Passover's Gift: The Promised and Undivided Land

There are two excellent commentaries today from Canada Free Press - and both are well worth reading:

Passover's Gift

Millions, perhaps billions, of the world’s population do not know the meaning of the towering festival of freedom and liberty known as Passover; a festival recognizing an event that has blessed the world for some 3,300 years.

The festival begins on April 18th of this year and always on the 15th day of the Jewish month of Nissan. Jews and Christians know from the Bible the story of the Exodus and of the salvation of the Jewish people from centuries of slavery under the Egyptian pharaohs: This creation and deliverance of an entire nation.

Such a seminal event in humanity’s history became the foundation for freedom and liberty

The long suffering Jews under Egyptian bondage were led to freedom by the Jewish prophet, Moses, who brought them to their own very special and promised Land of Israel.

Passover (Pesach in Hebrew) is the first of the Jewish holidays and festivals, coinciding with the coming of the Spring in the Jewish people’s ancestral, biblical and native land: the land given by God in an everlasting Covenant to the Jewish people; a land extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and including Gilead (the possession of the tribes of Manasseh, Gad and Reuben) east of the river, in the present day Arab state of Jordan.

That's past history. What about this current generation? How is the current generation treating the Nation of Israel?

But there is an evil in men’s hearts, and it is a profound evil, for those who hate and envy this Jewish gift to humanity and its message of freedom, liberty and foundational democracy.

They have chosen since time immemorial to rise up to destroy all that it stands for and persecute those – the Jews – who received it from God and who have shared it with all humanity.

We all know about the Holocaust, but history contains many many additional examples of the evil lurking in man's heart and as always, directed against the Nation of Israel:

Let me recount what Mary Antin wrote in 1911about the horrors inflicted upon the Jews in Russia as they celebrated the festival of liberty in the Exodus story during the festive Seder meal. Ms. Antin wrote of what routinely took place at Passover and of how Russian neighbors reminded the Jews that for them it was another Egypt:

“… in Russian cities and even more in country districts, where Jewish families lived scattered, the stupid peasants would hear lies about the Jews, fill themselves with vodka, and set out to kill their Jewish neighbors.
“They attacked them with knives and clubs and scythes and axes, killed them or tortured them and burned their houses. This was called a pogrom.

“Jews who escaped the pogroms came with wounds on them and horrible, horrible, stories of little babies torn limb from limb before their mother’s eyes. Only to hear these things made one sob and sob and choke with pain.
“People who saw such things never smiled any more, no matter how long they lived and sometimes their hair turned white in a day and others went insane.”

Is this example that much different that what we see today?

Just recently, a family in the Jewish Israeli village of Itamar, in biblical and ancestral Samaria, was slaughtered by Arab Muslims whose tracks led back to a nearby Arab settlement. The members of the Fogel family were sleeping in their tiny home on the Sabbath when a Palestinian murderer entered and knifed to death the father, mother, and three children, including a little baby girl only three months old.

Mary Antin spoke about unspeakable horrors inflicted on Jewish families in Russia; atrocities which had been repeated time after time throughout Europe and the Islamic world for 2,000 years or so.

The following paragraph really characterizes the state of affairs in today's world:

What nation would accept such Arab and Muslim barbarity and withstand so many Palestinian crimes against its civilian Jewish population – and still hope for peace? What nation would continue, despite the rain of thousands of missiles launched from Hamas occupied Gaza upon Israeli women and children, to hold out the hand of peace to a people who display such cruelty and human rights abuses? What nation, after seeing the horror in the Fogel home, would still harbor hopes of a peaceful Palestinian state living side by side with Israel? What people would still entertain the insanity of dividing up the tiny land under the fatal rubric of a “two-state-solution?”

Just a couple of more quotes from this highly germane article (and yes, its worth reading in its entirety):

As Passover approaches, again there are insistent reports that Hamas, the branch of the Muslim Brotherhood that occupies the Gaza Strip and ceaselessly calls for the extermination of the Jewish state, plans new atrocities against the embattled people of Israel during the Passover. Remember the words: In every generation.

So we approach the Passover festival, which brings light and blessings to all humanity but which also brings the maniacal threats of genocide against the Jewish people by those who would unleash unutterable terror and who, like the evil Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, spew hideous ravings and shameless libels against the ever suffering Jews.

And it would not go amiss to remind the increasingly Godless European Union of Passover’s gift to the Jewish people: The promised and undivided land.

Oh, and by the way, for centuries Jews have uttered a prayer at the conclusion of the Passover meal. In Hebrew it is L’Shanah HaBa’ah B’Yerushalayim. In English it means, “Next year may we be in Jerusalem,” the 3,000 year old eternal capital of the Jewish people.

