A congressman who introduced a bill that would bar mandatory vaccination says he's been contacted by military members who say they will quit of the Pentagon requires them to get a COVID shot.
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was reacting on Twitter to an Army Times report that the Army "has directed commands to prepare to administer mandatory COVID-19 vaccines as early as Sept. 1, pending full Food and Drug Administration licensure.
On Tuesday, Defense Department Press Secretary John Kirby confirmed the Pentagon will consider mandatory COVID vaccination for personnel if the Food and Drug Administration approves the vaccines.
The vaccines are now under Emergency Use Authorization, with Pfizer's clinical trial scheduled by be completed by January 2023.
"Should the FDA approve it then I am certain Pentagon leadership will take a look at what our options are going forward, including the potential options of making it mandatory," he said. "But I’m not going to get too far ahead of process right now."
Pfizer and BioNTech, as well as Moderna, recently submitted applications for full approval of their vaccines. The FDA is now deciding whether or not to grant "priority review," which renders a decision within six months.
Kirby said Tuesday that top Pentagon brass are considering the next steps.
“We are a planning organization. I don't think that should surprise anybody that we’re trying to think about what the implications would be and how we would react to that," he said.
The Pentagon, meanwhile, will continue to promote the vaccines, insisting they're "safe, they’re effective."

Disappointed if Pentagon insist Military take those, STILL on-going experimental shots, brought on by a well known exaggerated RUSE timed by CCP with yet another suspiciously tallied timed Election, with commie propaganda, many fake Covid-19 -called deaths, and false-positive Covid-19 results, as has been greatly reputed to a tee, in my opinion!
"IF" Pentagon goes through with this continued promotion/mandatory possibility even, for pushed vaccines as the shots being labeled, (they are NOT such, IMO), then would not one question any further decisions Pentagon Brass made?? We are currently dealing with reputed possibility of attacks upon this Nation from either, or, Russia/Iran/China/NK / some of our Globalist's some repute, as an example??? One does wonder IMO, how some great minds think these days, it's concerning. Pentagon surely must enlist experts for knowing; What is real, what are fake political theater scams..by traitor's, (figure this out, arrest them traitor's, right?), know what or WHO are, and is an important National Security Issue, UFO's any yep, what are our risk factors while mock war games going on by all known countries beating war drums, right????? Pentagon is expected to differentiate between each, and every one of those scenario's we face, now including any decision on some assine Genetic modified injection, In my Opinion!
We need healthy untainted men & women in our Military, and as a dependent of Military Family when growing up, many shots were given,esp for travel overseas; ALL proven warranted, so not against real shots for real proven prevention, and those pretend vaccines are yet to be proven worth the risk factors, in my opinion!! My Father, God rest his dear "Awesome" soul, worked Intel AF 30 years, Pentagon many years ea twice, and proud of this; Pentagon was thought of as such a respected productive place for Department of Defense (DoD) operations, defense programs, and military personnel. So expectations are, Pentagon makes the best decisions needed for our floundering Nation right now, in my opinion! Article does infer Pentagon will look at options should FDA approve shots, this is good for hope; Sorry, it's hard trusting Pharma, FDA, Biden Administration, World Economic Forum, CCP, WHO, after the masses see one crisis created after another crisis, AND then made worse by all their messing with mostly created crisis by policies made, thus compromising OUR Freedoms, in my opinion!
The World Can be a Better Place for ALL to Co-Exist! In my opinion our Laws, the Constitutional Laws must be followed to improve life in USA, many of those laws have been compromised by some in Government/Global Corporate/Elitist interference's, thus herein lies our current crisis, in my opinion! American's want new Leadership for a start...as being strongly reputed by majority out here, IMO! Limited Gov. must work FOR AMERICAN's, AND this has not been occurring much lately to populace satisfaction, concern, and in my little old humble opinion. Gov. is NOT to make up enforcement's for this, for that on a whim, or as we go along?? LOOK, it doesn't work, see for yourselves! Upside down America, we need to put her upside right..again IMO!
