Signs of the Times: Headlines Tell the Story

We have so many signs of this last generation - signs that are in the news daily - sometimes we become desensitized. The prophetic signs of this last generation - the generation that will see the conclusion of this age, including the Tribulation and the Second Coming of Jesus - are abundant.

In one day of news:

EARTHQUAKES:

I have noticed that earthquake news usually receive very little in terms of comments or discussion, but this generation is unprecedented in terms of the number of quakes and the severity of quakes, and earthquakes in "diverse places" was just as important as the other signs we watch.

Take a look at these two 'snapshots' of worldwide quakes just today and note the diversity in location and the sheer number of quakes:

And these news stories:

PERSECUTION:

WARS AND RUMORS OF WAR

THE DECLINE OF THE U.S. - Preparations for a world government

All NATIONS ALIGNED AGAINST ISRAEL

By looking at the above headlines, keep in mind, this is a single day of news and the links above were done 'at a glance'. A more detailed probe of today's news would have been far more comprehensive.

If such news were reviewed over the period of a week, the volume would be prohibitively high to read in one sitting. In fact, on a daily basis, I usually have to delete many articles simply due to volume.

We are immersed in signs every day - they are abundant and easy to find. Jesus informed us of these signs and He intended for us to see these signs.

And what did Jesus say - what instructions did He offer when we see these signs?

"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near"
(Luke 21:28)

"Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near"
(Luke 21:31)

This is simple logic.

We are not only immersed in the signs, but these "generational signs" began in the WWI era, and we are therefore approaching the very end of this generation.

Therefore, the obvious conclusion is the fact that Jesus will be returning very soon.

The Apostle Paul also gave instructions for us in these last days:

"...to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead - Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath"
(1 Thessalonians 1:10)

And from Jesus Himself:

"Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world..."
(Revelation 3:10)

He will come for His church first:

"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

"Therefore encourage each other with these words"
(1 Thessalonians 4:18)

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing"
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)

The logic here is pretty simple isn't it?

1) We are in "that generation" and an analytical view of the 'data' makes that point abundantly clear.

2) We are approaching the very last days of this generation.

3) We are very close to the beginning of the Tribulation - all signs point to that.

4) Therefore, the logical conclusion is that Jesus will be coming very soon for His Bride, the Church.

Maranatha! Our Lord Comes!

Wheeeee Dogggie!

This rubber band of "birth pains" are getting stretched pretty tight...can't ya just see it...let your imagination roll for a second.

In the beginning, the Lord wound up all the events to the tension that they would all finish winding down at just about, if not exactly, the same time.

Its taken 6000 +/- years, but they are all just about down to the "zero" or "alarm" mark...

If they all let go at just about the same time....
Wars & rumors of war
Earthquakes
Famine
Pestilence
OWG
Human leadership depravity
Weather

Just Wow! thinking about it....it sure seems like that's what's happening.

Thank You Father and Lord Jesus! Thank You for a way out. I don't wanna be here when that rubber band snaps or the spring winds all the way down.

Keep looking up....and drag anyone you can reach with you.

Dear All:
I'm a little confused. I thought that Israel won't be attacked until the Ant-Christ appears...after the seven year period...armageddon?

Thank you scott..Love those scriptures that are meant to encourage each of us as believers. I take so much comfort in them. We are so blessed to be in this generation to see the last days. I am almost 50, and I hope I am alive when we meet the Lord in the air.

I take a look at the earthquake monitor daily. That is something I have done since I discovered this little treasure of a blog.

I am praying for the lost, for myself to be bold in telling others the Gospel. The simple pure , beautiful truth of the Gospel. So many people try to complicate it, and that is where they mess up. Its simple..believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior, our Lord. Believe with your heart that He paid the price for my sins, your sins, everyones. The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is everlasting life to all who believe. He died for us, buried, and God raised him back to life, ressurected our Lord 3 days later. He is ALIVE..alive and sitting at the right hand of God. Waiting for the fullness of the Gentiles to come..the last believer to complete the body of Christ..Then we shall see our Lord. Praise God forever..
God Bless you!

