Despite the Post Office Scandal Fujitsu is Set To Win UK Digital ID Contract

Fujitsu is set to win the UK’s Digital ID contract despite their past failures. The Post Office Scandal involving the IT system Horizon, developed by Fujitsu, was said to be one of the biggest miscarriages of justice n the country’s legal history. The system errors wrongfully showed shortfalls in Post Office accounts affecting 2,700 postmasters. The consequences of this included the wrongful prosecution of over 900 sub-postmasters, imprisonment, financial ruin, community shaming, and in some cases, suicides. Digital ID’s is an attack on our personal freedoms as it is, but how much worse could it be when entrusted to a company such as Fujitsu?

This is a controversial decision, considering the pushback against digital ID and Fujitsu’s history with government contracts according to Reclaim the Net.

Fujitsu Set To Win UK Digital ID Contract Despite Past Failures

In the UK, the authorities seem very forgiving when picking contractors with catastrophic past failures, and so even after Fujitsu fumbled the ball badly with the Post Office Horizon system – and promised not to bid for any new public sector jobs – it is now about to get another such contract report.

Fujitsu in reality had no problem “pledging” not to bid again, because it was already made a preferred bidder to participate in the digital ID card project before it made the “pledge.”

And now likely another particularly highly sensitive system will go to the company – namely, digital ID cards are meant to replace government-issued documents like passports and driving licensees when verifying a phone owner’s age in places selling alcohol, or while using self-checkouts.

Fujitsu’s role will be to provide scanning software (likely an app) to read digital IDs for age information. The contract will span three years and is reported by The Telegraph to be under one million British pounds – however, it would open the door for Fujitsu to earn much more by selling hardware that uses the system.

The Horizon scandal in the UK, marked as one of the worst miscarriages of justice in the country’s legal history, involves the flawed Horizon IT system developed by Fujitsu and used by the Post Office for accounting. Between 1999 and 2015, the system falsely showed shortfalls in accounts, leading to the wrongful prosecution of over 900 sub-postmasters for theft and false accounting.

The consequences were severe, including imprisonment, financial ruin, community shaming, and in some cases, suicides. Despite knowing about the system’s faults as early as 2010, the Post Office continued its prosecutions until 2015.

It wasn’t until a 2019 High Court ruling acknowledged the system’s bugs and errors, confirming a “material risk” that the shortfalls were caused by the system, that the scandal fully came to light. This led to the overturning of many wrongful convictions. As of early 2024, approximately 93 convictions have been overturned, and the government has allocated around £138 million to compensate some 2,700 affected sub-postmasters.

However, the response has been criticized for being slow and insufficient, with many victims still awaiting justice. The ongoing Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry continues to investigate the matter, revealing issues with the Post Office’s disclosure practices and raising broader questions about organizational accountability and legal ethics.

'A New International Monetary System Is Taking Place': 'The Ultimate Control Apparatus'

ON THE BRINK OF A DRAMATIC CHANGE: THE DIGITALIZATION OF MONEY

“What underpins a world order is always the financial system.

We are on the brink of a dramatic change where we are about to, and I'll say this boldly, abandon the traditional system of money and accounting and introduce a new one. And the new one is what we call blockchain.

It means digital. It means having an almost perfect record of every single transaction that happens in the economy, which will give us far greater clarity over what's going on. It also raises huge dangers in terms of the balance of power between states and citizens. In my opinion, we're going to need a digital constitution of human rights if we're going to have digital money.

Most people think that digital money is crypto and private, but what I see are superpowers introducing digital currency. The Chinese were the first. The US is on the brink of moving in the same direction. The Europeans have committed to that as well.”

This revolutionary speech about a new financial system, was delivered at the World Government Summit in March 2022 in Dubai, by Philippa "Pippa" Malmgren, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and Chatham House; her father, Harald Malmgren served as a senior advisor to US Presidents Kennedy, Nixon, Ford and others. She’s a technology entrepreneur and economist, who served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush, for Economic Policy on the National Economic Council and is a former member of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets and Corporate Governance.

Her words about the transition to a new world order that requires a new financial structure correspond well with the words of French President Emmanuel Macron in June 2023 at the Global Finance Summit in Paris: "The world needs a public financial shock to fight global warming, and the current system is not suitable for dealing with the world's challenges." The president of Brazil, Lula da Silva, also called for "a clean slate" and said the Bretton Woods organizations (World Bank, International Monetary Fund) do not serve their goals nor respond to society's needs.

“A new international monetary system is taking shape, some call it the new Bretton Woods moment that needs to be seized to create a new global financial governance,” says the investigative journalist Whitney Webb in a recent sitdown interview, where she mention that according to Mark Carney, former governor of the Bank of England & Bank of Canada and the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, the three pillars of the new multi-polar world are Digital IDs, CBDCs and ESG, through a global carbon market.

All world governments are pushing this agenda, that in order for it to succeed, all monetary systems and supporting systems must become digital and rely on digital data.

A good example of this was revealed at an event of the Central Bank of Israel with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) – which I attended – in September 2023 in Tel Aviv, where the “Genesis Project” was presented. As part of this project, "green" bonds are issued, based on carbon quotas in the CBDC infrastructure. This is how the climate agenda is linked to financial markets.

“While CBDCs are what people are becoming fearful and aware of, it may just be the red herring, and the real strategy of the US dollar's survival is highly regulated stablecoins (such as Tether), which can easily be programmable, even more than CBDCs, as well as seized, regulated and controlled indirectly by governments. 100 billion dollars in treasuries were already purchased by Tether, its subsidiaries and owners. Tether is positioned alongside the top 20 nation states buying debt from the US, with around one tenth of China or Japan that have a trillion dollars debt to the US”.

Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), tie the financial freedom of citizens to the government and the banking establishment. The central bank issues its centralized digital currencies, and essentially creates a new monetary system, "fiat on steroids", a system that takes everything that is bad in the fiat system, and adds more of it; surveillance, control, censorship, and enforcement capabilities. A modern prison? Indeed, the CBDC is the ultimate prototype of a prison without physical chains. By connecting CBDCs to digital identity cards, and to government systems such as universal basic income, social credits and more, we get the ultimate control apparatus.

Money Transfers Proof That Crocus 'Terrorists For Hire' Followed Orders From Ukraine

Money Transfers Proof That Crocus 'Terrorists For Hire' Followed Orders From Ukraine
Sputnik

A report by Russian investigators has confirmed the discovery of data on the receipt of money and cryptocurrency from Ukraine by the perpetrators of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. Furthermore, a cryptocurrency account supposedly used by the organizer and perpetrators of the crime has been discovered.
It is of paramount importance that data in the technical devices seized from the suspects in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack has confirmed their connection with the Ukrainian side, Kirill Kabanov, chairman of the National Anti-Corruption Committee, told Sputnik.
Initial data received from those detained in the case related to the terrorist attack indicated Ukraine pulled the strings. However, the fresh report by the Russian Investigative Committee points to the Ukrainian special services, and “we must understand that they are directly connected with the CIA and MI6 and MI5,” Kabanov said.

“That is why the West is trying to cover this up, blaming an outlawed international terrorist organization for everything. In order to save face, and to hide the fact that Ukraine itself is a huge terrorist organization,” Kabanov, who is also a member of the Human Rights Council, said.

"The initial results of the investigation fully confirm the planned nature of the terrorists' actions, careful preparation and financial support from the organizers of the crime. As a result of working with the detained terrorists, analyzing the technical devices seized from them, analyzing information about financial transactions, evidence of their connection with Ukrainian nationalists has been obtained," the Russian Investigative Committee said on Telegram.

The terrorists received significant amounts of money and cryptocurrencyfrom Ukraine, Russian investigators added.

Surging dengue cases in Americas cause alarm as potentially worst-ever season looms

Surging dengue cases in Americas cause alarm as potentially worst-ever season looms

Dengue cases in the Americas rose in the first three months of this year by three times the number of infections reported in the same period last year, the head of the Pan American Health Organization said on Thursday.
Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay are the countries hardest hit by dengue in what PAHO officials described as potentially the worst outbreak in the Americas to date for the deadly mosquito-borne viral illness.
"Probably this will be the worst dengue season that we will have," PAHO director Dr. Jarbas Barbosa da Silva told a webcast press conference
PAHO, a United Nations agency, has confirmed more than 3.5 million cases of dengue and over 1,000 deaths this year trough March across the Americas.
Barbosa da Silva said the entire region saw around 4.5 million reported cases in all of 2023, which he said puts the Americas on track for its highest-ever number of cases this year.
Around 4 billion people, or about half the world's population, live in areas with a risk of contracting dengue, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Barbosa da Silva stressed that the jump in infections should prompt public health officials across the region to "redouble our efforts" to better address the outbreak with vector control plus personnel training to detect the most severe symptoms that patients present.
Dengue symptoms include fever, headaches, vomiting, skin rashes, as well as muscle and joint pain. In some cases, it can cause a more severe hemorrhagic fever, resulting in bleeding that can lead to death.
Most dengue cases are usually seen between February and May, the Southern Hemisphere's late summer months.

Iranian Opposition Leader and former political prisoner Vahid Beheshti spoke at an event arranged by the Middle East Forum in Congress on Thursday. At the event, he called on the American leadership and decision-makers to wake up, directly face the threat of the Iranian regime, and act to defeat it.

“The Iranian regime is weak, it’s a paper tiger,” said Beheshti, who in January became the first member of the Iranian Opposition to address the Knesset, arranged by the Middle East Forum Israel office. “The Iranian regime created 18 proxies around the region, but my message to the U.S. is not to spend your time fighting proxies, aim for the head of the octopus. Israel knows that they are not fighting Hamas solely, they are fighting Iran. Without Iran, Hamas wouldn’t have survived a few weeks.”

“90% of the Iranian people are against the regime. The moment Americans and their allies hit the Iranian regime, the people of Iran will rise up and finish the job.”

Beheshti explained that the massacre and hostage-taking on October 7th were inspired by the Iranian success in gaining access to significant funds by releasing the Islamic Republic’s Western hostages.

“For four decades, the Iranian regime has taken our people hostage, forcing the West to sit around the negotiating table to provide the funds that they need,” Beheshti explained. “Three weeks before October 7th, the current U.S. administration released $6 billion in exchange for five hostages. Of course, they will push Hamas to take 250 hostages, imagine what they can get for that many hostages.”

Beheshti called upon the different parts of the Iranian opposition to unite in the common cause in this sacred war to save the free world. “The Iranian regime has a strategy to ruin the free democratic West from within, to turn our world into an Islamic state. They use our system of democracy to weaken America and Europe by aggressive lobbying and radicalizing our youth, to turn them into the enemies of our deeply held values. This is a long-term plan.”

“If we don’t defeat it now, soon it will be too late when they gain nuclear weapons capability. They will use it.”
