U.S. - Israeli Divide Grows: Netanyahu Refuses To See U.S. Official

This development was inevitable:

The rupture between the US and Israel over Iran’s nuclear program widened further Friday, May 25 when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided not to be available to hear the briefing brought to Jerusalem from Baghdad by Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman who headed the US delegation to the Six Power talks.

The report she delivered to National Security Adviser Yaakov Amidror and Foreign Ministry Director-General Rafi Barak was that no progress had been achieved in Baghdad due to Iran’s refusal to budge on its “right” to enrich uranium at low (3.5-5 percent) or high (20 percent) levels or shut down the Fordo nuclear plant near Qom.
As if this charade weren't 100% predictable. Israel has known all along that Iran would simply use these 'talks' to stall while continuing their race towards nuclear weapons. If the consequences weren't so enormously high this would be laughable - but there is something about Israel's destruction that takes laughter out of the equation.

Although the participants agreed to reconvene in Moscow in three weeks, the Iranian delegation stressed there would be no progress until the US and the other five world powers (Britain, France, Russia, Germany and China) recognized Iran’s absolute “right” as a signatory of the Non-Proliferation Treaty to enrich uranium.

Give them credit - at least they're being honest, unlike most of the world's leaders.

Meanwhile, every day spent on diplomacy is thoroughly exploited by Iran to zip ahead with its nuclear plans. The Vienna-based UN nuclear watchdog (IAEA)’s quarterly report released Friday reveals that since February Iran almost doubled its stockpile of more highly enriched uranium which is close to weapons grade from 73.4 to 145 kilograms.

The centrifuges at the Fordo facility, built into the side of a mountain, rose to over 500 from 300 in the last report.

Using the IAEA figures, DEBKAfile calculates that if Fordo goes on producing 23.9 kilograms of 20-percent enriched uranium per month, Iran will by the end of December have accumulated 336 kilograms of near-weapons quality uranium.

The gap between Israel and the Obama administration widened in the course of Washington’s direct, secret give-and-take with Tehran.

In early April, Defense Minister Barak reported that Israel offered some compromise on the enrichment issue. DEBKAfile disclosed at the time that Israel had informed Washington of its approval of a “1,000 formula.” Iran would be permitted to activate 1,000 centrifuges for enrichment and keep 1,000 kilograms of 3.5-per cent enriched uranium.

The Netanyahu government backtracked when this concession was used by US officials as a lever for further accommodations with Iran.

The direct US-Iran channel and the second round of Six Power talks with Iran have clearly left the standoff over Iran’s nuclear solidly in place: Iran stands by its right to enrich uranium up to weapons grade, the US stands by diplomacy, however hopeless, for resolving the controversy, while Israel demands a time limit for negotiations. Its military option was put back on the table for so long as Iran’s enrichment centrifuges continue spinning at top speed.
Nothing could be more clear: Israel knows that these talks are destined for failure and it is also apparent that Israel realizes they are completely on their own right now, at this time in history.

It's good that Israel has this knowledge. They are indeed completely on their own, just as biblical prophecy has foretold. Fortunately, they have God on their side and God will step forward in an epic manner just when Israel needs help the most.

Ultimately, Israel doesn't need "the nations" - they have something far far more powerful: God Himself. Just read Ezekiel 38-39 for a glimpse at what God has in mind for protecting Israel from her enemies.

Scott, Israel may be on their own; but they are certainly not abandoned. There are millions of Born Again Christians who recognize its prophetic role and pray for her. I was there one year during the Feast of Tabernacles with 5 or 6 thousand other Christians showing our love for the Nation. Our tour guide said to us that Born Again Christians are the best friends Israel has. So with Almighty God and millions of Christians around the world, Israel certainly is not fighting this battle alone. For those who know the rest of the story, we know how it ends.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. But the nation's leaders - those who control the military and purse strings aren't helping Israel - IOW, "The Nations" are against Israel (formally) - despite the Church support for Israel. All we can do is appeal to God in prayer - which we do. Ultimately, it all goes through God and God will protect Israel from destruction.

