Amazing Revival Breaks Out At Ashbury University - Ongoing 24 Hour Worship

Revival Breaks Out At Asbury University, Chapel Service Has Been Ongoing For Several Days

A chapel service that began last Wednesday at Asbury University in Kentucky is still ongoing after over 7 days.

Thousands of people have been in and out of Asbury Universities’ auditorium to receive a fresh touch from God.

Lexington 18 News reported “There’s been a lot of people receiving a lot of healing and restoration in their lives and people coming to Christ for the first time and hearing the gospel for the first time.”

The chapel service began last week and didn’t end on the regular scheduled time due to 30 students deciding to stay in the auditorium to seek God.

Those students never left and continued to sing and pray until the next day.

Since then, the church service has been ongoing non-stop.

Here are some scenes of the services:

Tomorrow will begin a seventh day of this days-long revival service at Asbury University. Students say they didn’t expect or plan for this to happen. People have come from all over the country to be part of this. #WKYT

The revival has disrupted life and brought national attention to Asbury, an evangelical Christian school in Wilmore, Kentucky, about a half-hour outside of Lexington. Videos of students singing, weeping and praying have been posted on social media, leading to both criticism and praise from onlookers. News of the revival has also drawn students and other visitors to the campus to take part in the ongoing prayer and worship.

“We’ve been here in Hughes Auditorium for over a hundred hours — praying, crying, worshipping and uniting — because of Love,” wrote Alexandra Presta, editor of The Asbury Collegian, the school’s student newspaper, who has been chronicling the services on campus. “We’ve even expanded into Estes Chapel across the street at Asbury Theological Seminary and beyond. I can proclaim that Love boldly because God is Love.”

Students from the University of Kentucky, Purdue University, Indian Wesleyan and other nearby school are all flocking to Asbury to witness the revival.

A medical doctor friend of mine graduated from Asbury as an undergraduate and he tells of a similar revival that occured there back I believe in te early 1970's. Pretty good for a Methodist school. :)
