The Capitol Police will open regional offices in California and Florida as part of the agency's response to the Capitol incursion.
Yogananda Pittman, the department’s acting chief, announced the opening of the offices in a statement Tuesday on the Capitol Police website.
"The USCP has enhanced our staffing within our Dignitary Protection Division as well as coordinated for enhanced security for Members of Congress outside of the National Capitol Region," Pittman said.
"The Department is also in the process of opening Regional Field Offices in California and Florida with additional regions in the near future to investigate threats to Members of Congress."
After the Jan. 6 incursion, protection for members of Congressin their home states emerged as a top issue. The Capitol Police is the agency charged with protecting members of Congress.
Pittman has not been specific about the threats, but she said this past spring that most come from individuals who are not near Washington, D.C.
"The new USCP field offices will be in the Tampa and San Francisco areas. At this time, Florida and California are where the majority of our potential threats are," the Capitol Police said in a statement to Fox News.
"The field offices will be the first for the Department. A regional approach to investigating and prosecuting threats against Members is important, so we will be working closely with the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in those locations. More field offices will be opening in the future."

Interesting Article! This doesn't make any sense in my world, or the world as many have come to NOW know it, in my opinion! What happen to "PROOF"? Do they have proof of threats or do they just act upon a whim to appear relevant, push narratives till the sun don't shine, or what?
In my opinion, sounds like they best take care of looter's in places where under a $1,000 stolen, criminals don't get into trouble as reputed, ah San Francisco being one place allowing looters to go free indeed, as reputed? Can they figure out those theft crimes against other's first before taking quantum leaps to this created, "What IF's" that no one definitively knows if even exist concerning them saying tis so??
The world is truly upside down with the RED QUEEN from "Alice in Wonderland" as part of this chess game being played IMO; Objective of those character's Alice meets are: They want to rule the world, and not interested in logical solutions, but to reign with absolute rule and execution, right? So IMO, when hearing of nonsensical moves on USA Government's chess board, the pieces moving, well, they seem a bit awkward as to where they are moving towards, in my opinion!!??
Personally, it's hard to believe anything from those that are deceptive prior to these new revelations, in that, "They doth protest way too much", in my opinion! "Boy that calls Wolf" even comes to mind!
