Chaos, Looting, Burning, Destruction, Murder, Mayhem, and the “authorities” have invited it and are unable (or unwilling?) to stop it.
Now it is apparently spreading to Italy, Belgium, and elsewhere in European Union countries. Unfortunately, logical.
Will British citizens see what could be the same turmoil by the time this article is posted?
There are already many smaller English towns and villages having large numbers of “migrants” (often more of them than the number of citizens) forced on them despite their legitimate objections by the taxpaying, lifelong residents who are being ignored by the intentional tyrannical actions of the “governing authorities.”
Can/will that happen here in America? In fact, it already is. America is not exempt.
People who are living under an existential threat every minute of every day, in the cities and those living in more rural areas, sensing (and rightly so in my mind) that it will spread to them, will be looking for answers but also knowing their own “government agencies” cannot, or will not, or even be able to, save them.
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring” (Luke 21:25). Emphasis added.
Desperate times will result in desperate measures when desperate people become desperate for “peace and safety.”
I believe these circumstances will be one major factor in the desperation of the nations of the world for “something,” “someone,” “anything,” “anyone” to restore order.
“What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the alliances of all people and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he god or devil, we will receive him.” –Henri Spaak circa 1957-1960 Secretary General of NATO
I believe it is not only an economic morass but a societal one that will drive this thinking.
And, I believe that this is what will help to lead to the rise of the one, according to the prophetic Word of God, that the world will embrace to its own destruction.
Wars and rumors of wars certainly cause unease and uncertainty, but when violence and fear are on a person’s own doorstep, a different kind of panic sets in.
Panic that blots out reason: Perplexity – “The state of being perplexed or puzzled” (American Heritage Dictionary).
When threatened, the natural human response is to seek some sort of quick answer.
God has indicated where the answer is NOT to be found:
“Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he” (Isaiah 2:22).
There are no answers in human government, yet most people will seek them there and not find them. Just as God declared when they do not acknowledge Him:
“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’“ (Psalms 14:1/53:1).
Thus, the “seas” of people rise up. Some will take action, but most will just acquiesce, trusting that “someone” will solve their problems, take charge, and provide for them.
According to God’s Word, that “someone” will indeed appear:
“For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
It seems clear.
Prophetic realities cannot be forced on world events, so I say this with all due caution and respect for the Lord, but it seems that this current chaos helps define the description of those conditions which will, at the least, drive the actual prophetic fulfillment of Luke 21:25.
Now to the crux of this article.
For those who study and rightly understand the prophecies revealed in God’s Word, these events indicate that the world of men is rapidly reaching its conclusion with the soon intervention of the Lord, as indicated in the Book of Revelation 4:1, the promised pre-tribulation removal of the True Church (the Rapture), in preparation for the execution of Daniel’s 70th Week/The Time of Jacob’s Trouble, commencing with (Revelation 6:1).
But: it is also a message for those who deny the existence and/or the clear intentions of God, who has provided all the information, revelation, and Truth in His Written Word and by The Way, The Truth and The Life (the Living Word) that Jesus declared Himself to be in God’s written Word, and by His first advent on this earth 2000+/- years ago.
