)