But in the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century the world, through the hateful two-state-solution, is forcing Jerusalem to again be divided by a wall of concrete and Arab hate. Those who call themselves Palestinians demand the eastern half of the city and the ancient Jewish prayer at Passover may become a bitter and tragic joke.

Worshipers will be forced into saying, “Next year in West Jerusalem.”

In a related article, we see this:

A Revolting Middle East Policy

In the last three months we played a role in overthrowing nearly every Middle Eastern government we were allied with—that wasn’t supporting terrorism.

We pushed out Ben Ali in Tunisia, but let the Saudis move tanks into Bahrain. Egypt’s Mubarak was a monster who had to go, but Syria’s Assad is a reformer. Now Yemen’s Saleh who let us hunt terrorists in his country is on our hit list, but the Qatari royal family which is linked to Al-Qaeda and finances Al-Jazeera are our best friends. Gaddafi who cut a deal to give up his nukes got bombed, Iran which is pushing hard for a nuclear bomb has clear skies.

Middle Eastern leaders who support and finance terrorists got a pass, but our own allies in the War on Terror got creamed.

Iran, Syria and the Gulf Arab states who are responsible for most of the terrorism against us have nothing to worry about. Saleh and Mubarak who aided the War on Terror got shown the door.

This is the sad reality - however, we must assume its part of God's overall plan in these last days. There is come comfort to be gained from that fact.

The ‘revolutions’ have targeted North Africa. Half of North Africa has either has either been wholly or partly overthrown. Morocco and Algeria are the sole holdouts. If the Brotherhood takes Egypt then they won’t be holding out for long. And then there will be a Caliphate within striking distance of Southern Europe.

Not to mention the fact that northern Africa will be part of the "Gog-MaGog" coalition who will attack Israel. Probably sooner rather than later, as the saying goes.

We're already seeing the vast changes in the region due to Egypt's turmoil alone:

El Baradei is vowing war with Israel. Mahmoud Salem, aka Sandmonkey, the favorite Egyptian activist of so many neo-conservative bloggers, is encouraging Egyptians to support El Baradei over Amr Moussa, by tweeting that Amr Moussa is a Yankee-Zionist puppet and El Baradei is the only man Israel is afraid of.

Baradei is the darling of the same pundits and politicians who denounce nationalist Israeli candidates as extremists. Yet no Israeli party runs on a platform of war with Egypt.

The Middle East is a region that is JUST on the brink.

On the brink of what?

On the brink of finally reaching a tipping point - a tipping point which will lead to the last wars in the region - and at least one war in which God will reveal Himself when Israel sits on the brink of destruction - surrounded by a massive coalition of invaders who are sworn to destroy the tiny country.

We have some BIG events pending in the Middle East, and we watch and wait for these events to transpire - as the build-up continues.

It could be any day now. And when it begins, the remaining prophetic events will cascade rapidly and will roll out exactly as described in the prophetic scriptures - scriptures which have also revealed that the "gathering up" of the bride will occur.

Our time is almost upon us - its time to prepare to meet with Jesus.

Scott those first two articles were really eye openers. Unfortunately they shot my blood pressure through the roof! This world is so evil.

You pulled it altogether at the end with some encouraging words regarding our soon home going. It just can't be soon enough for me. I am trying to wait patiently.

Ethiopia to defy Egypt and build huge Nile dam
Published: 03.30.11, 19:11 / Israel News

Ethiopia on Wednesday said it planned to build a huge dam on the Nile despite a long-running row with Egypt over use of the river and concern the dispute may spark a war. The nine countries through which the river passes have for more than a decade been locked in often bitter talks to renegotiate colonial-era treaties that gave Egypt and Sudan the lion's share of the river's waters...

Strasbourg Plenary 4-7 April: nuclear, immigration, economic governance
Reviewing EU policy on its Southern neighbours

In the light of the "Arab revolutions" in Tunisia and Egypt, the conflict in Libya and protests in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain the EU's European Neighbourhood Policy, launched in 2004, with the aim of strengthening prosperity, stability and security at EU borders, is taking on new significance. MEPs will review the policy Wednesday, looking at what the EU's role should be and how it can help the emerging democracies...Mr David is optimistic: "I am afraid that some states, on both shores of the Mediterranean, do not yet fully understand the advantages of this model. But they will, and soon".

