The Nearness Of The Hour

For years, I've been resisting doing a lot of commentary on this site, and that is based on a variety of reasons, but mainly because I don't want this site to ever be about me. The issues we discuss are too large and too important to focus anything relating to me and that includes doing a lot of commentary on how I personally feel about the various topics. My job is to reveal as much prophecy as possible (as relating to current news), to as many people as possible, as often and as effectively as possible. The scriptures and the news really speak for themselves anyway. I actually have a lot more to say on this topic, but then it will end up becoming about me (I've erased this introduction several times for that reason) and I want to avoid that - so in brief, I'll just say a few things that I have felt a strong urging from the HS to say - I've resisted doing this for a while now, but the sense of needing to say these things has persisted - so here it goes.

First of all - one of the things that has amazed me throughout my life, is the incredible people that God has always put in my path. I've been wonderfully blessed by these people and I have no doubt that for whatever reason, God has decided to bless me in this way and I am eternally grateful. The people I have met through this blog are no different, and those who have contacted me privately (I still have no idea how they do it) - and shared things with me and allowed me to be a small part of their lives has blessed me in more ways than they will ever realize. You know who you are and I thank you so much for every second of your valuable time. Those of you who are in the military, those who are missionaries and those of you are who deeply embedded in dangerous areas (and even risk communicating with me) - thank you too and please know that I pray for you constantly and I value our interactions.

And for those people who have somehow found their way to this site and hopefully have gained some level of encouragement at the nearness of the hour - I feel a certain inexplicable connection. This one is hard to explain. I believe that we will somehow be linked in New Jerusalem as prophecy watchers, and as a result, I so look forward to meeting together and sharing our various stories on how we came to Christ, how we discovered this incredible word of prophecy and how we spent these last days. I have a feeling this will bring some very interesting conversations!

There have been so many people who have taken their time and effort to give me words of encouragement and support and I just want you to know how much I appreciate it; it is so deeply touching - and again, thanks also go to God, who would be gracious enough to allow our lives to intersect in this way.

Secondly - I do indeed have a constant, unremitting sense that we are indeed approaching the very last days of this generation. This comes not only from the convergence of birth pains and the signs around us, but from an intangible sense that may come from the Holy Spirit. It seems very very close now and as a result, I seem to get a sense to "wrap things up" with the people around me and to say things that normally would go unsaid, whether it is simply expressing love, witnessing to the unsaved, telling people where we are on the prophetic timeline etc. - this list is pretty extensive.

As mentioned briefly in the previous post ("Hope Of The World"), I do believe now is the time to shift our focus. Indeed, we need to continue following the pertinent news stories as they relate to prophecy - but it is so late in the hour now - we should spend more time focused on Jesus and His imminent return for His Bride.

As stated so many times before - we can't forget the instructions from Jesus (Luke 21:28-31):

"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near"

"Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near"

We lift our heads in order to look towards Jesus. That is all we have now.

What a paradox. We are entering the darkest period that has ever been seen on earth ("For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now..." Matthew 24:21), yet we are to be filled with abundant joy in the midst of watching these things happening around us. How can that be? One word: Jesus.

We have the most epic celebration and reunion ever imagined coming up. Jesus awaits this as well with great anticipation. Remember His words at the last supper:

"I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom" (Matthew 26:29).

Why did He say this?
What was He referring to?

He knew that the Wedding Supper of the Lamb would be coming - when He reunites with His Bride, in Heaven and when He would indeed drink from that cup again (Revelation 19:7-9):

"'Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!

For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.

Fine linen, bright and clean was given her to wear.'
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)

Then the angel said to me, Write: 'Blessed are those
who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'

And he added, 'These are the true words of God."

Is the world becoming worse and worse in a general sense? Of course.

Is world-wide tyranny and totalitarianism just on the horizon? Absolutely, no doubt.

Is warfare and violence worsening? Yes.

Is persecution increasing around the world? Indeed.

Is the world's economic system on the verge of collapse? Undoubtedly.

Is the world completely 'upside down', where
good is viewed as evil and evil is viewed as good? Every day.

Should we be depressed? Scared? Fearful? Uncertain?  Absolutely not.
We have hope - the hope that can only come from one source - Jesus.

Remember His parting words to His apostles, not long before His arrest:
(John 14:1-6)

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Trust in God; trust also in me.

In my Father's house are many rooms;
if it were not so, I would have told you.

I am going there to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me
that you also may be where I am.

You know the way to the place where I am going."

