The Daily Bell has an interesting article on the potential of a North American Union (NAU) and how this concept ties into "immigration reform".
From a prophetic perspective, there are several points worth considering:
- For years, prophecy watchers have pondered what exactly the biblical "10 kings" (Daniel 7, Revelation 17, etc) will consist of. The theories range from a powerful grouping of 10 leaders/countries within the EU (whether now, or from a future outgrowth of the EU), the EU Council, or perhaps a world-wide enlargement based on the concepts of the EU, in which case the world would be divided into 10 regions with each region having a "king", all of whom would serve their ultimate leader, the antichrist.
- If indeed, the world were divided into 10 regions (interestingly, the main EU site already seems to have divided the world into 10 regions, see here,), then it would make sense to see a NAU as one of the 10.
- When the dollar collapses (and it will, probably sooner rather than later), it is an interesting concept to consider the possibility of a new currency based upon a newly formed NAU - which may be the only solution for a fallen U.S. dollar. In fact, this aspect could represent part of a larger plan in play.
So suffice it to say - there are several prophetic implications to a North American Union.
Additionally, the concept of a coming North American Union could explain the current obsession with 'immigration reform' - as a relative lack of borders and a melding of the population may simply be the first step as suggested below.
That takes us to the Daily Bell's article today:
