Chinese President Xi Jinping told Jordan’s King Abdullah that the Palestinians “are a core issue for the Middle East” in a meeting in Beijing, Chinese state radio says.
Xi called for a political solution, the resumption of peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel and for the swift “realization of Palestine’s… establishment as an independent state,” according to an official summary of the meeting broadcast on state radio.
