Sunday: In The News

This video is a must see. The content is so very typical of the various conversations I have had over the years with 'evolutionists'. I get particularly interested when I hear comedians or actors talk about 'science' when they may or may not have had a high-school biology class as the extent of their 'scientific knowledge'. The mindless mantras that some people spit out without really any deep thought involved is also always of interest and Ray Comfort exposes the same thing.

Evolution Vs. God

Documentaries, especially those quoting renowned scientists talking about their specialties, often are dull. So how is this “Evolution vs. God” project by Christian evangelist Ray Comfort raising so much ruckus?
Perhaps it’s because the evolutionary experts themselves are unable to provide scientific evidence to support the theory to which they have devoted their lives.
“‘Evolution vs. God’ shows that there’s no evidence for Darwinian evolution – that it rests on nothing but blind faith,” he said. “So they are hoping to find some ‘silver bullet’ in what wasn’t used that will discredit the movie. They know that millions are going to end up seeing evolutionary scientists from USC and UCLA gasping like fish out of water, as they try to think of scientific evidence for Darwinian evolution.”

Very simply, the film gives scientists the chance to talk about the evidence for evolution.
Comfort explained: “I went to the experts with a camera and asked evolutionary scientists for scientific proof for Darwinian evolution, and the silence was deafening. They didn’t have any, and the reason that they didn’t have any is because there isn’t any. If you don’t believe it, watch the movie. If you are a believer in evolution, prepare to have your faith shaken.”

Personally, the debate is of great interest for the reasons stated in this video. Evolution is a matter of faith not fact. Period. My questions for the evolutionist:

- How was the first cell formed? (and please don't cite the Miller 'experiment')

- What formed the first DNA?

- Why can't scientists form a cell, spontaneously, even though all components of a cell can be placed in a favorable medium?

- Why did almost all fossil life appear at one time? (Cambrian explosion)

- Where is there evidence of the necessary 'interim species' that would be necessary for Darwinism?

Just for starters.

Interestingly, i can recall attending a debate between a Christian pastor and an atheist. Once the time came to take questions from the audience, I stood and asked the atheist if he could explain how the first cell came together, in scientific terms, and how the first DNA was formed, based on his view of 'science'...After a long pause, the best answer I received was "well, I don't know, but the scientists at Duke know this". After being shocked at the lack of preparation (I mean, you are going in front of a large audience  and this is your preparation?) - I then realized, there is simply no answer for the evolution mantra. Evolution requires faith, yet there is the 'pretend world' where the mantra is "evolution is science'. Nothing could be further from the truth.

More news:

Israel’s housing minister has given final approval for the construction of 1,187 new housing units in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, just three days before Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are set to resume in Jerusalem.

Housing and Construction Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) announced Sunday that 793 new apartments would be built in Jerusalem, and 394 in large settlement blocs in the West Bank.

“No country in the world takes orders from other countries where it can build and where it can’t,” Ariel said in his statement. “We will continue to market the homes, and to build in the entire country… This is the right thing at the present time, for Zionism and for the economy.”

Four hundred new units are set to be built in the Gilo neighborhood, 210 in Har Homa, and 183 in Pisgat Zeev neighborhoods of Jerusalem. In the West Bank, Efrat would receive 149 new apartments, Ariel 117, Maaleh Adumim 92, and Beitar 36.
The announcement of the new construction is an apparent tradeoff for Israel agreeing to release 104 long-held Palestinian prisoners in four installments over several months, with the first group of 26 to be freed Tuesday. A ministerial committee was set to convene on Sunday to identify those to be released first.

The criminal trial for two men who were arrested for reading the Bible aloud outside of a California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office began on Monday.
The incident occurred in February 2011 when Pastor Brett Coronado, Mark Mackey and Edward Florez, Jr. went to the DMV in Hemet early one morning to evangelize those who were waiting for the facility to open. As they stood in the publicly-owned parking lot, approximately 40 feet from the entrance, Mackey began to read out loud from the Bible.

However, soon after, he was approached by a security officer at the DMV, who asked him to move elsewhere. The men then asserted that they had a First Amendment right to engage in their activities, and Mackey continued to read from the Scriptures.
Approximately 10 minutes later, California patrol officer Darrin Meyer arrived on the scene, grabbed Mackey’s Bible, and put him in handcuffs. He informed the men that they could not “preach to a captive audience.”

Loved that video, Scott! Très cool! Hope it really gets some people thinking about what they base their eternal futures on! :)

Exactly...Of course, if you are an atheist, you have no choice but to believe in evolution, regardless of how much faith is required :)

Have to give credit to Ray Comfort with his new film,

180 movie was brilliant,
Genius was brilliant,
And this was brilliant..

Just goes to show people would rather believe a lie than believe the truth...

David - I agree; and that is one of the most perplexing things about this generation. I will never understand it. I honestly believe that deep down they intuitively know the truth - which may explain their denial, their anger, their hatred of Christians, and refusal to accept the truth. Just my 2 cents.
