Increasing Persecution In China, Europeans Tire Of U.S. Interventions, America's Increasing Capacity For Delusion

Christianity persecuted in China: Officials tear down crosses

China has torn down more than two thousand crucifixes from churches as the government strives to regulate “excessive religious sites”.
The effort began two years ago in the Zhejiang province, where several people were arrested for trying to stop the crackdown.  Human rights lawyer Zhang Kai attempted to launch a legal campaign to challenge the removal of the crosses when he was apprehended.  After six months he was forced to appear on state-run television and confess his “crimes”, according to the Daily Express.  He was later released.
In addition to the crosses, the charity China Aid reports 49 churches have been destroyed.
There are more than 28 million Christians living in China.
Many experts believe the arrests are part of an effort to reduce the influence of groups and to manipulate people by forcing them to use state churches.
A pastor from Hong Kong, Rev. Ng Wah has been prosecuted for printing Christian books, according to Christian Daily.
“It is political persecution … Some extreme leftist officials in Guangzhou did this,” said Constant Kim, a Christian Church of Chinese Ministry member, as quoted by Christian Today.
Others have been persecuted for organizing house churches and posting messages online to invite Christians to attend services and training.

The Institute for Digital Archeology has decided against bringing a 3-D printed replica of the archway to the Temple of Baal to New York City in May.
The decision from the Institute for Digital Archeology (IDA) was reported on Friday by the Telegraph, who said the organization will instead build the Arch of Triumph, and only bring it to Trafalgar Square in London. It will be built out of Egyptian marble by an industrial 3-D printer. The IDA has not released a statement as to why they changed their decision.
The Arch of Triumph was an 1,800-year-old monumental arch which framed the approach to the Roman city of Palmyra and was partially destroyed by ISIS in October 2015.
When ISIS seized the Syrian city of Palmyra in May 2015 and began using the amphitheater to stage executions, they destroyed the Arch of Triumph, as well as the temples of Bel and Baalshamin.
The Temple — and demonic cult — of Baal is mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Jeremiah, Chapter 19, verses 4-6, as a place in the ancient world where Satanists could burn their children as an offering to the devil.

[4] Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;
[5] They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:
[6] Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter.

On Sunday Ukrainian prime minister Yatsenyuk resigned, just four days after the Dutch voted against Ukraine joining the European Union. Taken together, these two events are clear signals that the US-backed coup in Ukraine has not given that country freedom and democracy. They also suggest a deeper dissatisfaction among Europeans over Washington’s addiction to interventionism.

According to US and EU governments – and repeated without question by the mainstream media – the Ukrainian people stood up on their own in 2014 to throw off the chains of a corrupt government in the back pocket of Moscow and finally plant themselves in the pro-west camp. According to these people, US government personnel who handed out cookies and even took the stage in Kiev to urge the people to overthrow their government had nothing at all to do with the coup.

When Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland was videotaped bragging about how the US government spent $5 billion to “promote democracy” in Ukraine, it had nothing to do with the overthrow of the Yanukovich government. When Nuland was recorded telling the US Ambassador in Kiev that Yatsenyuk is the US choice for prime minister, it was not US interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine. In fact, the neocons still consider it a “conspiracy theory” to suggest the US had anything to do with the overthrow.

I have no doubt that the previous government was corrupt. Corruption is the stock-in-trade of governments. But according to Transparency International, corruption in the Ukrainian government is about the same after the US-backed coup as it was before. So the intervention failed to improve anything, and now the US-installed government is falling apart. Is a Ukraine in chaos to be considered a Washington success story?

This brings us back to the Dutch vote.

The overwhelming rejection of the EU plan for Ukrainian membership demonstrates the deep level of frustration and anger in Europe over EU leadership following Washington’s interventionist foreign policy at the expense of European security and prosperity. The other EU member countries did not even dare hold popular referenda on the matter – their parliaments rubber-stamped the agreement.

Brussels backs US bombing in the Middle East and hundreds of thousands of refugees produced by the bombing overwhelm Europe. The people are told they must be taxed even more to pay for the victims of Washington’s foreign policy.

Brussels backs US regime change plans for Ukraine and EU citizens are told they must bear the burden of bringing an economic basket case up to European standards. How much would it cost EU citizens to bring in Ukraine as a member? No one dares mention it. But Europeans are rightly angry with their leaders blindly following Washington and then leaving them holding the bag.

The anger is rising and there is no telling where it will end.

In June, the United Kingdom will vote on whether to exit the European Union. The campaign for an exit is broad-based, bringing in conservatives, populists, and progressives. Regardless of the outcome, the vote should be considered very important. Europeans are tired of their unelected leaders in Brussels pushing them around and destroying their financial and personal security by following Washington’s foolish interventionism. No one can call any of these recent interventions a success and the Europeans know it.

One way or the other, the US empire is coming to an end. Either the money will go or the allies will go, but it cannot be sustained. The sooner the American people demand an end to these foolish policies the better.

