Darkness Descends

Matthew 7:15-20

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."

Take a step back and look at the big picture. Sometimes seemingly small things serve as symbolism and we can see this in the first story. It tells you all you need to know about what is coming.

The prophetic scriptures tell us that the Tribulation will unfold the most massive and draconian form of persecution that the world has ever seen, and we are seeing this darkness enveloping us in a step-wise manner.

The details in the story below are very revealing. This move by the current administration is completely unnecessary - but as they say - "never let a crisis go to waste" - you must look at this action by our government and question "why?". Why would they do this? The answers are frightening. But the question is unavoidable.  The significance of these ongoing attacks against Christians cannot be marginalized:

In a stunning development, some military priests are facing arrest if they celebrate mass or practice their faith on military bases during the federal government shutdown.

“With the government shutdown, many [government service] and contract priests who minister to Catholics on military bases worldwide are not permitted to work – not even to volunteer,” wrote John Schlageter, the general counsel for the Archdiocese for the Military Services USA, inan op-ed this week. “During the shutdown, it is illegal for them to minister on base and they risk being arrested if they attempt to do so.”

According to its website, the Archdiocese for the Military Services “provides the Catholic Church’s full range of pastoral ministries and spiritual services to those in the United States Armed Forces.”

In his piece, Schlageter worries about this restriction as Sunday nears. “If the government shutdown continues through the weekend, there will be no Catholic priest to celebrate Mass this Sunday in the chapels at some U.S. military installations where non-active-duty priests serve as government contractors,” he wrote.

Because of the lack of active-duty Catholic chaplains, the military relies on hiring civilian priests to serve as government service and contract ministers. Those civilian priests are not allowed on the bases during a shutdown, Schlageter wrote.

One Republican lawmaker on the House Intelligence Committee told The Daily Caller on Friday that this “crosses a constitutional line.”

Added Pompeo: “The President’s strategy during the slowdown, just as during the sequestration, is to create as much pain as possible. However, this action crosses a constitutional line of obstructing every U.S. service member’s ability to practice his or her religion.”

I want to see it happen, don't you? Hauling a priest off the altar in the middle of a mass because some bureaucrat was told to make 'em howl.

Just the idea of making it illegal for a priest to minister to his flock is about as chilling as it gets. I doubt whether there are any of these contracted priests who wouldn't say mass for free, thus obviating the necessity of shutting down their services. The only reason then, for this gross violation of religious freedom is that someone wants to inflict unnecessary pain on our servicemen simply to make the point that shutting down the government is a bad, bad thing.

Since the government shutdown began, we’ve seen the National Park Service do a few eyebrow-raising things. It’s attempted to close a World War II memorial and even parking lots for a privately funded historical site, along with other questionable actions.
Now the NPS says it’s been forced to close…scenic overlooks.

In other words, if you feel the nudge to stop on the George Washington Parkway and pull into one of those small cutouts with a handful of spaces so you can admire the natural beauty around you and rest for a spell, you’re out of luck.

But as PJ Media points out, “it does cost money — pay, fuel, the cost of the obstacles — to send National Park Service personnel out” to block off spots like scenic overlooks.
“It’s a cheap way to deal with the situation,” an angry Park Service ranger in D.C. tells theWashington Times. “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”

Some have pointed out that these kinds of reactions are meant to punish citizens and turn public opinion against the GOP for the federal government shutdown. Glenn Beck has told his audienceas much.
“They are teaching you a lesson,” Beck noted Thursday on TheBlaze TV, adding that the government preventing veterans from accessing their memorial – paid for by taxpayers and private citizens – also reflects a “you didn’t build that” mentality.
“This is beyond not wise. You don’t do that unless you’re building a thugocracy,” Beck said. “You come in with your stormtroopers and you say ‘shut it down,’ and you have to. They don’t care if they bully vets, shut down parks that don’t need to be shut down — they are showing you they’re in control.”
“We’re dealing with a whole new breed of people,” Beck said.  “They are setting up [that] theseare the bad guys…Because when things start to fall apart, they’re going to need somebody to say, ‘get em!‘”

