Nigel Farage Explains The State Of The World In 2 Minutes, 31 Seconds

Some people have the gift of explaining things succinctly (obviously I'm not in that category), and the 2:31 minute clip below is intended for the EU, but really can be applied to the world, including the U.S.

There are a lot of prophetically significant news today, but this first link should be viewed.

Nigel Farage is arguably the most open, honest, fearless politician in the world today; few people are willing and bold enough to speak the truth these days and it is incredibly refreshing. What we see here is his definition of what the EU has become, and it doesn't resemble democracy. Greece is the focus, as they have lost any ties to democracy while the EU bureaucrats and the IMF have seized control of the nation, due to their enormous debt. This will happen across the EU in the coming months/years as more and more countries become buried in debt, and the U.S. isn't far behind.

In the video clip - substitute "The World" when you hear him state "The EU" and you'll have it.

The EU is the most glaring example of this process that we are currently watching - (with Greece in the spotlight) - a process which involves various nations losing their sovereignty to centralized, unelected bureaucrats. It already happened in the U.S., beginning in the 1860's. We know that this process will continue on a world-wide basis, simply because it has to. It has to, because the coming Tribulation will consist of the ultimate in central control and authority as run by the AC and the FP. We know that once birth pains begin, they only increase in frequency and severity. Loss of freedom and democracy is just one aspect of the growing birth pains.

What Mr Farage may or may not know - is the fact that everything we are seeing today is simply stage-setting for the arrival of the antichrist. Click the link and watch the 2:31 video:

With Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras settling into his role as EU President, UKIP’s Nigel Farage stunned the “Goldman Sachs puppet” with a 150-second tirade of truthiness he has likely never experienced. Farage sacrastically remarks how Greeks “will be dancing in the streets” at Samaras’ ‘successful’ negotiation on MiFiD reminding him that “60% of youth are unemployed and the neo-nazi party are on the march.” Europe is now run by “big business, big banks, and big bureaucrats,” Farage goes on, suggesting the smarmy-looking Samaras should “rename his party from New Democracy to No Democracy.” People do not want a United State of Europe, the outspoken UKIP leader explains, they want a “Europe of sovereign states,” and concludes ominously, “the European elections will be a watershed.”

…And you come here Mr Samaras and you tell us that you represent the sovereign will of the Greek people? Well, I’m sorry, but you’re not in charge of Greece, and I suggest you rename and rebrand your party – it’s called ‘New Democracy’, I suggest you call it ‘No Democracy’.
Because Greece is now under foreign control. You can’t make any decisions, you’ve been bailed out, and you’ve surrendered democracy, the thing your country invented in the first place.
And you can’t admit that joining the euro was a mistake - of course Mr Papandreou did that didn’t he, he even said there should be a referendum in Greece and within 48 hours, the unholy trinity (troika) that now run this European Union had him removed andreplaced by a ex-Goldman Sachs employee puppet.
We are run now by big business, big banks and in the shape of Mr Barroso, big bureaucrats…

[How predictable]

While the media hypocritically train their focus on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s bridge-closing scandal, the Obama administration is quietly sweeping its IRS scandal, in which officials terrorized citizens for years with invasive investigations, audits, burdensome litigation, and threats of criminal prosecution, under the rug.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, law enforcement officials have leaked the news that the FBI will not file criminal charges regarding the IRS’s disproportionate scrutiny of conservative groups. The officials insisted that investigators found nothing that would constitute a violation of criminal law. What they claimed to have found was evidence of bureaucratic mismanagement, leading to the enforcement of rules that were misunderstood. The case remains under investigation, but barring some unexpected discovery of additional evidence, it becomes increasingly unlikely criminal charges will be filed.

If Kelly Thomas had lived in Communist North Korea, rather than conservative Orange County, California, he might have survived his encounter with the police.

Two days ago, a jury in Orange County, acquitted the two police officers who led the fatal gang-beating of Thomas, an unarmed, mentally troubled homeless man. The jurors acted on the assumption that the lethal violence was justified because the victim tried to defend himself after the police began their assault.

American police taught to treat any act of non-compliance as “resisting arrest,” a supposed offense that justifies the use of pain compliance and – in cases like that of Kelly Thomas –lethal force, if it is necessary to subdue the victim. In fact, most police who go “hands-on” with a victim will pre-emptively shout “Stop resisting!” even when no resistance is offered. Any incidental contact with the sanctified person of a police officer is treated as criminal battery or even aggravated assault.
Interestingly, this doesn’t appear to be the case in North Korea.
Last night (January 14), the PBS program Frontline aired a documentary entitled The Secret State of North Korea that drew heavily from footage collected by a group of underground videographers. Among the scenes captured in that documentary are two encounters between women and soldiers acting as police officers. (The Communist government in North Korea, unlike the proto-totalitarian US regime, doesn’t cling to the fiction that the military and police are separate entities.)
In the first confrontation, a woman running a private bus service is accosted by a soldier who attempts to issue a citation. She is angrily and openly defiant of the uniformed bully’s “authority”; at one point, she actually shoves him several times and treats him to a well-earned outpouring of verbal abuse before turning back to her work. The second incident involved a woman who refused to accept a citation for wearing pants in defiance of a mandatory dress code.
If these incidents had occurred in the United States, the women would have been beaten, tasered, and — quite possibly — killed. The onlookers who had recorded the encounters on video would probably have been arrested for “obstruction,” and their cameras would have been confiscated on the scene.

“Often now when North Koreans are challenged for infringing a certain law, as long as the offense is not political, they won’t hesitate to protest if they believe the law to be irrational,” explains Jiro Isimaru, the Japanese journalist who organized the underground videographer network. This is in stark contrast with the common perception that North Koreans have been “brainwashed” into docile conformity and reflexive submission.

That isn’t true, apparently, of a growing segment of the population suffering under Communist rule in North Korea. It is emphatically true, tragically, of too many citizens of the purported Land of the Free.

The New York Times’ conclusion that Al-Qaeda was not involved in the Benghazi attacks has been put through the shredder by the bi-partisan Senate Intelligence Committee. President Obama will appreciate parts of the report, but it is an overall indictment of the State Department and the administration’s public statements following the attacks.

The report concludes that the perpetrators included “individuals affiliated with terrorist groups, including AQIM [Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb], Ansar al-Sharia, AQAP [Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula] and the Mohammad Jamal Network.” The determination follows the State Department’s designating of both Libyan Ansar al-Sharia groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations for their involvement in the attacks.
The second finding is that the State Department did not increase security in response to this information. The Temporary Mission Facility in Benghazi was left “severely under-resourced.” And finding 5 is that U.S. personnel were not reduced in response to the breaching of security “tripwires.” Overall, the report concludes that the attack was preventable.

These findings substantiate shocking congressional testimony that personnel on the ground repeatedly asked for enhanced protection. Eric Nordstrom oversaw security for diplomats in Libya and testified that the security was “overwhelmed and could not guarantee our protection.” The response he got from a senior State Department official as that “there would be too much political cost” involved with granting his requests.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah II of Jordan met in Amman Thursday for talks, a source in the Jordanian royal palace reported.

The source, who was quoted by the Associated Press, did not specify when Netanyahu arrived for the unannounced visit or what the Israeli prime minister and the Jordanian monarch were discussing, although the official Jordanian news agency confirmed the two talked about the peace process.

The Hamas government in Gaza celebrated the graduation on Monday of paramilitary camps geared at training high-school children “to follow in the footsteps of the suicide martyrs.”
The camps, titled “the pioneers of liberation,” are run by Hamas’s ministries of education and interior. Some 13,000 students in grades 10-12 participated in the one-week training camps this year, compared to 5,000 last year when the program was launched, Israeli sources with knowledge of the program said.

The Hamas prime minister added that female trainers are also on staff “to oversee the training of the young women to follow in the footsteps of the female suicide operatives.”

Hammad, the interior minister, said the training was in preparation for the coming war with Israel.

In what PLA sources are describing as an unusually high figure, China has mobilized 100,000 troops to take part in a border exercise as part of preparations for a Korean Peninsula crisis.

“The drill is a normal military exercise to train soldiers to fight in winter and long-range conditions, according to national state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV). However, a source from the People’s Liberation Army said that it is very rare to see 100,000 military personnel mobilized for a regular exercise. The 39th Army Group has only just completed its “Iron Flow 134″ exercise in the region late last year, the source added,” reports the Want China Times.

The exercises have been launched in response to the execution of Jang Sung-taek, former vice chairman of North Korean National Defense Commission, which caused consternation in Beijing because Jang was seen as a trusted mediator between North Korea and China.

Taking place just 220 kilometers away from North Korea’s Sinuiju Special Administrative Region, the drills are designed to be a show of force to assert China’s influence over the troubled region.

As we have highlighted on a number of occasions, Beijing’s aggressive military posturing has intensified over recent months.

Earlier this week reports emerged out of state media suggesting that China was set to attack the Filipino-occupied Zhongye Island, with Beijing determined to seize the island by force as part of a skirmish that could enflame the entire South China Sea region.

A lengthy editorial which appeared in Chinese state media last month explained how the Chinese military’s current reformation process was part of a move by President Xi Jinping to prepare the People’s Liberation Army for war in response to US aggression in the Asia Pacific, developments which have prompted “major changes” in China’s national security situation.

Amidst tensions over the disputed Senkaku Islands, Beijing has also aimed some of its strident rhetoric at the United States, bragging about China’s ability to attack US military bases in the Western Pacific, as well as releasing of a map showing the locations of major U.S. cities and how they would be impacted by a nuclear strike launched from the PLA’s strategic submarine force.

Just what we need, another arms race. China's stepping up its bid for ballistic missile superiority, having just successfully test-fired the country's first hypersonic missile delivery vehicle, one capable of penetrating American air defenses to potentially deliver nuclear warheads. The Pentagon is not amused.

The WU-14 hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV) is part of China's extremely secretive missile development program, which has been quietly modernizing the country's conventional and nuclear missile systems. The missile test itself was not broadcast among any public channels but was detected, an anonymous Pentagon official confirmed with the Washington Free Beacon, flying at extremely high speeds over mainland China on January 9. And while details of the HGV are very slim at this point, analysts believe it works much like the HGV's developed by other nations including the US, India and Russia.

It's assumed that the HGV is launched aboard an ICBM, separates from the missile's final stage while still in space, some 62 miles above the planet's surface, and then zooms back into the atmosphere at more than ten times the speed of sound—around mach 10 or 7,680 miles per hour. That's fast enough to enter American airspace before we even react. By comparison, today's cruise missile technology tops out at around 500 to 600 mph.
This prospect does not sit well with many members of Congress, including Republican House Armed Services Committee members Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon, Rep. Randy Forbes and Rep. Mike Rogers. The three issued a joint statement last Tuesday calling for a redoubling of American efforts to maintain pace with the rate of Chinese military developments.

“Global warming, climate change, all these things are just a dream come true for politicians. The opportunities for taxation, for policies, for control, for crony capitalism are just immense, you can see their eyes bulge,”

Scott says.."Some people have the gift of explaining things succinctly (obviously I'm not in that category)." I believe many would disagree & argue that this web page is very "to-the-point," every day. Besides, we Americans are no match for the-gift-of-gab of the Brit's! : )

It's incredible that what Farage said is just common sense to those of us who know prophecy. The look on Samaras' face spoke volumes. But oh, I keep forgetting, we live in a world where common sense is nonexistent. We live in a world where George Soros is buying up gun manufacturers, and yet, a Hollywood director is now boasting to cast Meryl Streep in a film that he predicts will, "destroy the NRA"-- instead of making a film about how the REAL problem, mental illness, goes unchecked in our society. Go figure.

