Russia has expanded its military cooperation with Iran. Russia is providing satellite imagery
and advanced drone technology to help Iran better strike back against the United States,
the Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources.
This includes drone components to improve communication, navigation and targeting,
according to the sources, who include a senior European intelligence officer and a diplomat
in the Middle East.
Russia has also shared its experience with drone warfare from its invasion of Ukraine.
The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Russia provided Iran with intelligence on
the positions of American forces. This cooperation has deepened during the war, according
to the sources.
Moscow's intelligence - based on collection by the Russian satellite fleet - is believed to
have been used in Iranian attacks on radar warning systems in Jordan, as well as targets
in Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman
