Deadline Looms For Air Force Mandatory Vaccine: 12,000 Set To Reject Order

12,000 Air Force Personnel, Including Elite Pilots, Have Rejected Vax Order As Tuesday Deadline Looms

TYLER DURDEN

The deadline is looming for US Air Force personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and many thousands are still refusing, according to the latest reports. For many at this point, it's also too late to receive both jabs by the next Tuesday, Nov. 2 deadline. Other branches like the Navy have deadlines coming later in November, but the Air Force will be the first test case as it set the earliest deadline.

The Washington Post is now at the end of the week reporting that up to 12,000 Air Force personnel are still declining the vaccine, causing alarm within the top chain of command who are worried it will impact force readiness, particularly as some forces in key positions face discharge over their vax refusal. "The fact that it’s a choice leading to potential loss to readiness is striking," a military policy analyst with the Center for a New American Security Katherine L. Kuzminski, told the Post.

Short of full discharge, those refusing the mandate could be charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), based on prior Defense Department statements. Currently some class action lawsuits are said to be underway among troops - including reservists - who argue the mandate violations their individual medical freedom and Constitutional rights.

When it comes to the Air Force especially, there's a risk of losing pilots and technicians - people in elite and highly skilled positions - who have undergone years of prior training at a government and taxpayer cost of millions of dollars. The Hill summarizes the dilemma facing military top brass as follows:

However, with such a significant amount of service members rejecting the vaccine mandate, officials are faced with a dilemma — take action against those who rejected the mandate and possibly face serious setbacks within units that should be ready for a crisis, or go back on a wide-scale requirement established in August by the top military leaders.

If military leaders back down, it could set a precedent allowing personnel to more readily push back against future mandates - for example if a booster shot is ordered - something the Biden administration has signaled it may be prepared to do.

"The Air Force is the third-largest military service at 324,000 members, the Post noted. So even a small percentage of the ranks can be substantial," The Hill summarizes further of the situation.

The US Navy is of similar size in terms of active duty members. The Navy and other branches are also at risk of seeing a mass exodus. Earlier this month a report in AFP underscored that "If all the services take the same hard line that the navy is taking, it risks losing as many as 46,000 troops, though presumably more will accept vaccinations before the deadline." The Navy's deadline is Nov.28 for all to be in full compliance.

The West Jerusalem Consulate Issue Is Dividing U.S - Israel Relationship Into 'Open Schism'

Rift widens over US bid for Israel’s formal consent to reopening W. Jerusalem consulate for Palestinians
DEBKA

A US official’s statement that Israel’s written permission is required, before the US may reopen its Jerusalem consulate for Palestinians, landed with an unpleasant thud at the feet of the Bennett-Lapid government on Wednesday, Oct. 27, weeks after they had evaded the request.

The statement by Brian McKeon, US Dep. Secretary of State, came in answer to a question from Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty, before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Asked: “Is it your understanding that under US and international law, the government of Israel would have to provide its affirmative consent before the US could open or reopen the US consulate to the Palestinians in Jerusalem?” McKeon replied: “Senator, that’s my understanding that we need the consent of the host government to open any diplomatic facility.”

This affirmation came on the heels of the Biden administration’s recent rebukes of Israel. One, for approving 3,144 new housing units for settlements in Judea and Samaria coupled with 1.300 units in Palestinian areas of the West Bank. Two, for declaring six Palestinian organizations fronts for terrorists.

Further souring the relations between the two new administrations in Washington and Jerusalem is a third issue that has received less prominence. It turns out that whenever Israeli officials try to talk about the Iranian nuclear question, whether over the negotiations, which Tehran has set to resume next month, or a possible Plan B if diplomacy fails, their American colleagues jump in with the need to launch discussions of a two-state solution of the Israel-Palestinian dispute.

All three unresolved issues looming over the relations are ticking bombs under the shaky five-month-old coalition government, which is still struggling daily to survive its manifold divisions.

PM Naftali Bennett, FM and alternative PM Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz know that a clear resolution of any of the three issues would sharply abbreviate their government’s survival.

Lapid is indeed reported to have told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that acceding to a second consulate in Jerusalem could topple the government.