Audio - I was struck by your comment yesterday, i.e. (I'm paraphrasing) "let's just get on with it." It's like watching a very slow movie, isn't it?-- one in which you know how the movie will end because you've read The Book-- and you're waiting for the climax of the movie when "all hell breaks loose." The only difference is with THIS book, "all hell" literally means "All Hell" will break loose.

We are in such a minority (as watchmen). Though we all want to go home, we may have to get another bag of popcorn-- we're at the will & direction of a God who says, "a day is as a thousand years," to Him.

And the Holy Restrainer continues to pump iron to build those muscles… (thanks for the laugh, Caver).

I'm always torn on how much to put up - daily - in terms of updates. Then, I am always torn on how much of each article to include. I tend (IMO) to err on the side of 'too much' :)

You should see the classic Farage video where he directed his "attention" to VonRumpy (or whatever his name is) - that is a classic and quite funny as well. I'll see if I can dig that one up :)

Hi Karalee,

Always enjoy your comments and observations. We soon will go home! As everyone has mentioned, it really is building...there is excitement for us watching and dread for those who do not understand or REFUSE to.

Soon we will all meet in heavenly places!

Scott - with so many perishing in the world, is there really such thing as too much info? We can always pick & choose what we want to read, but you are stuck with the job of "reporter." At least you will never be guilty of this... “I agree with the realistic Irishman who said he preferred to prophesy after the event.” – ILN, 10/7/16

Sandra, Amen. I'm attending the funeral of a very close friend on Sat. When all is said & done, all of our comments (not Scott's work, but our comments) on this blog will be of no real significance. My friend is in Heavenly places because she understood the Gospel message. We too someday-- because we understand, but I take no pleasure in the thought that so many are clueless & will be faced w/the Tribulation--- very sobering.

Oh my goodness…to begin with, this Rabbi is a kabbalist. kabbala is mysticism that we are to walk away from, not embrace this false teaching. He was referred to as a
“mystic sage”.

This Rabbi claimed the following:
2004 – announced to the press that “ The Messiah is already in Israel”
2005-2006 was the year of “Secret Revelation” and that during that year the Jewish Messiah would be revealed.
Again, 2005 – he declared “The soul of Messiah has attached itself to a person in
Israel”.

Not only did this Rabbi say that the Messiah was already walking around Israel 14 YEARS ago, but here is what he said about the Messiah being here quote:

“It is hard for many good people in the society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood is hard to accept for many in the nation. As leader, the Messiah will not hold any office, but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign.
“Will all believe in the Messiah right away? No, in the beginning some of us will believe in him and some not. It will be easier for non-religious people to follow the Messiah than for Orthodox people.
“The revelation of the Messiah will be fulfilled in two stages: First, he will actively confirm his position as Messiah without knowing himself that he is the Messiah. Then he will reveal himself to some Jews, not necessarily to wise Torah scholars. It can be even simple people. Only then he will reveal himself to the whole nation. The people will wonder and say: ‘What, that’s the Messiah?’ Many have known his name but have not believed that he is the Messiah.”

The Messiah needing to use the “media” to “communicate”? The Messiah wont know He’s the Messiah? JESUS will NOT need the “media” to “communicate” when He Returns! Jesus KNOWS full well that He is the Son of God! HE WILL COME IN ALL POWER AND GLORY, AND ALL THE WORLD WILL KNOW WHO HE IS!

Psalm97 1-6
97 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Revelation 19:11-16

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Stephen,

For what its worth, I think this stuff is interesting to watch - and like all "input" I look at it with interest simply because it relates to prophecy in the general sense of news. Others here are pointing out that it is "extra-biblical" so take it with a grain of salt - which I do.

Don't be offended when people disagree with you - it isn't personal.

But you know I'm not going to allow profanity or personal insults etc. Come on - you know that.

Scott said...

No one is picking on you. There is a difference in opinion and people are simply expressing that.