"I am the way and the truth and the life."

Note that Jesus started this passage with these words:

"Do not let your hearts be troubled"
"Trust in God; trust also in me"

Those 14 words should be our mantra in these last days, as the darkness descends.

We know that He is coming for us, based on the prophetic words given - words that were given to us to give us comfort and hope during these dark days. Jesus is coming - otherwise there would be no hope at this time in history.

The apostle Peter clarified (2 Peter 1:19):

"And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as a light shining in a dark place..."

What a perfect characterization of the prophetic scriptures. Peter knew it would be dark times as we read these very words. He also knew that clinging to the promises contained within our prophecies should give us hope - as a "light shining in a dark place".

So, to summarize - we need to be focused on Jesus right now in these last minutes.

Focused on the hope and promises that He has given us.

Focused on the coming celebration - the coming wedding - the reunion with our loved ones who have gone before us.

The discoveries of New Jerusalem.

No more curse, no more sin.

No more pain, no more tears.

The light of God illuminating our new world.

Those who are controlling the earth right now have no idea of any of this.

They really do believe that they are all powerful and in total control, and indeed on this earth they are - they  have been granted that for a brief period.

But they cannot take away what is coming for us. They cannot take away Jesus and they cannot take away His promises. We have eternity as our focus. We have Jesus as our focus. We have an amazing future as our focus. They can't take any of this away.

But more importantly - and over and beyond all of this - we have Jesus awaiting.

Soon, we will be in His very presence. Imagine that. Ponder that. Focus on that.

Can you imagine that moment?

Brother Scott~

What a beautifully heartfelt sentiment that radiates from your spirit. I feel so blessed by this blog and it's members and the community it has created. For this I say as always a heartfelt thanks to all of your family. I am sure this takes time away from them too.

From my family here and on behalf of some of my local community who I share this with, we are grateful for the awakening and the teachings this site has provided over the years. This site adds clarity where lines can easily get blurred in selfishness and unrighteousness. It's a calm hand that always sweeps back over this place in the end. That has to keep coming from above. :)

For me, it was the awakening of the sad day in 2011 of Fukushima. It woke me up to the nuclear effect along with some small earthquake activity we were having here. Needless to say, the community was awake and I started to search. That is how I found your site. I now seen that was divine intervention.

We are forever grateful for God using you with the power of the HS to help us here. May God continue to use you all to the fullest for HIS glory and soon we all shall meet at the tree of life. From this site and because of the power of the wonderful messages and witnessing; I am able to use this a powerful tool on this end.

I can't wait! My family will get to meet you well as some dear neighbors very soon.

God Bless!!

gg2013, Just a question for clarification..
Are you the same GG or do we have two ?
I thought you had been here much longer than 2011. That's why this was confusing.

Hi Waterer-

I am the gg2013. When I came to the group there was a gg posting but it was not much. I had always used gods girls going for life but that one was just using a gods girl. To keep us separate I use gg. :). Then we went to blog sign in and it needed additional numbers.

I believe it was 2011, whenever that Japan situation happened. I also forgot to mention around that time I had a great rapture dream to which I was lead to make my first testimony on one if the other Christian forums. I believe it was something like chrisitan forum .net or something like that. As I had the dream I remember being told clearly to share the message. Prior to that I had not been on these types of blogs, I was scared but followed the prompting and the rest has unfolded as a wonderful blessing.

Since then while doing research for the other issues; I have gone back to the very first posts here and the rest is history as far as tracking and documenting etc. I have sense seen these other prophecy groups but are not part of them at all. This one is it for me by choice. Hope this helps clear up any confusion. :)

God Bless!!

Sorry.... that should be a gods girl posting, I came on as gg to keep them separate. I don't believe this gods girl ever posted as gg.

Then I went to gg2013 with blogger. :)

God bless Scott. I've thought of writing in support of your work many times. I look at many sites for prophecy news and you are always my #1 daily stop. You are blessed with insight for this very time to help bring in the final harvest. His boundless blessings to you my brother! GEM

Great post Scott. Thanks for your faithfulness. I didn't get tears just goose bumps of excitement and anticipation! Can't wait to see our Lord and friends here. I think most watchers are now sensing how little time we have left in the church age. It's surreal. The thing we have been longing for is now at the door step. Even so come Lord Jesus!

Perhaps today, WV :)

Scott....I feel like I need to weigh in also. To your question, I try to imagine that moment all the time, but I know my human mind cant even come close! It will be beyond words!

