London: Vast Areas Of London 'No-Go Zones'
London 2018: Vast areas of East, North and South London “no-go zones” because of acid attack epidemic
VAST areas of East, North and South London have been declared “no-go zones” by terrified delivery drivers because of the acid attack epidemic, The Sun can reveal.
Moped riders say they won’t go to the violent hotspots after 8pm because they fear being attacked with acid or knives.
They have been forced to cut down their hours – taking a massive pay cut – thanks to the dangers.
The House of Commons heard last week that London has more acid attacks per head of population than any other world city.
Labour MP Stephen Timms revealed there are “parts of London where drivers are not willing to go because of the danger of attack”.
Delivery drivers told The Sun they used to work as late as 2am, ferrying takeaways and packages around the capital.

But they now start winding up their shifts as early as 8pm in order to avoid having to go to the most dangerous parts of London.
They named trendy up-and-coming neighbourhoods such as Hackney, Camden, Stoke Newington and Bethnal Green as spots to avoid after dark.
Regenerated areas such as Stratford – home to the Olympic Park – and Elephant & Castle were also listed among the danger zones.
Even wealthy Islington, home to politicians including Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn, is shunned by drivers late at night because of the threat of acid atrocities.
One moped driver told The Sun: “We used to work till 2am – now people are stopping before 10pm.
“After 8pm or 9pm, we’re not going to those dangerous places.”
Acid attack threats have made parts of London ‘no go areas’, a former Labour minister has claimed.
Stephen Timms made the comment and told MPs that
the UK had ‘the highest rate of attacks per capita’ in the world.
