King Of Saudi Arabia To Step Down

UK Report: King of Saudi Arabia to Step Down

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud, age 81, is planning to step down next week and announce 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as his successor, according to an exclusive report by the UK’s Daily, citing a source close to the Saudi royal family.
“Unless something dramatic happens, King Salman will announce the appointment of [the Crown Prince] as King of Saudi Arabia next week,” the source told the Daily Mail.
According to the source, once crowned as monarch, Mohammed will focus on Iran, and allegedly hopes to enlist Israel’s aid in dealing with its Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah. “Plan B is to fight Hezbollah in Syria” if Israel does not agree to start a conflict with the guerrilla group in Lebanon.
