Mysterious rumbling in Florida, loud booms in North Carolina and Ohio – What’s up with all these skyquakes rattling people nerves in the US?

2021 has already started off with a big Boom! Loud booming noises have been heard in several counties of North carolina, Kentucky and Ohio.

Meanwhile a mysterious rumbling was felt across South Florida around 1pm on January 15, 2021, with calls and messages came in from Weston, Sunrise, Plantation, Margate, Tamarac, West Kendall, Doral, Pinecrest, and the Florida Keys.

What was that shaking Friday afternoon, South Florida? 

It was felt from north Broward County all the way down to the Keys and made residents wonder if there might have been an earthquake or sonic boom.However, the cause of the mysterious rumble is still unknown.

The USGS said it wasn’t an earthquake. However, an strong M5.9 quake hit Guatemala approximately at the same time… Could it be the cause?

Loud booming noises across North Carolina

Thousands of people reported hearing loud booms late Saturday afternoon, Jan. 2nd, and officials still have no explanation for the mysterious noises.

The witnesses reported hearing and feeling the explosion across Forsyth, Yadkin, Stokes, Davie, Rockingham, and Surry counties.

The U.S. Geological Survey did not detect any earthquakes in the Southeastern United States over the last 24 hours.

There were no significant weather events, such as thunder or lightning, near the area around the time that the booms were reported Saturday afternoon.

However, Saturday did have significant “temperature inversion,” which Leins said could cause sound to travel farther.

In recent days, similar “boom” noises have been reported in western Kentucky.

Sonic boom in Ohio

A loud boom was heard around 2 pm on January 4, 2021 and shook some houses and residents throughout Pickaway county, East Fairfield county and Northern Ross county.

Local authorities have nothing to report on the incident, but think the explosive noise was related to a military jet going sonic, since several military planes had been spotted over the area. – Scioto Post