Thank you for your dedication, and faithfulness to this blog, to the Lord, and the sacrifice you have made over the years.

I believe I came here in 2008 or 2009, and it didnt take long to make this a daily stop...without fail! I too believe we are in 'wrapping things up' mode...and that we are sooooo close.

Thank you again for your dedication, and I cant wait to celebrate with my Prophecy Update the presence of the Reason we have all been here!

In His Service,

Thanks again, so much - to everyone. Each of your words mean so much, they really do. In addition to God's word, it is so comforting to be around like-minds.

Its funny...I was watching a show about some of the survivors from 9/11, and several times, people who thought they would die, spoke of how comforting it was to have people around them during that period...

Not that we are in that situation by any means, but to know that we all share the same devotion to the prophetic scriptures (when so few do) - and that we see the end coming - and we share in the excitement of Jesus coming. Its awesome that we can do that together.

And this may come out wrong - and by no means do I want to suggest that non-prophecy watchers don't love Jesus and don't want to see Jesus - they most certainly do. But - prophecy watchers, to me, seem to have the whole "excitement about seeing Jesus thing" to a different level. I also believe thats one reason we watch the signs - because they tell us that the moment we want SO BADLY - is upon us.

Its like being a kid at Christmas morning :) - only its constant and unremitting.

But the sense of urgency that I have had - was to just consolidate that connection with the people here and thank them all - including every comment above.

And its not that I desire any recognition - or anything like that - as I have stated many times, I always feel like I'm the biggest sinner in the room and the least worthy of any Christian - but that also makes me realize that I need Jesus all the more and His gift of salvation all the more.

I do believe we are just on the threshold - there are just too many converging signs and the intervals between birth pains is really getting small. We simply don't have that much longer here.

So as a result, I am finding myself wanting to say certain things to certain people before its too late. With us, I know we'll have eternity (and I also very very much believe that the crown of longing for Jesus' return) will somehow put us together and we will have a lasting relationship.

Thanks again - so much - for everything. I am so incredibly blessed and the fellowship and mutual 'watching' here is just another "God thing". No doubt. I can't wait to meet each and every person that has come here - especially those if us who have had conversations in the past - its going to be SO awesome to meet up in Paradise.

God bless - we can gather - arm in arm as we look up for Jesus.

Scott....I used that exact comparison the other a kid waiting for Christmas!

Just had to say that.....

What a beautiful message! Thank you so much Brother Scott for all your hard work and diligence! I am forever thankful that Jesus led me to this site. I look forward to reading this every day. I am in s very dark place, but I too, can see the glorious light that shines through. I have been and am in much pain. I am facing neck surgery, and have no support of no one but my Jesus. He is so good to me . Oh how I love Jesus! My mind has been on his returning for some time. Every day I ask him, " Abba today?". I look forward to meeting all of you here. God bless you all! I look forward to the meeting in the air! God bless you Scott, and what a great award Jesus has for you! I still have tears in my eyes from reading this, and I look forward to Jesus. Please remember me in prayers.

David H. yes indeed perhaps today! Come Lord Jesus.

Praying for relief of your neck pain Shirley. May God grant you relief.

Has anyone else noticed a number of great men of God have recently been dying? I just think it may potentially be another way God is trying to get our attention, that time is short?

I have opened your site every day, sometimes multiple times, for over a year now. I have never left a comment until now because I have little time to, but I enjoy reading most of the comments others post.

However, I had to respond to this one. Thank you for your vulnerability and transparency. I am feeling similar things that you have described and my longing grows each day to be in Heaven with Jesus Christ. At such a difficult time in our country, your message encouraged this body of believers, myself included. Thank you for your boldness and courage.

I know there are some who faithfully come to this site every day and read. I pray for those who do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Please, time is so very short. Choose you this day whom you will serve.

Dave, Heather, Alice

Thanks so much. Its an honor to be able to do this. Its funny (as I have said before) - I resisted doing this forever. for years people in various bible studies or church groups wanted to know why I didn't have a web-site and I always said the world didn't need another prophecy site - and it actually started as an email dist list...Which I got tired of maintaining, so I started this for about 30-40 people just because it was easier than a email dist list. Then after a year or so I was going to stop doing it when I thought I'd get a stat counter and see if anybody was even reading this stuff anymore and I was shocked that there were (back then) ~ 5-600 people daily. That was back in '08... I had no idea nor any idea how they got there. I thought there literally might be 3-4 people total from that bible study who still had interest. Pretty funny in retrospect.
