U.S. Slams Israel Over East Jerusalem

The U.S. actions towards Israel are becoming more and more concerning. We already know the Genesis 12:3 scripture in which God declared that He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who oppose Israel. We also know from Zechariah 12:3 that those who try to move or divide Jerusalem will be severely harmed ("injure themselves").

Germany and the three other West European members of the U.N. Security Council are preparing a statement condemning Israel’s latest settlement plans in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, two European diplomatic officials said Tuesday.
Meanwhile the United States slammed Israel for continuing to announce new settlement construction on land claimed by the Palestinians in an unusually rare and blunt criticism of its top Mideast ally.

The State Department accused Israel on Tuesday of engaging in a “pattern of provocative action” that runs counter to statements from Israeli leaders that they are committed to peace. Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said settlement activity only puts the goal of peace “further at risk.” She urged both Israel and the Palestinians to halt all provocations and take steps to revive long-stalled peace talks.
Permanent council members Britain and France plus Germany and Portugal — who are wrapping up two-year terms — are concerned that such settlements could threaten a possible two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, the officials said. Details of the statement are being finalized in New York, the diplomats said on condition of anonymity because the work was not yet completed.

The European Union, Israel’s biggest trading partner, has been increasingly vocal in its criticism of new settlements just as Israel is gearing up for general elections next month. In an unprecedented move, a string of European governments summoned their local Israeli ambassadors to lodge protests following the Israeli settlement announcements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been unshaken by the criticism, and on Tuesday he vowed to continue building in east Jerusalem. “Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the state of Israel, and we will continue to build there. A united Jerusalem expresses a wide national agreement,” he said in the northern Israeli town of Acre.

I was so happy my daughter was coming home from Seattle! But already we have had 3 fights over Israel. Which basically means means....i support Israel and she is super pro palestine. Thats right guys...3 fights in one day :'(
And I'm not even fighting. Realky have to bite my r tongue. And the name of Jesus just makes her sooooo angry.
What happened to raise them right and they will not depart from the faith?
Mrs. C., hope this doesn't make you upset. But if satan has nuts, and I get half the chance, I an going to kick him in the groin so hard his musical voice is going to hit a note so high no creature has the ability to hear it!!!!
Yep, im getting tired and I WANT TO GO HOME!
Certainly would beat the stress of trying to find a place for my daughter and moving all my belongings in the next 2 weeks.
No matter how I FEEL, I KNOW GOD WILL SUSTAIN ME! And who could ask for anything more?
Maranatha!

I'll say a prayer for you and your daughter. I have family that are hostile to Jesus and are completely set on remaining that way. It hurts.

I laugh at the condemnation of Israel and their new construction. The Palestinian state is going to be what? 3 miles by 3 miles? The new anti-Israel secretary of defense, and soon a new secretary of state, that Will probably be anti Israel as well. Things continue to align into an interesting path that leads to destruction.

I have been reading this site the past couple of months. I went to southern Baptist church as a teen on my own. Got away from thev church and God. Married a Methodist. He is not strong in his faith. We have a daughter who as a teen found faith as is stronger and more faithful than I have ever been. She is now a senior in college and co-leads campus crusade. I can only hope her and her friends are the generation to bring more to Christ.
I personally need help in understanding where the hate for Israel comes from? Can someone explain where is has been created? From what I observe those who are anti-Israel support gay marriage and other'diverse ' thoughts. Not sure why they can't see the evil of Muslim countries and see Isreal as the country who treat their women and Gay folks like we do in USA..., I think there is evil in the blindness - prayers to all!

Hey Marilyn. That's a good question. I really don't know why so many Americans are against Israel. Other countries, that's probably because they are mostly Muslim. Palestine wants to be a state so bad that they are willing to do anything to get it. Only thing standing in their way is Israel. So they want to eliminate Israel all together. Another reason could be that its prophecy. Israel will be surrounded by her enemies. Pretty much all of Israels neighboring countries hate them. In the end times that is the way it is to be. My opinion, that time is now. Why so many Americans are against them is unclear. Could be that the unsaved are the one s against them, because of our leaders, who knows for sure. One thing is certain, God is sovereign. Nothing takes him by surprise.