Next week is critical. There is
a WAVE count the suggests that
ANY violation of DOW 12, 311 will
USHER IN a huge number 3 down.

and a subsequent PANIC.

BUT 12, 311 MUST be broken. It needs
to be taken out on the downside. Anything less and bulls will still
be in control sad to say.

WE WILL SEE next week......

What an awesome place in history to be alive! Obama was allowed to be in office for just such a time as this- I sensed the role he was going to play as far back as when he campaigned so mesmerizingly, in '08. I've been reading this blog for quite some time & thought I'd finally tip my hat to all the great work Scott is doing here! :-)

Christine - Well, its about time! (just kidding - I couldn't resist :) Seriously, thanks a lot. And I too always think its so special that we were all born and lived in a 'biblical era'. Its absolutely amazing - to watch this all play out, and to see the 'cast of characters' (Gog, etc) in living color is nothing less than surreal.

Though there may be many Christians saying they are praying for us Israeli's and standing with us, there is a huge number growing daily, of "Christians" with a new doctrine that is trying to replace us by saying they are the "lost tribes" of Israel and the true Jews. They come here and actually tell us this, claiming their "right" to this land. We have a growing mistrust for Gentile Christianity.
Sorry. We are very alone.

Israeli believer, - Hey! Not to worry!!
Many of us here, and on other true Christian websites, are fully aware of this false doctrine and of the deceivers that propagate it!

And again, not to worry at all since YHVH has yer back [and ours]!!

Your land belongs to your God and ours, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and He has entitled it to you guys with the guarantee that it is yours Eternal, --> And that it will NEVER be divided!!

We believe the Word of God to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem", the real Jerusalem, the one that is in the center of your ancient land, called "Israel"!!

Shalom brother!

Hi Mrs. C......
I have tried several times to access the camera at the Wailing Wall, but it always comes up with a pic of a stone wall with doves on it.
Can you or anyone here help me with this?

Thank you so much for everything.

Caver said...

Hi Helen,

perhaps I can be of assistance. That is the standard still picture before you're connected or when the cams are off.

To the left of the screen you will find a picture and choice of 3 cameras views you can select. Either the top or bottom one is the one you want. Click on one of then....and then wait. It will be buffering, hopefully.

This is a period of very heavy viewership and it takes a while sometimes. If, after waiting, you get a "...Blocked..." sign, then just try again. It means the camera feeds are maxed out. Sometimes we have to cycle 3 to 4 times before we finally get "hooked in".

Hope that helps :tipshat

God bless you for posting here. I want you to know how much I love your nation and your people. most of us here on this site would gladly take up arms to defend the covenant, the eternal right to your land, that the almighty has declared. Covenants made by man are always broken but when God declares the truth it stands forever. Remember He places His word above his name. If that doesn't say it all I don't know what does. from the beginning God has declared his eternal love for the Jewish people and their nation. I long for the day when all these differences between believers in Yeshua will be stripped away forever. God bless you my brother. Cling to Yeshua and profess your belief in Him to all who will hear.

Thank you very much Mr. C.
I will try that....although I am beginning to think it may have something to do with the fact that I use Google Chrome as my browser.

The Lord bless you my for the fruit the tree brings ... you can tell who the true Christian believers are.

Dear Israeli Believer, the ancient prophet Elijah also felt alone; and thought he was the only one left who honored God; but God told him there were 7,000 men in Israel who have not bowed down to Baal. So please take heart. You are definitely not alone. For Almighty God is with you; and will someday make everything right very soon. Just because someone calls himself a Christian doesn't make him one; and those who practice Replacement Theology are not true followers of God's Prophetic Word. So you have more friends than you realize. So we will certainly keep praying for you, and look forward to the day when that great chariot calls us home. We will look forward to seeing you.

Scott said...

Good points Dutch - and to add to that - (and the rest above) - many of us Christians, especially prophecy watchers are equally dismayed at the false doctrine of "replacement theology"......