The Bible plainly teaches that one of the characteristics of the end of this age is that people will develop a capacity for delusion rather than the truth. – Rev Billy Graham – From Billy Graham: Delusion or Deliverance?

Delusions are cropping up faster than weeds in what was once one of the finest gardens the world has ever known – the United States of America. But why?

It would be all too easy to say what this writer believes with every molecule in my body – we are approaching the very last of the last days as we know them. Before the reader flees away mumbling something about those darn doomsday prophets, consider these prophecies, which in fact, are promises.

The question of why we choose delusions is the easiest of all to answer. When the truth is not loved, revered and respected, the next thing we meet on the road is "delusion" and her companion or mate, "strong delusion."

The delusion spoken of in this passage of scripture can only be connected to the last days because the verses preceding it have to do with the coming of the antichrist. We are already witnessing the strong delusions, which means, the antichrist is not far behind.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition." (2Th 2: 3)

"Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." (2Th 2: 9-11)

The why, is easy to see, "because they received not the love of the truth."

The where, is apparent – everywhere in our world today, including these United States?

The what, is burgeoning and cannot be covered in one small article. So let's look at the short list to see the truths we are discarding so we can carry on in our deadly dance with delusion.

Education and Academia – We are approaching the top of one long generation of active removal of the knowledge of God in our classrooms. We have gone from skepticism, to mocking, then right up the path to open persecution of those who so much as mention God in a classroom setting.

We hate the truth and are teaching this hatred to our children. This pathology has a natural outcome, to wit:
We have made science our new god, but our best use of it produces weapons of war, distractions for our children and the notion that we must be smarter than our creator.

We have put behind us the early warnings, the first clues were seen when the Nazi's heralded the great work in anthropology accomplished by one torturer and murderer known as Joseph Mengele. He drowned his unwilling patients, poisoned, tortured and brutalized men, women and children – all in the name of science.

We took the brilliant work of Albert Einstein and brought the cloud of nuclear annihilation upon the entire planet.

Our new god is both a farce and a fake when our application of its limited truths denies our origins and our outcome incorrectly and sends civilization into its final death throes.

Are we a race evolved from apes haply traversing to the stars, or are we exactly what Christ declares us to be – a fallen race that after a short trial will be raised to judgment?

The delusion is a generation that prefers to hang from a flimsy spider's web, rather than planting its feet on the solid rock of Christ.

Education apart from God is not just broken – it is a grand delusion.

Prof Blanchard did not elaborate on the implications of Japan’s woes for the global financial system, but they would surely be dramatic and there are growing fears that this could happen within five years. Japan is still the world’s third largest economy by far. It is also the global laboratory for an ageing crisis that the rest of us will face to varying degrees.
Once markets begin to suspect that Tokyo is deliberately engineering an escape from its $10 trillion public debt trap by means of an inflationary ‘stealth default’, matters could spin out of control quickly
It might lead to an abrupt reappraisal of sovereign debt risk in other parts of the world, especially in Europe with its own Japanese pathologies of low-growth and bad demographics. Roughly $7 trillion of debt is trading at negative yields worldwide, an accident waiting to happen for the bond market.

After Japan comes Europe:

Prof Blanchard said the risk for the eurozone is the election of populist “rogue governments” that let rip with spending in defiance of Brussels. “Investors would have serious thoughts about buying their sovereign bonds,” he said. The European Central Bank would be legally prohibited from activating its back-stop mechanism (OMT) to prevent yields soaring since these governments would not be in compliance with EU rules. “Some of them have very high debt and presumably would have to default,” he said.

Actually let's check back in another 7 years, because now that even one of the world's "top theoretical economists" acknowledges that the endgame for trillions in debt ends in a hyperinflationary supernova, and not a deflationary black hole, all those years of sliding interest rates around the globe are about to be flipped on their head. At that point it will be the Germans who are laughing last.

Sadly, there will be nothing else to laugh about as the Keynesian "progressive thinkers" will have finally reached the inevitable and disastrous "end-game" of their failed religion.

Shaky Ground: Ukraine 'Very Volatile' in Wake of Yatsenyuk Resignation

Following the resignation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Sunday, the Council of Europe has warned of growing instability in Ukraine and called for the immediate establishment of a new government.

"The situation in Ukraine is now very volatile. It is urgent that they establish a new government and even more urgent that they speed up the reform process," Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland said on Monday, according to Press TV.

Yatsenyuk has faced repeated accusations of corruption since coming to power in 2014. He narrowly survived a vote of no-confidence in February.

Wow! The section above titled "America's ever increasing capacity for delusion" hit home. Reminded of a quote by a great man, Gen Omar Bradley.

“We have men of science, too few men of God. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount. The world has achieved brilliance without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. … If we continue to develop our technology without wisdom or prudence, our servant may prove to be our executioner.”
