It took 24 hours to decipher the extent of the damage caused to Kiev by the sweeping Russian bombing.

Russian and international analysts are talking about Russia's most violent and cruel military strike against the Ukrainian capital. Ukrainian firefighters battled for hours to control the flames that erupted from various parts of the Ukrainian capital.

In one of his rare admissions in front of the cameras, Vladimir Putin, meeting wounded Russian soldiers, said verbatim that "everything is boiling inside me right now" (ss with anger).

The reason was the Ukrainian attack on Belgorod with victims of civilians and children.

However, he reminded the Russian soldiers - at the same time sending a message to the right place - that the only easy thing is to level the Ukrainian cities and for Moscow to "respond with the same currency".

But he made it clear that he will not go down that road:

"We can hit the squares, in Kyiv or any other city. Denis (s.b. name of a soldier) there are children walking, mothers with prams.

I understand, everything boils inside me. I want to ask you: Do we need to do this? We are attacking with precision weapons."

The Ukrainian air force warned that Russian strategic bombers had taken off and declared an alert practically throughout the country.

In addition to the takeoffs he spoke of from Russian air bases in Alenia (northwest) and Engels (southwest), he also referred to other Tupolev strategic bombers taking off from Russia's Tchaikovka airbase near the border with Belarus.

The attack hit six districts of the Ukrainian capital, injuring at least 27 people and starting seven fires.

According to Klitschko, natural gas pipelines in the Peshersky district were damaged, while electricity and water supply have been cut off in many parts of Kyiv.

As announced by the electricity management company in Ukraine, Ukrenergo, more than 250,000 consumers are facing power outages.

"After a massive missile attack, Ukrenergo's network in Kyiv and its region was damaged. More than 250,000 consumers do not have electricity," he stressed on Telegram.

For his part, Oleh Sinekhubov, the governor of Kharkiv region, said that the center of the city of the same name was attacked yesterday at 07:30 am (local time and Greek time).

For his part, Mykola Oleschuk, commander of the Air Force, pointed out that yesterday's strikes are a repeat of the large Russian attack on December 29 in terms of the number and type of missiles.