"Panetta Believes Israel Will Attack Iran This Spring"

"US secretary of defense is concerned Israel will launch an attack before Iran enters so-called "immunity zone" when military strike won't bust Iran's nuclear facilities, 'Washington Post' reports."

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu doesn’t want to leave the fate of Israel dependent on American action,” Ignatius wrote. According to the report, Israel’s strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities could last five days which would be followed by a United Nations-brokered ceasefire."

AND THIS...

"Barak: Iran's Nuclear Program Nearing "immunity zone" "

"Defense minister warns that Iranian nuclear facilities will soon be too heavily fortified for military action to succeed; says sanctions cannot be called successful until they stop Tehran's nuclear progress."

WRT pestilence did you see in the UK? A pneumonia based flesh eating virus getting around by coughing and touching. This thing can stay alive on skin for a period of time.

Frightening stuff! I'm wondering if this is a lab creation; a tool to aid in the depopulation of earth.

2 Timothy 3
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.

Hello all. I came across this scripture today by chance and was really taken at how well it describes the times we live in. It really brings home, at least for me, that we are truly living in the last days.

I pray for all those reading this blog and elsewhere who are not yet saved that the Lord will open your hearts to His word and that you'll accept salvation through Jesus.

God bless.

Wow, what a day! Thank you, Scott!

I have to think this could be big, too:

"Israel scores rare victory at UN

For the first time, Israel assumes seat on exec board of United Nations Development Program."

Israel would not commit to giving the US more than 12 hours notice if they decide to hit Iran.

Why is the US "outing" their subsequent Top Secret meeting in DC?

Why is the US giving these time lines?

Anybody else smell something?

Most definitely Caver....

Talk about all the signs coming together. This hits the nail on the head. The one that struck me was the Vanderbilt situation. That would be like telling a Republican Club that they have to open up their leadership to Democrats and vice versa. These days it's all about political correctness and inclusiveness even if it means compromising our beliefs and principles;but God is not up in heaven saying lets make a deal. He's up there saying THIS IS THE DEAL; and if we stay true to his Word, He'll have a glorious future waiting for us.

And yet, UNCERTAINTY still reigns
in the current picture, according to EWI.....

Dow down 11......very small change.

We may still RALLY above 12, 876
and that is WHAT concerns me.

AT SOME POINT, Bull or Bear will
take the upper hand of control.
BUT I cannot say when.

There is one thing that Scott mentioned that disturbs me.....
ie.....that ISRAEL will not tolerate the TRANSFER of advanced
weapons to Hezballoh.

I have been watching Israel since
OCT 1973, and I would think this
is SERIOUS. In fact, it is a red line that even OBAMA will not be
able to stop.

This could BE the spark that starts the fire.

we will see.

ONE THING IS CERTAIN.....there is
alot of SPECULATION continuing
in the Nasdaq with the dow going
sideways....

that is DISTURBING to say the
least.

Stay tuned

@Gary, I believe you're referring to zachariah 14, right? That happens at the end/after the tribulation. If you read Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39, it seems that they happen before the tribulation. Mrs. C could explain it better than I can, but youre right, Israel does get attacked at the end of the tribulation, but not only at the end of the tribulation.

The whole ME is a tinder box, but after seeing the article on the possibility of Syria transferring weapons to Hez is surely just a match ready to set things off, could this be the start of Isaiah 17.1 ?

Sterling work again on the blog

Let's all keep praying for the lost to find their father !!

I've read all the comments but no one said how hard life has become for the Christian man or woman. I long for the day when my family and myself will be caught up in the clouds with Jesus. This life is really too hard. I think that the Tribulation period is also experienced in a Christian's personal life too.
Am I alone on this thought and fact?