In Syria we are giving arms to the Qaedist rebels, who have been torturing and decapitating women and children in Christian villages like Ma'aloula, the way they have done since Mohammed raided the Jewish Qureisha tribe in the 6thcentury.  In Kenya we are seeing the same mass murders of civilians at a modern mall, the pride of Nairobi.  Ordinary people taking cell phone picturesand videos are showing us the reality of America's bestial "allies" under Obama.
Yes, we are running arms to the worst murder gangs in the world, no matter how demonic they are.  That was the big secret of Benghazi: the United States was sending shiploads of Libyan arms to al-Qaeda in Syria.  Why?  Nobody in the media has even dared to ask that question.  If Obama does it, it has to be good.  But the media knew enough to bury the facts during the election.
In Syria, Sunni rebels are now an estimated 60,000 fighters, coming from the peace-loving Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, and Salafists.  Iran has poured in 20,000 fighters on Assad's side, from Hezb'allah and Iran itself.  Assad has his own army, supported by Russia, while the CIA has trained some thousands of "moderate rebels."  Guess who will win.  Not the outnumbered moderates, for sure.
The Center for Policy Studies has now exposed secret money streams from the Muslim Brotherhood to the Democrats.  That hidden flow of cash explains everything that made no sense before, going back to 9/11/01.  The MBs run layers of shell corporations to hide money for the Democrats from the IRS -- which isn't looking very hard.  The Clinton Center is one major conduit.  The Obama campaign is another.  The Democrats have a long history of corruption, going back to Boss Tweed; Joseph Kennedy, Sr.; and the Daley Machine in Chicago.  Today's "transnationalist" (socialist) Democrats are copying the European Union, which dances to the tune of Gulf oil money.  That is the seductive side of jihad, the propaganda war, which has rendered the American media deaf, dumb, and blind to the danger of Iran's suicide cult, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Saudis, and al-Qaeda.
This week, we also found out about Malik Obama, yet another half-brother of the president's, who turns out to be a big muckety-muck in -- you guessed it -- the radical Muslim Brotherhood.  Their slogan is "Our ambition is to die in the way of Allah!"  And naturally to commit murder and torture in the way of Allah, too.  This is an ancient evil come alive, with the active aid of the radical left in Europe and America.  Without the Western left, there would be no huge Muslim immigration flow into Europe and the U.S.  That is why famous "feminist" Naomi Wolf has signed on with Al Jazeera, the voice of the ancient desert patriarchy itself.
So here we see Malik Obama, with a big smile on his face and a dozen "wives"tucked away in his harem.
Want to see a real war against women?  Wherever sharia takes over, women are systematically intimidated, brainwashed, beaten, raped, murdered, jailed in their homes, and treated with contempt.  American feminists are so utterly deluded that they can't see crimes against women all over Dar al Harb, the House of War, right in front of their unseeing eyes.  And Obama's "alter ego," Valerie Jarrett, born and raised in Iran, can't be in any doubt about the facts.  She knows the facts, Obama knows the facts, and the only explanation is purposeful crisis-mongering: things have to get worse before they can get better.
That perverse logic failed for seven decades in the Soviet Union.  Under the glorious reign of Obama, it isn't working, either.  Leninism is nothing but personal animosity turned into government policy.
In civilized Iran, the mullahs just passed a pedophile-enabling law, allowing men to "adopt" young girls and then to officially "marry" them.  This is all fine according to the barbaric laws of the formerly great land of Persia, where child sex slavery, drugs, and pervasive tyranny are par for the course.

Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Avigdor Liberman said it was clear that Iran has no intention of slowing down its nuclear program, Israel Radio reported on Saturday.
Liberman, speaking during a cultural event in Beersheba, said that Iran does not have even a quarter of intention to slow it's nuclear program and every intelligence agency in the world is aware of that fact.

The outspoken Yisrael Beytenu MK echoed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's speech to the UN on Tuesday by saying that Israel was ready to meet the Iranian threat alone if necessary.

He added that it was better to fight alone and live, than to bow along with everyone else and explode in the sky.

Tensions between Israel and Iran have been high following the UN General Assembly, during which Netanyahu and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani traded accusatory barbs.

Rouhani has challenged Israel's reluctance to sign a treaty to dismantle all weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, while Netanyahu has called Rouhani's overtures to the US a guise for avoiding Western economic sanctions while continuing efforts to create nuclear weapons.

Former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman, who currently heads the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, said Saturday that there’s not even a “quarter of a sign” that Iran has slowed its drive to acquire nuclear weapons.
“All international intelligence agencies are aware that nothing has changed,” he was quoted by Israel Radio saying.

“Israel is prepared to deal with the Iranian problem. Even if we stand alone. It’s better to be alone and stay alive rather than toe the line and go up in flames,” he added.

Liberman was echoing several statements made by Israeli leaders recently — including Prime Minister Netanyahu, Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz, Deputy Foreign Minister Ze’ev Elkin and Likud MK Tzachi Hanegbi — warning that Israel was ready to act alone to defend itself, and intimating that Israel was concerned that the US might be duped by Iran’s current charm offensive into cutting a negotiated deal that would not block Iran’s route to the bomb.

If Iranian leaders give the go ahead, the regime’s nuclear team would be able to assemble a nuclear weapons “very fast,” Danon told theWashington Free Beacon on Wednesday, a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stood before the United Nations and warned of Iran’s genocidal intentions.

Danon reinforced that Israel has “the capability” to stop Iran’s nuclear pursuit should it come to that.

“Absolutely,” Danon said when asked if Israel is prepared to use force against Iran. “We have the capability to do whatever is necessary in the long range and short range.”

Tehran’s modest outreach to President Barack Obama has been accompanied by a quiet ramp up in its nuclear pursuit, Danon said.

Iran has continued to enrich uranium to increasingly high levels over the past months, even as it has promised to engage in negotiations with Western nations.

“If they like, it could be a matter of months, not years” before Iran crosses the nuclear threshold, Danon warned.

World leaders have become distracted by Iranian President Hassan Rowhani’s conciliatory rhetoric and forgotten to pay attention to the regime’s actions, Danon said.

“The most concerning issue is not ignoring the reality in the Middle East,” he said. “Some people think we have more time, but we say clearly, that’s not the case.”

The Iranian delegation’s visit to the U.N. “is allowing them to have more time,” Danon said, echoing comments by Netanyahu.
“You know why Rowhani thinks he can get away with this?” Netanyahu said. “Because he’s gotten away with it before. Because his strategy of talking a lot and doing little has worked for him in the past. … Rowhani thinks he can have his yellowcake and eat it too.”

Iv'e seen numerous articles on this site comparing the Tribulation with Nazi Germany. However after reading about the priests being threatened with arrest if they minister to the military during the shut-down, I'm convinced we're already there, since this is exactly what happened in Nazi Germany; and having parents who lived through 5 years of it I've heard too many horror stories. Obama certainly has the power to stop it but won't, which makes me convinced more than ever that he's downright evil. This leads me to 2 Tim.3:1-5 where Paul says in the last days people will become lovers of self. This certainly describes the situation in DC these days, where they're looking for their own self interest rather than the folks; and they won't even talk to one another. For born-again Chritians this means that we'll be vamoosing out of here real soon, since we,ve not only reached the point of no return; but are well past it.