And the coalition’s fragility was brought to the fore this week by Minister of the Interior Ayelet Shaked, who said in accidental open mic comments: “Lapid is a shallow person and Gantz is even worse,” she said, adding, “I’m not sure that the rotation of prime ministers [from Bennett to Lapid} will actually take place. We’ll have to wait two years and see.”

The US consulate opening in West. Jerusalem is not just a routine matter of diplomacy. As a core emblem of Jewish nationhood, Jerusalem’s status as Israel’s undivided capital overrides most partisan divisions. Reopening the consulate would set in motion two profound processes:

  1. It would drive a deep crack in President Donald Trump’s recognition of east and west Jerusalem as Israel’s undivided capital. Along with that recognition, the separate consulate for Palestinians on Agron St. was shut down and its functions transferred to the US embassy which was then relocated to Jerusalem.
  2. It would also be a step towards realizing the concept of negotiated Palestinian statehood advocated by the Biden administration and meeting the Palestinian demand for its capital to be located in East Jerusalem.

President Joe Biden appears to have taken his stand against Israel to meet the rising pressure aimed at him by leftwing-progressive circles in the Democratic party, who are taking advantage of his falling rating and his administration’s perceived fiasco in the Afghanistan withdrawal. He is therefore making a point of breaking ranks with his predecessor’s pro-Israel stance. If the Bennett government stands by its refusal to provide written consent for the consulate’s reopening, the rapport unfolding between the two governments may well descend into an open schism extending to other fields.

Israel Hits A Number Of Locations Surrounding Damascus In Rare Daytime Strikes

Israel said to hit targets near Damascus in rare daytime Syria strike

Israel targeted a number of locations surrounding Damascus in a rare daytime strike on Saturday, according to Syrian media reports.

The state SANA news site said the strikes were carried out using surface-to-surface missiles fired from northern Israel and that explosions were heard in the countryside surrounding the Syrian capital.

SANA said two Syrian soldiers were injured and there was “material damage” after the country’s air defense systems were activated against “hostile targets from the direction of occupied lands,” an apparent reference to Israel.

The news site claimed that the missiles were “repelled.”

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a pro-opposition group of unclear funding, said Saturday’s raid destroyed arms and ammunition depots belonging to Iranian forces and allied militias in Qudsaya and Dimas.

Although not unheard of, daytime strikes on Syrian targets are relatively rare.

There was no comment from the Israel Defense Forces, in line with its policy of only publicly acknowledging strikes that are in response to attacks from Syria.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria over the course of the country’s civil war, targeting what it says are suspected arms shipments believed to be bound for Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group, which is fighting alongside Syrian government forces.

On Monday, Syrian media said Israeli missiles struck targets connected to the Hezbollah terror group on the outskirts of the town of al-Baath as well as other locations in southern Syria.

The three sites were all reportedly connected to Hezbollah’s so-called Golan File, its efforts to establish a front along the Golan border from which it can carry out attacks against Israel.

According to Syrian media, two of the sites were observation posts used by the Lebanese terror group, while the third target was a site just next to a Syrian military facility that Israel has long claimed was working with Hezbollah, the offices of Cpt. Bashar al-Hussein, commander of a reconnaissance company in the Syrian army’s 90th Brigade.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a pro-Syrian opposition organization of unclear funding, said the strikes caused “material damage,” but there was no immediate word on casualties.

Later on Monday morning, in a tacit threat, the Israeli military reportedly dropped leaflets in the Syrian Golan mentioning Hussein by name and warning Syrian troops to avoid cooperating with Hezbollah. The IDF did not immediately confirm dropping the fliers, but the pages were marked with the eagle symbol of the Israeli military’s 210th “Bashan” Division, which defends that area of the border with Syria.

Reported Israel missile attack targets Syrian-Lebanon highway, Hizballah sites

DEBKA

Syrian state media report that ground-to-ground missiles were fired from Israel on Saturday morning, Oct. 31, toward suburbs of the capital Damascus. No details were offered except to claim that some of the missiles were downed by Syrian air defenses and they injured two Syrian soldiers.

DEBKAfile adds that the main highway from Syria to Lebanon was targeted as well as Hizballah bases in the Dimas area west of the Syrian capital, to curtail Iranian arms deliveries to Hizballah. This latest attack was unusual in that it used precise ground-to-ground missiles for the sake of a high degree of accuracy in attacking Iranian and pro-Iranian targets.