Stephen and Everyone,

In social media today, the moment you hit send, someone will disagree with what has been said. If we are not ready to defend our opinions or do not want to take that on, then we should not post comments.

Further, I read this blog every day and the comments as well, as far as I can tell no one has picked on anyone.

The main thing to remember is this verse.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
New International Version (NIV)

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

In righteousness is the key! We are called by God to gently, lovingly help fellow believers understand what the Bible says when there are misconceptions.

Stephen - I do not speak for everyone and I do not know what their thoughts and hearts are, but I urge you brother, if you are a true follower of Christ, try and take this verse to heart and know that the comments on here are out of love, because Christ told us to. If you feel others comments are wrong, then you have every right to use that verse and teach us, using the the God-Breathed Bible.

This post is only out of love brother.

Matt A

Stephen,

I would also add, I enjoy reading with interest your posts and positions. I agree with all the others upholding the Word of God is our ultimate authority. If these are prophetic words, time will tell and we might be watching from heaven. I personally have seen a lot and do not easily dismiss as God can work through any means He wants and God can not be contained in a box. Stephen, I agree with Matt that nothing has been said here that has not been expressed in love to you. Be blessed that so many care and love you as a brother.

Stephen, study your bible especially the old testament, you can probably make a good argument. Remember God used a donkey to deliver a message!

Matt - thank you, well said.
Stephen (brother in Christ) Since you have addressed me personally, I'll answer you.

I understand that your interoperation of scripture is that we should be able to use scientific methodology to predict certain things concerning prophecy. You (and many others) are most entitled to your beliefs. Because of what Christ said about, "not knowing the day or the hour," I draw the line at calculating/naming specific days, weeks, months-- and that is how I (and many others) interpret scripture-- viewing much of these predictions as extra Biblical (as Scott pointed out).

It's very clear, Stephen, because of your great destain for the stock market, and because of some of your comments in the past, that you've been greatly hurt in some way. It's not the intention of anyone to add to that hurt, but as has been said many times, if anyone's posts are questioned, we should all be able to defend our views in a Christlike/Biblical manner-- without claiming that there is undue "judgment" going on.

Stephen, I have a background in education, even working with gifted/talented children. It's my opinion that you are quite gifted with numbers-- perhaps that's why you take such an interest in the stock market, and perhaps why you find calculating things so very interesting. You do have to realize, however, that many of us find no real correlation between what goes on on Wall Street & the Rapture, or other prophetic events. Some of your comments about "Bulls" are very offensive, because you're talking about real peoole with souls who may, or may not, be Christians. There are people who make $ in the stock market who contribute greatly to Christian causes-- not all are going to Hell.

In summary, if you believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God who died for your sins-- you are a brother in Christ. It's inevitable that we, as brothers & sisters, will have differences in our "other" beliefs beyond the definition of Salvation. Those differences are bound to surface & when they do we have to address them scripturally, and in love. My offer to communicate with you, off this blog, is still there. susdkc@aol.com

Peace brother,
Karalee

Sandra said...

Hi Karalee, I agree with your comments that no one knows the time or the hour of His return for His church...but from that hour I think it can be calculated as spoken in Daniel & Revelations, but this is in regards to the tribulation which we will not be here for. I agree with what you are conveying with Stephen.
Anyways, that is my 2 cents, which is not worth too much!
Be blessed...on a personal note what a wonderful thing to be a grandparent. I have decided that it is true grandchildren should have come first!
Sandra

harnessandleash said...

Sandra
Thanks for clarifying that some of the scriptures certainly do indicate that calculations can be made with reference to specific events "related to" the tribulation. My comments were strictly referencing predicting the Rapture, or calculating specifically when the tribulation will begin. We'll know when it's "at the door," but not when to put it on the calendar. (IMO)

Yes, I've heard most of us make better grandparents than parents, but oh what a mess the family tree would be if the grandkids came first! : )

No one is asking you to change, just communicate in a civil, Christlike way.

You have no idea what some people may be dealing with in their lives so, please don't judge why some of us may take the time to write at length-- the subjects are very important & many are reading.

