Rocket fire, IDF reprisals persist into the night; Hamas says 20 killed in attacks; Tel Aviv and surrounding cities open shelters after over 150 projectiles fired from Strip

A Hamas spokesman says the terror group is suspending plans for a large-scale attack as Israel has withdrawn its forces from the Temple Mount compound.

Hamas had given Israel until 2 a.m to do so.

It was the second ultimatum delivered by Hamas. After the first, they fired 6 rockets at Jerusalem, prompting a harsh response from the IDF.

There is no immediate confirmation from Israel that police have left the compound, or if it was in response to the Hamas demands.

Rocket fire continues to target Israeli communities near the Strip.

Palestinians say more than 700 hurt in West Bank, Jerusalem clashes

The Palestinian Red Crescent says that more than 700 Palestinians were hurt in clashes with Israeli security forces in Jerusalem and across the West Bank, including nearly 500 who were treated at hospitals.

It says more than 600 of the wounded were in Jerusalem alone.

Israeli police say 32 officers were injured.
