Norway: Dozens Die After Receiving COVID Vaccine

Health authorities in Norway confirmed Saturday that 23 people died within days of receiving their first dose of Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine.

At least thirteen of the 23 deaths, all nursing home patients, were a direct result of side effects from the shot, officials suggested.

“The reports suggest that common adverse reactions to mRNA vaccines, such as fever and nausea, may have contributed to a fatal outcome in some frail patients,” warned Sigurd Hortemo, chief physician at the Norwegian Medicines Agency (NMA)

In a statement obtained by Worthy News, the NMA said, “As of 14 January, 23 reports of suspected deaths have been submitted to the Norwegian [Adverse Drug Reaction] ADR health registry”.

It added that the figures “include the thirteen reports that have been assessed by the Norwegian Medicines Agency and the National Institute of Public Health. Several reports of suspected adverse reactions are received on a daily basis and are continuously assessed.”

The NMA added that the death toll underscored concerns that the large trials to roll out the vaccine included few participants over 85 years of age.