Has anyone had the experience that when in an arguement, if one person responds calmly and in love, the other person actually becomes more mad? Hardened hearts cannot hear love.

I love that my life is not my own, but it is God's.

Philipians 1:21
To Live is Christ and to die is gain.

Not my life, but Christs!!! Can be a hard vesre to understand, but when you do, it sets you free.

Again, hardened hearts cannot hear love.

I am confused however as you called me out on what I said, which is great as sometimes what we are thinking does not come out right when we type, but I feel then your next post back to Stephen would only annoy and provoke him as well? I mean no disrepect in this comment, it is just a comment and want to know your thoughts sister.

Scott and Stephen,

I am surprised at this "freedom of opinion" stuff as if it is our "right" as believers. I thought we were to speak what edifies and the Truth in love.As Americans it is supposedly our right ( though slipping away),but as believers our very sword is the Word of God not hearsay.

If Stephen can speak of an April date and 2017 date as valid opinion that we should give thought and respect to then what happens to revering God's word and honoring Him in the eyes of the people?
my question is: What happened to the Ezekial War and the destruction of Damascus? How can blood moons totally make a case now for witnesses before then or else?
Stephen, I can see your desire to believe this scenario ( Christ coming soon) but not at the cost of true and humble listening to the Spirit for yourself as expressed when He talks through His Word.
I feel old and weary with watching so this arguing is a colossal discouragement. It seems unreal and unattached to the better discussions of how Scripture relates to what is going on in the world.
"Rights" to opinions seem a distant second to the joy of real fellowship in Him.

Scott said...

I'm not sure what you are saying (maybe because I'm at the end of a long week and my neurons are fried :)

But my "freedom of opinion" thing - may be confused with my lack of 'moderating' comments that I disagree with. I've said this before, but my approach to this board is probably a reflection of my libertarian views in general - and I would hate to start moderating the comments so that all comments can only be made if they are referenced to scripture. I want more freedom on comments (one exception is the previous baiting we had regarding the timing of the rapture. I have different reasons for not having that endless back and forth).

But if people are respectful and not taunting or using profanity - I'm ok with this comment section discussing many things in the news - even if it isn't chapter and verse scriptural based,

For instance, I post a lot of news about US positions on various things (military, police-state, finances etc) - which don't have strict ties to prophecy - yet they are interesting and do have tangential ties to prophecy

The story of the Rabbi who found Jesus and believes that Sharon;s death was a certain kind of sign is both pertinent and interesting - even though I personally don't take much stock in non-biblical "prophecy" - I find it interesting and worthy of discussion.

That doesn't mean that I endorse or believe such views - but to ignore it would be too obvious of an omission. Same with St Malachy's prophecy on the Popes. Its very much in the news - it is under discussion by a LOT of people - and, IMO, it would make the blog incomplete by ignoring it.

Same with using Debka. Same with Prison Planet. A lot of people don't think I should use such links - but again, I try to treat the readers here as adults and let them decide the role of the various news stories and how they may tie into prophecy.

I may not be explaining this adequately.....

Waterer said...

It's your blog Scott and your call. We appreciate your hard work and that you treat us like adults (in spite of ourselves).
My point was that there seems to be a point to your blog with the fulfillment of the Scriptural signs.
You bring many sources letting us read and see if there is the connection you are seeing. The monitoring thing is the hard part and I can see that both time wise and because of your views on free speech.
My point was not that chapter and verse has to document everything. Not at all. But we have a responsibility Biblically to speak out when someone is touting their viewpoint in an absolutely
wrong way according to the signs we are to be obedient to be on the watch for.
NONE of us has anyway of knowing about someone else's conversion. I hope this Rabbi converted. But the link to the coming of His kingdom because of hidden notes is like right out of the National Inquirer. How does this relate to the serious news of Mid east and far East Build up to the fulfillment of the signs that still have not been fulfilled. This opinion HIDES those signs.
This is NOT a matter of opinion. It is fact.
April 13, 2017. Very confusing.