This action came after Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s conversation at Sochi with President Vladimir Putin on Oct. 22. The Russian leader informed Israel that Moscow would no longer tolerate air strikes that were capable of destabilizing the Assad regime. He also called on Israel to provide advance notice of forthcoming hits against Iranian targets in Syria at an earlier stage than at present.

A likely consequence of that conversation was the IDF’s resort to extra precise surface missiles for curbing the Iranian military presence in Syria instead of routine air strikes

Davos, WEF And The Great Reset

NEXT: 1,000 PRIVATE JETS WILL ASSEMBLE IN DAVOS TO EXECUTE THE GREAT RESET

> The wealthy elite travel to the World Economic Forum’s annual meetings via a “steady stream” of private planes and helicopters to discuss issues like global sustainability

> By 2050, it’s estimated that aviation will contribute 22% of global carbon emissions; still, in 2019, more than 600 private planes arrived at the Davos Forum, and that doesn’t include the military planes that transported an additional 60 presidents and prime ministers

> Jet-setters are carbon super-emitters; the idea that the elite can continue to pollute but simply purchase carbon credits to “offset” their pollution is a matter of smoke and mirrors

> WEF and its partners are using the COVID-19 pandemic as “a unique window of opportunity” to rapidly usher in The Great Reset, which involves changing everything from future global relations and the direction of national economies to “the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons”

> Part of the plan involves ushering in stakeholder capitalism, in which private corporations — not elected leaders — become “trustees of society,” putting your privacy and data, your food and your freedom at risk

At the start of each year, the world’s elite hop into their private jets and descend upon Davos, Switzerland, a city prized not only for its luxury ski resorts but also for hosting the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.

Also known as the Davos Forum, the event takes on a different theme each year, providing a global platform for business leaders, government officials, academia and other members of society to discuss “critical issues.”1 WEF is one of the key players behind The Great Reset, with their “new normal” dictum that, by 2030, you will own nothing and be happy.2

In such a scheme, the world’s resources will be owned and controlled by the technocratic elite. All items and resources are to be used by the collective, while actual ownership is restricted to an upper stratum of social class. Just how “upper class”?

To even attend the WEF annual meeting, you must be privately invited or a member of WEF, which costs $60,000 to $600,000. The attendance badge for the meeting is extra and costs another $27,000 in 2020, just to get entrance to the conference.3

The irony was palpable at Davos 2020, which brought in a “steady stream” of private planes and helicopters so their passengers could discuss the climate crisis and sustainability.4 In 2018, more than 1,000 private jets and helicopters similarly made their way to Davos and, in 2017, an estimated 200 private flights landed in the city each day during the event.5

But we needn’t worry about this indulgence of the upper classes at the expense of the environment, according to WEF. “Offering little self-awareness, leaders of the WEF claim that the jet-set class promises to purchase carbon credits to offset the emissions from their planes,” Forbes noted. This is yet another strategy of the technocratic elite to set up a new wave of colonization in the name of sustainability and “net zero” carbon emissions.

Millions Of Locusts Swarm Trinidad:

Millions of locusts swarm Trinidad, infesting homes, plaguing residents and devastating crops
Strange Sounds

The people of Princes Town have been living in a horror movie for the past two weeks.

The Moruga locusts (Coscineuta virens) have swarmed by the millions, munching through fruit trees and ornamental plants, and threatening to destroy acres of crops in surrounding farmlands.

Cars driving through the area are often covered by the insects, and people walking about the town are constantly swatting away the bugs flying about by the thousands.

They are getting into homes, cars and businesses, and are resistant to insect repellents.

When the sky darkened over parts of Manahambre, Lothians and St Croix last Wednesday morning, residents thought it was a change in weather, a sign of incoming rain or storm.

But as the dark cloud descended, thousands of locusts landed on their fruit trees, crops and plants devouring everything in sight.

“I lived here for about 40 years or so and this is the first time I have seen anything like this. The sky got dark, and it sounded like rain and thunder to us how loud it was.

“Then they came down on everything, all our trees in the back, the avocados, the chataigne and they swarmed. If you go outside right now, they will even cover you,” said a resident of Marcano Street in Princes Town, Trinidad.
