More News...

There are so many interesting news stories today, one post couldn't cover it. The Middle East is JUST on the brink:

"Lebanese Threaten Mass March on Israeli Border"

The anti-Israel flotilla has turned the tide of world opinion against Israel, Fatah leaders in Lebanon say, and the time is ripe for a mass civilian charge against Israel’s border.

Mounir Al-Makdah, a leading Fatah leader in Lebanon, says plans are being made for a mass charge against Israel’s northern border.

“Al-Makdah told the Lebanese newspaper Al-Sapir that the plans for the march are being made via letters to thousands of “Palestinians” living around the world inviting them to take part. “It could be that they will just break through the border, with their children and their elderly. What will Israel be able to do?”

“A wind of change has begun to blow,” he said, “and Israel has begun to be a yoke not only for the Palestinian nation, but for the whole world.”

“The freedom flotilla brings a message of the beginning of the end of Israel,” Al-Makdah said.hat can Israel do,” he asks, “kill the entire Palestinian nation [sic]?”

Perhaps the world is also on the brink. As shown below, the upcoming solar flares, which are described, and the subsequent electronic disruption would be very consistent with some of the events seen during the Tribulation:

"Electronic Armageddon? Congress Worries That Solar Flares Could Spell Disaster"

High-energy electric pulses from the sun could surge to Earth and cripple our electrical grid for years, causing billions in damages, government officials and scientists worry.

The House is so concerned that the Energy and Commerce committee voted unanimously 47 to 0 to approve a bill allocating $100 million to protect the energy grid from this rare but potentially devastating occurrence.

"The sun is waking up from a deep slumber, and in the next few years we expect to see much higher levels of solar activity," said Richard Fisher, head of NASA's Heliophysics Division. "At the same time, our technological society has developed an unprecedented sensitivity to solar storms."

It a recently released report, NERC cited recent analysis by Metatech and Storm Analysis Consultants that suggests "the potential extremes of the geomagnetic threat environment may be much greater than previously anticipated. Geomagnetically induced currents on system infrastructure have the potential to result in widespread tripping of key transmission lines and irreversible physical damage to large transformers."

Next week National Geographic Explorer will air a special on the topic, which warns that the risk also comes from terrorists. In "Electronic Armageddon," Explorer asks the viewer to "picture an instantaneous deathblow to the vital engines that power our society -- delivered by a weapon specifically designed NOT to kill humans, but to kill electronics."

While predicting the odds of a nuclear HEMP attack from terrorist groups are less certain, most experts agree that another source of an EMP, the sun, is imminent,” the show warns.

It is a scary world right now. But we must always keep in mind, that Jesus began His Olivet Discourse of end times by telling us to "fear not". I agree. We are supposed to be looking up for Christ's return in the midst of these signs, and as the Apostle Paul stated, the prophetic scriptures detailing the Rapture of the Church inform us that those words - those words of Jesus' return offer "hope and encouragement" among fellow believers.

So rather than having a spirit of fear, we are to have a spirit of hope and encouragement in the face of these signs.

Maranatha! He is coming soon!
