Washington's Iran Nuke-Deal Negotiators Quitting Over Biden's Appeasement To Nuclear Iran

WASHINGTON’S IRAN NUKE-DEAL NEGOTIATOR QUIT OVER BIDEN’S OVER-EAGERNESS TO APPEASE A NUCLEAR TEHRAN

You know that things are bad when the champion of Obama’s 2015 Iran Nuclear deal has quit along with two other diplomats have quit the current team negotiating Iran’s nuclear deal reports the NY Post.

Two American officials who were involved in the negotiations to renew the 2015 Iran nuclear deal have stepped away from the discussions. A third diplomat has resigned from the team altogether following internal conflict over how steadfast Washington should be with Iran, according to a report.

State Department’s deputy special envoy for Iran Richard Nephew, who favored a tougher approach, has not taken part of the discussions in Austria since December, WSJ reported on Monday. A State Department spokesman said to Reuters on Monday that Nephew was no longer an envoy. However, he was still working in the department.

Two other members of the negotiating team also stepped away from the talks because they also pushed for a tougher stance via-s-vis Iran, according to WSJ.

Issues included the enforcement of already existing sanctions and if to end negotiations as Tehran continues to progress its nuclear program, the report said, citing people familiar with the discussions.
