The Kremlin has warned Britain not to allow Ukraine to use Britain's Storm Shadow missiles to hit Russia.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia "will respond" if Britain allows Ukraine to strike Russian soil with British weapons.

As Bloomberg reported, newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hinted that Ukraine might use Britain's Storm Shadow missiles to strike military targets inside Russia, and Peskov commented that doing so would constitute an irresponsible escalation.

According to the Kremlin, the Russian military is working to create a "neutral zone" in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, but this will take time.

In May, President Vladimir Putin said Russia was creating such a zone to protect its border areas from Ukrainian attacks.

Commenting on Narendra Modi's visit to Russia, Peskov denied that there were disagreements between President Vladimir Putin and the Indian prime minister during their talks in Moscow this week.

Modi indirectly rebuked Putin yesterday, a day after the deadly Russian strike on a pediatric clinic in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, when he called the death of innocent children "painful and horrifying".

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the decision to cancel scheduled talks between the Russian and Indian delegations was made for scheduling reasons and because the entire agenda had been covered.

"This has absolutely nothing to do with any disagreements or problematic situations ," Peskov commented.
