UPDATED: Rumors Of War: Mosques In Iran Raise Red Flag Of Vengeance And War

Red Flag Of Jihad Raised As 1000s Mourn Death Of Suleimani In Baghdad

In what many middle east experts are calling an "ominous" signal to the west following the assassination of the commander of IRGC’s Quds Force General Qassem Soleimani, a red flag has been hoisted over the holy mosque of Jamkaran in Qom, Iran's holiest city.

The flag is almost always blue, but according to old Iranian traditions in ancient wars red flags were raised when the enemy commits murder and will remain red until revenge is complete.

Al Manar TV reports that the red flag was raised as speakers in the mosque called: “O Allah, hasten your custodian reappearance,” referring to the reappearance of Imam Al-Mahdi.
The flying of the so-called "flag of jidah" is particularly noteworthy given Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei comments that Soleimani was now a "worldwide resistance icon," and Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah described Soleimani as the "master of Resistance Axis martyrs," stressing that avenging him and the other martyrs is a duty of all resistance mujahidin around the world.
Meanwhile, AP reports that thousands of mourners chanting “America is the Great Satan” marched in a funeral procession Saturday through Baghdad, a day before the top Iranian commander will be laid to rest in Iran.

The mourners, mostly men in black military fatigues, carried Iraqi flags and the flags of Iran-backed militias that are fiercely loyal to Soleimani. They were also mourning Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a senior Iraqi militia commander who was killed in the same strike.
The mourners, many of them in tears, chanted:
“No, No, America,” and “Death to America, death to Israel.”

IRAN has issued a terrifying warning to the US as it raised a red flag over the Holy Dome Jamkarān Mosque as a symbol of a severe battle to come.

Iran and US tensions are at an all-time high following the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani by Washington in an airstrike. Global leaders have begun assessing the magnitude of the situation with many holding fears of World War 3 and destabilisation of the Middle East. For the first time in the history of Iran, a red flag was raised over the Holy Dome of Jamkarān Mosque symbolising a severe battle to come. The disturbing war flag reads the words: "Those who want to avenge the blood of Hussein."

Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Imam Sayyed on Friday vowed “severe revenge” in response to the killing of Soleimani.
Iranian official including the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the Islamic Republic will take revenge for the commander and others killed.
The airstrike occurred early on Friday at Baghdad international airport and killed the Iranian commander in well as other Iraqi commanders.
International relation scholars have argued that this could see further escalation and ultimately all-out war.

For the first time in Modern history, mosques in Iran have raised the Red Flag of Doom; the flag of Blood and Severe Battle ahead. This is the first time in modern history the flags have been raised outside of a specific Memorial Day. The image above shows the flag being raised over the Dome Of Jamkarān Mosque, Qom Iran.
It's official: war is coming between Iran and the USA.  There's no doubt now.  They will attack us over the killing of their General, Qasem Sulaimani.
Prepare.
The flag refers to a Shia martyr Husayn, grandson of the prophet, who was beheaded and along with his family defeated at battle of Karbala. It took 5 years to wreak vengeance on Husayn's enemy, Yazid. The flag means vengeance may take time but it will be inevitable and sure.
The red flag reads: “Ya Ila Thirat al Hussein”, roughly translating to “O’ the avengers of Hussein.” Shi‘a tradition maintains that the slogan surfaced during the subsequent uprising for the vengeance of Hussein’s martyrdom in the 7th century, an effort that continued for 5 years.

The President of Iran has appointed a successor to the slain General Qasem Sulaimani:  Esmail Ghaani
Esmail Ghaani is a long-time associate – and friend – of his predecessor.

A new Iranian general has stepped out of the shadows to lead the country’s expeditionary Quds Force, becoming responsible for Tehran’s proxies across the Middle East as the Islamic Republic threatens the US with “harsh revenge” for killing its previous head Qassem Soleimani.

The Quds Force is part of the 125,000-strong Revolutionary Guard, a paramilitary organisation that answers only to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
While much still remains unknown about Ghaani, 62, Western sanctions suggest he has long been in a position of power in the organization.

One of his first duties is likely to be overseeing whatever revenge Iran intends to seek for the US air strike early on Friday that killed his friend Soleimani.

According to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, Ghaani once said of his relationship with Soleimani: “We are children of war. We are comrades on the battlefield and we have become friends in battle.”

A senior military official in Iran threatened an attack on some 35 “American targets,” including “destroyers and warships” near the Persian Gulf Friday night, promising to seek revenge for the killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, according to a report.

The latest threat against the U.S. came late Friday night from senior Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Gholamali Abuhamzeh, a day after top Iranian military general Soleimani was wiped out by an airstrike at Baghdad International Airport.

Abuhamzeh, commander of the Revolutionary Guards in the southern province of Kerman, foreshadowed a possible attack on “vital American targets” located in the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation of Soleimani’s death.

An alert brigade of roughly 4,000 paratroopers, known as the DRB – the Division Ready Brigade – had been told to pack their bags for a possible deployment in the days ahead, after hundreds of Iranian-backed militiamen tried to storm the U.S. embassy in Baghdad Tuesday.