Rabbi calls for sacrifice on Temple Mount
Kobi Nahshoni Published: 04.05.11, 15:01 / Israel Jewish Scene

The annual attempts to resume the Passover sacrifice received a first significant rabbinical backing recently. Safed's Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, a prominent religious Zionism leader, has called on the public to perform the sacrifice mitzvah on the eve of the Jewish holiday, in about two weeks...

wow this is a lot for one day, isn't it? and not that this really matters biblically but Fox just fired Glen Beck. So Soros gets his way again! These nwo guys are tearing it up this week between the ignorant comments about the bible being written by man and the koran being God's inspired word, the deliberate media smear on Irael, and now Beck firing. I got a feeling that a lot of Christians have given up praying hard for help down here and have gone to praying for Jesus to HURRY UP! We want to go home! -Ally

When I went to close my curtains earlier this evening, the crescent moon was just appearing over the trees. For all the world, it looked like the horns of a great bull. Jesus made the moon, and its beautiful, but man has made it an object of worship such as Baal

It occurred to me that when the moon is in that 'horned' phase, is that when Islam will begin its 'charge' against Israel? I wonder if the moon is ever horned on the 11th of one month this year?

Actually, wasn't it the 7th of the 7th when they bombed the London tube and bus? Tomorrow is the 7th!!!!!

My new diary doesn't have the phases like my old one.

Crumbs, I am sounding like Madam ZaZa. Bed time!

Paraphrasing the comment above by Anonymous, "The ruler of this world is so evil."

Folks, we are not going to experience the WRATH OF GOD but we will experience a TRIBULATION period. We are in it NOW. Yes, pray earnestly for the soon return of our Saviour but BE READY for tribulation.

Have we seen the REVEALING of the son of lawlessness, the son of destruction? Read, the entire chapter of 2 Thessalonians 2. "The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LOVE THE TRUTH AND SO BE SAVED. Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned WHO DID NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

Have the 7 thunderclaps been heard? Read the Angel and the Little Scroll, in Revelation 10, "And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down." And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, but that in the days of the trumpet call to be sounded by the seventh angel, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets." Now, pay attention to verse 9, "So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, "Take and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." And I took the little scroll from the hand of the angel and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it my stomach was made bitter."

The words spoken by the 'mighty angel' (FALLEN ANGEL?) will be sweet as honey but in the end will be bitter. So a 'mightly angel' speaks pleasing words but in the end they are revealed as BITTER LIES.

All the world will experience a TRIBULATION period! Including America. WAKE UP, it is coming. We can fill our lamps with OIL while there is still time.

Do a Google search and read about the widespread persecution of your brothers and sisters. PRAY for your afflicted brothers and sisters throughout the world and bear their burdens!

Nidster: In reply to your first post in “World Divided”.

Nidster: “…Soros is preparing to crash the world's economic system”.
Sue: Ah! So therefore do you suppose Soros is the antichrist? If he is, then can you tell us the name of the seven year Covenant he has made with an Israeli majority vote? What are the names of the Two Witnesses? (I haven’t seen them on the tv yet?) What has Elijah been saying? How are the 144,000 servants of God getting on?

Nidster: “…So, brothers and sisters can we move beyond self-imposed time limits…”

Sue: Well Nidster, the ‘time limits’ are imposed UPON us by Jesus. That’s so we will know if we are being deceived! You are so right, it’s just as Jesus said ‘in this world you will have Tribulation’. The only problem is there is no definite article that defines it as THE Tribulation spoken to Daniel concerning the 70th Week. Dan9;24. Why do a Google to find our brethren in Tribulation? Most of us here have been experiencing Tribulation for MANY decades

Nidster: “… "Children, it is the last hour,
Many antichrists have come and it has been many centuries since John wrote that letter to the Church. So, the Church is in the "LAST HOUR".

Sue: Indeed, the Church has been in the ‘last hour’ since the days of the Apostles. That’s why Paul had to encourage the Thessalonians, because of the apostasy of those who were fraudulently signing letters in the names of the Apostles saying they were in the Tribulation – Paul told them to ignore you because they/we know from The Word what to expect.

Part 2

Nidster: “…2 Thessalonians 2…”

Sue: Apostasia means ‘departure’, it’s after THE Departure (definite article) that A/c is revealed when The Holy Spirit ceases to restrain lawlessness. 2Thess2:6. That’s when Jesus breaks the first seal and the white horse and rider takes peace from the earth in Rev6:1. And when A/c breaks the Covenant in the midst of the seven Dan9:27. The world is in a mess, but it is STILL being restrained, law and order are still functioning – try chucking a brick through a plate glass window and see if you don’t get nicked! Anarchy broke out in London recently, we’re softies, but the Police soon nabbed the lot of em and they are all up before the Beak in the name of ‘law and order’. They cleaned up the mess and peace is restored. The Restrainer is still restraining! Out of interest ‘THE Rebellion’ is defined as when Satan took a swing at God.

Nidster: “What did Peter say about 'the Day of the Lord'? 2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed”.

