Death toll in Beit Shemesh missile impact rises to 9



The death toll of the Iranian ballistic missile impact in Beit Shemesh rises to nine, after first responders say they extracted another body from under the rubble.

The missile struck a residential area in the city, destroying a synagogue and causing extensive damage to a public bomb shelter and surrounding homes.

Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg says that there are 20 residents that have not been able to be reached. He stresses that “it does not necessarily mean anything happened to them.”

“It could very well be that we’re not finding them, but we are doing everything we can,” he tells reporters at the site of the missile strike.