I think for me sadly , I am just going to skip anything Stephen writes because they are red herring arguments that undress the truth. Rabbit trails. I would rather not but it has become a choice of keeping my eye on the ball .

Scott said...

Hmmm...I guess the difference lies in the importance of the 'comment section'. Most of the sites I go to and/or the articles I read have comments sections. I always take the comment section with a grain of salt.

In other words, I personally don;t ever link what is said in the comments section to the article itself, or he commentary itself. I hate to say it, but when I go to other sites, I don't take the comments section very seriously at all. I actually read comments because sometimes people post other links that are of value, or sometimes, in political commentary I like to see what the "pulse" is in terms of popular belief.

But my reading of comments doesn't in any way influence my feelings towards what was said in the article or what the author was trying to coney.

In short, (appropriately or not) - I "de-link" the comments section from the article.

If someone came on here and wanted to talk about hurricanes as an end times "sign" (I don't believe hurricanes, per say, are listed as a "sign". IMO Luke 21:25 is a tribulation event, but I digress)...So even if I don't believe that the scriptures dictate that "hurricanes" are a sign - I wouldn't delete someone posting on hurricanes. People could then say "I don't think hurricanes are a sign" - with resulting discussion etc....I don't have a problem with that.

The bottom line is - and perhaps the difference in opinion is - the lack of importance/significance that I place on the comments section.

Maybe I should have a disclaimer that the things stated in the comments section are not a reflection of the blog itself etc....That may be a solution

To add one more thing which is also germane - I don't have time to monitor the comments and make appropriate 'corrections' to what different people say.

In this case, for instance, there has been a lot of discussion on Stephen's point of view and I just don't have time to track down every comment and make counter-statements in line with scriptures. That would probably be the best way, but I just can't do it.

At the end of the day, (and where I always go full circle) - I am left with no comments section at all - or one that I can loosely monitor according to how much time I have to do it.

I have actually seriously considered just not doing the comments section at all. Its funny to see what Ann Barnhardt says about this..., but I've grown accustomed to this little community of prophecy watchers and I would hate to shut down the comments :)

I would hate to lose this little family too.
I get your points Scott. Truly. I am just weary because so few actually watch at all and then there s battle for those who do. It makes it hard to hold onto the essentials.
Sorry to take so much time in talking about this.
You do an amazing work on our behalf.
It would be helpful to reread your book for me. I need a fresh view of the blueprint again. I will get it off my shelf and go at it again. Many thanks.

Scott,

Don't change what you do because of opinionated argumentation. You had a specific intent with this blog....stay that course...now with that being said, is Stephen an idiot because he has a strong opinion about the stock market, a rabbi, and the rapture? Am I a mass murderer because of the many people I have killed by way of my combat duties in the military? I dont think so, Some people may say yes. The thing is...that is their perogative to think and say what ever they wish, as long as it doesn't violate your rules. I have to say that I agree with someone who said they would choose to skip over reading the comments from people they don't agree with. That is their perogative. And yes, there is a lot of pushing and shoving here. Some days I ignore it, some days I don't, depending on the level of PTSD I'm dealing with. The bottom line for everybody here to remember is....there is no one righteous...not one. Coming to Scott's blog is a matter of free will. We can all agree to disagree. And Stephen, I only argue with my friends, those I don't like I don't even acknowledge. So if I harass you about something...its because I like you......

No problem at all - its good to have an opportunity to rethink some of these things.

Basically, as I've always said, my 'assignment' seems to be simply pointing to the prophetic scriptures and pointing to the pertinent news of the day. Its not a big deal - thanks a lot, but I'd be reading these articles anyway:) Now I just post the links to what I'm already reading; just one more step.

There is another really good book that consolidates everything succinctly...I have to dig it up - I believe its Pentecost's.

Don't forget - it is a struggle to be watching, As said in Revelation 3:10

"Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world..."

2 Timothy 7

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now is in store for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearing."
