In the news:

Things are definitely heating up on the Gaza border:

IDF Strikes Targets In Gaza After Rockets Hit South

Tensions continued to escalate in the South early Friday morning with the Israel Air Force making two separate forays into the Gaza Strip to bomb terror targets in response to the firing of Kassam rockets into Israeli communities.

At around 1 a.m., Israeli aircraft struck a terror cell attempting to fire rockets after two projectiles had already landed in open fields in the Eshkol and Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Councils.

On Saturday night, the Israel Air Force bombed a number of targets in the Strip in response to the firing of a number of Grad-model Katyusha rockets into Israel. One landed in Beersheba on Saturday. In another attack, an RPG was fired at an IDF patrol along the border with Gaza.

The continued rocket attacks have prompted some within the IDF's Southern Command to call for a large-scale operation to root out terror infrastructure within Gaza.

Air Force planes took out two terror targets in northern Gaza early on Friday morning. The nighttime mission took place in response to increasingly frequent rocket attacks on civilian communities in southern Israel.

IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz warned last week that it is only “a matter of time”before the IDF will need to re-enter Gaza to deal with rising terror levels. For the past three years the IDF has limited itself to pinpoint responses to attacks, however, Hamas continues to slowly escalate attacks in an apparent attempt to drag Israel into a confrontation that will win it media sympathy.

Muslim Worshippers, Israeli Police Clash At Temple Mount

Hundreds of Muslim worshippers clashed with police on Friday at Jerusalem's Temple Mount.

Following Friday prayers, hundreds of worshippers began hurling rocks at the Mughrabi Bridge at the entrance to the Temple Mount, which prompted Israeli police forces to enter the plaza and attempt to scatter the protest.

Israeli police said that dozens of protesters gathered inside the Al-Aqsa mosque after hurling rocks at security forces, who, in a rare move, came to the entrance of the mosque and used stun grenades to scatter the protesters.

Several policemen were lightly wounded as a result of the rocks.

In light of several violent incidents that occurred at the Temple Mount this week, there was heightened police presence on Friday morning.

If Israel Strikes Iran, It'll Be Because Of Obama

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dealt primarily with three things over the past three years: Iran, Iran, and Iran.

In the first instance, Netanyahu was busy making sure Iran was on top of the international agenda. While our prime minister won't say so out loud, he is deeply scornful of his predecessors for spending so much time on the Palestinian issue while neglecting the Iranian issue.

In the second instance, Netanyahu made sure that the Iranian threat would top the national agenda. Ten years ago we were still arguing about peace. Five years ago we were arguing about dividing the land - about a permanent settlement, an interim settlement, disengagement, convergence, and the like.

But today the only diplomatic-security issue that people talk about at their Friday night get-togethers is the Iranian issue. Nothing good is happening in the Middle East. As long as the shadow of the Shi'ite bomb casts a pall over all of us, there won't be any diplomatic breakthrough.

In the third instance, Netanyahu was busy building up Israel's abilities to face the Iranian threat. Netanyahu thinks that until he took office, Israel hadn't been preparing properly to confront Iran's cement-lined bunkers.

A few years ago Netanyahu held an in-depth discussion with Middle East expert Bernard Lewis. At the end of the talk he was convinced that if the ayatollahs obtained nuclear weapons, they would use them. Since that day, Netanyahu seems convinced that we are living out a rerun of the 1930s.

The Netanyahu-Obama meeting in two weeks will be definitive. If the U.S. president wants to prevent a disaster, he must give Netanyahu iron-clad guarantees that the United States will stop Iran in any way necessary and at any price, after the 2012 elections. If Obama doesn't do this, he will obligate Netanyahu to act before the 2012 elections.

The video below is most definitely worth watching; the globalist agenda is discussed and the conclusions are very accurate and honest - something sorely lacking in the MSM these days:

Scott , thanks for this blog! I find it amazing that all of this daily news is not "in the news'.

Currently reading a book by Tim Lahaye.."Rev. Unveiled" written in 1999 (updated version) . He says that the 144,000 in Rev. 7:1-9 is different than the 144,000 mentioned in Rev. 14:1-5. I know you don't have a lot of time to spare, but do you have any thoughts on this?

Good grief already...surely Bibi would not trust Obama on this critical issue? Obama will say whatever is necessary to keep the ME from blowing up before the elections and afterwards he is a lame duck that can and will do anything he wants.

Anon - I don't believe I have that book (I may, but I need to dig around a bit to see) - can you quote what he says or paraphrase? - that would help some with context etc. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can find that book !

And on it goes, stocks refuse to come down. Nasdaq at NEW HIGHS yet
again, dow down LESS then 2 pts.

As I have said MANY TIMES, as long as this market's DESTINY is to go UP, the END will NOT come.

patience is required.

This market seems to catch BIDS
every time it goes down just a LITTLE !!!

That action is bullish, sad to say.

Well he says Rev.7 group is Jewish, from earth sealed with the Father's seal. Rev. 14 group has name of both Father and Son, and group in chapter 14 is in heaven halfway through the Tribulation. He say's Chapter 7 , are servant's of God, and the ones of Chapter 14 are purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. That this indicated that their selection was not for the propagation of the gospel on earth during the tribulation, but fora special position at the throne of God before Him and The Lord Jesus.

Of course he says alot more on the subject. But I had never heard this take on the 144,000 before.

Thanks for looking into it and giving me your thoughts when you get a chance.

I got this particular book from the Library.
Thanks again!

WV, am contemplating exactly the same thing.

First thought, how ironic. For 2 1/2 years Obama did everything possible to humiliate, put down, and degrade Bibi. Ain't it interesting how the tables have turned. Masterful!

The way we're reading the scriptures round here abouts.....We just don't see anyone helping Israel in either Isiah 17 or Ezekiel. Nobody! God has to help, start turning His head back to His people at the end of Isiah. Those that believe will be able to see His hand but the unbelievers won't.

Then in Ezekiel it will be all God. Israel won't have anything left and no one to help. Least that's the way we read it. God will get ALL the glory.

But, WV is absolutely correct.....Bibi would be a fool to believe or trust Obama. And he is a lot of things, but a fool ain't one of them.

No, personally I believe it's going down well before then. Maybe in the Sept/Oct time frame and maybe earlier. Iran taking things "deep" may well have changed the schedule completely.

Interesting times.

Scott. are you deleting my postings again ?? If it makes you
happy, then do it.

BOTTOM LINE >>>>>

STOCKS are still going up....

and if u want to argue against that,
go ahead, I AM DEAD SERIOUS about
what I say, there will be NO rapture, and NO END as long as this market is in bull mode.

Think what you want, BUT I have
been very CORRECT since 3/4 OCT
2011, is that correct ??

Correct in the sense that AS LONG
AS stocks are DESTINED to be bulled, the END will NOT come.

Has it come yet >> ?? Tell me,
has it ?? you know the answer.
PLEASE BE HONEST ABOUT THAT.

I haven't deleted any posts for quite a while. Maybe something went into spam - I'll give that a check when I get a chance.

OIC, I saw Caver's post BUT not mine, I thought you were upset
with me again....

I want you to know something.
My grandmother died in JUNE 1987
waiting for the rapture, and thinking about that makes me sick.

So I BET you can understand why I
am SKEPTICAL about the words soon
and imminent.....

I would be MORE WILLING TO accept
if I had PROOF that stocks are
serious about crashing.

which they are NOT at this time.

The fact that she died before the rapture doesn't invalidate the vast array of scriptures which point to imminence. The two occurrences (your Grandmothers death and the imminence of the Rapture) are mutually exclusive, unrelated events.

Scott said...

The apostle Paul also died looking for the rapture.

The signs reveal to us that we are nearing the Tribulation - and we know that the Rapture will come before the Tribulation. Additionally, we are nearing the end of this generation. Those two facts tell us that the rapture will be "soon". And the Rapture has been "imminent" for 2,000 years.

Anonymous said...

OK, I am not mad at u, I just want
to understand why this EVENT can be
imminent for 2,000 years ?? I mean,
that is a LONG LONG TIME, Scott...

My definition of imminent is like,
it could be like in the next 24 hours or something along those lines.

please elaborate >>>>

thanks

Caver you just gave another good reason IMO why the church is gone for Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38..."they are all alone with no one to help them", I just can't see the USA not helping as long as we are still here. We would put extreme pressure on Obama to come to their aid...once we are gone there is no HS and no church to influence for good and right.

Stephen...Jesus is comning back as a thief in the night and as in the days of Noah and both indicate the element of suprise and business as usual..so my conclusion is the stock market and the general climate with be superficially good but perched on the cliff of the abyss. I read an article today that indicated our actual debt (America) was not 15 trillion but well over 138 trillion (addding in medicare and SS obligations) and 911% of GDP as I recall

Scott said...

Imminent means that it is something that can happen at any time - there are no preceding events that have to take place first. It may be "soon" or it may not be soon.

Imminent

If we weren't unequivocally in this last generation and very close to the generation, I wouldn't be saying "soon" - I would only be saying "imminent"....

For instance, if we were living in the 1700's, I would be saying that the Rapture is imminent, but I wouldn't also be saying that it is "soon".

Because of where we are in this generation of birth pains (aka "signs"), I am adding "soon" to imminence.