Sue: THE Day of the Lord WILL come like a thief, the sudden, imminent Rapture; *The* Departure of the Church with Jesus, THE Tribulation starts – followed by the 1000 yrs Messianic Kingdom (still in the ‘day of the Lord’) then final rebellion when Satan is loosed for a short season, AND THEN the heavens and the earth are destroyed – Enter stage left, New heavens New earth, New Jerusalem = the Eternal State. Revelation 19-22. Read in Context 2 Peter 3:1-18.
Nidster: “…Christ taught us about the TRIBULATION, Matthew 24 "21…”
Sue: Matt.24 Yes! That is *THE* Tribulation and the 2nd Coming WITH the Church, His Body (every head needs a body) coming out of heaven down onto the earth.

Nidster: “…So, immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days...he will send out his angels, and they will gather his elect from the four winds.

Sue: Yes again, to gather His ELECT from the four winds. The Elect/saints is used to refer to ALL God’s people whether it be Old Testament saints, the Church, the Tribulation Saints, Angels – even Jesus Himself, are ALL God’s Elect.

Only CONTEXT reveals which Elect He is referring to. Obviously this isn’t The Church Elect, because they are already in white robes (righteousness) AND wearing gold crowns meaning they have already been judged and rewarded at the Bema in heaven.

In this context it refers to the angels gathering every surviving Jew from all over the earth AND the resurrected Old Testament Saints from heaven, to bring them into their promised land of Greater Israel. This is the prophesied final restoration of Israel. See Isaiah 27:12-13; Deut30:4; also Is.11:11,12; 12:6; 43:5-7; Jer.23:5-8; 31:7-14; Ezek.11:16-21; 20:40-42; 36:22-31, etc;etc; which is the return to Israel in BELIEF after the 2nd Coming of their Messiah Yeshua.

Expected Imminently said...

Part 3

Nidster: Simply because America has not yet undergone great TRIBULATION does not mean the Church is not in TRIBULATION. Do a Google search my brothers and sisters and you will understand the Church is still in the LAST HOUR.

Sue: Can’t speak for America; but we sure as eggs is eggs have had plenty of Tribulation this side of the Pond. Google, noodle—don’t need it, its been the last hour for 2000 + years. THE Tribulation is still future(not long though)

Nidster: “Expected Imminently wrote, "things that have always been in The Word – but I am suddenly quickened to see verses as if for the first time." Many brothers and sisters have been expressing the very same thought. This is evidence the Church is in a time of great revelation”.

Sue: The Church is a part of the Revelation sealed tight within the Canon of revealed Scripture. There is no ‘new’ Revelation; only ‘illumination’ by The Holy Spirit as He spotlights written Scripture. Then there is CONTEXT; what is highlighted must be understood within the WHOLE council of God, not with the allegorical meanderings of many minds. We are to have the mind of Christ; ours must be curtailed to link into what is written in Scripture.

There may be time to repent Nidster; get the blessed hope of the imminent Rapture prior to the ‘Day of Jacob’s Trouble’. There is a reward given for that hope at the Bema; then you will have something extra to throw at the feet of Jesus when EVERY knee shall bow and confess Jesus Christ IS Lord. That’s the ONLY thing we can do for Him in thanks for what He has done for us. Please don’t deny Him that important gesture of Faith and worship. Rev.4:10. Romans 14:11.

Rev.3-5 Just as Jesus is symbolised as a once slain Lamb so the 24 Elders are symbols of the Church already IN heaven BEFORE Jesus breaks the first seal in Rev6:1. Rev.3:10,11. The Letters are in PRESENT tense, and applies to them, and us now, until the Church is complete and He comes to take us home imminently.

If Jesus is coming as a thief to rapture the church can someone please explain to me Revelation 16:15 where Jesus repeats this at the time of Armageddon? Need Help please.

Expected Imminently said...

Hello Anonymous

Sorry it’s me again; I have just returned home from a break and see no-one has answered you yet.

As usual it is down to context and has nothing to do with the rapture of the Church.

Revelation 16:15. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

The context is the final vial or bowl judgements at the end of the sixth bowl. With the soon out-pouring of the 7th bowl is Armageddon, with the gathering of A/c and his army.

This is encouragement to the surviving Tribulation saints to keep the Faith; do not lose heart in the midst of the horrors because Jesus is coming as a thief, to literally embezzle Satan from his rule over earth and fallen man and put a final end to The Tribulation and Gentile rule forever.

God bless

Remember there is more to the thief than His ‘sudden’ arrival.

John10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Jesus is also coming to destroy in judgment during the Tribulation!

Rev16:15 is also in parenthesis; it’s a look back past the Tribulation details to encourage present readers to remember that we too will lose out at the Bema Seat if we don’t keep SELF in check! All our fleshly works will be burned up in the fire, and we shall suffer the loss of potential rewards.

Keep your eyes upon Jesus and keep, keeping on in the Faith!
Look up!
