In a powerful speech, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán reaffirmed Hungary’s role as the last bastion of national sovereignty and Christian identity in Europe, vowing to resist the globalist forces of Brussels, Soros, and the war-driven Western elite.

In a thunderous national address marking the anniversary of Hungary’s historic 1848–49 revolution against the Habsburg Empire, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán delivered a bold and defiant speech that echoed through the streets of Budapest—and across the Western world. Speaking before a massive crowd of patriotic Hungarians, Orbán honored the past while declaring a present-day fight for Hungary’s soul, standing firmly against EU tyranny, globalist subversion, and the weaponization of the war in Ukraine.

“The essence of Hungarian freedom is eternal and timeless,” Orbán said, invoking the spirit of the 1848 revolution. “It has rumbled for centuries at the peak of time and history… Its origin goes back a thousand years, and it will certainly continue for thousands more on its path among the stars.”

March 15 is more than a date on the calendar for Hungarians—it is a holy symbol of national defiance, commemorating the day in 1848 when Hungarians rose up against foreign rule and demanded liberty, sovereignty, and self-determination. Orbán masterfully tied that moment in history to Hungary’s current struggle against modern-day imperial forces—namely, the unelected bureaucracy in Brussels, the Soros-funded political apparatus, and the cultural colonization of the West.

“The 15th of March is not a typical celebration for us,” Orbán declared. “It is a sacral moment… an eternal and inevitable day, and it will remain so as long as there is a single Hungarian living on this earth.”

Orbán made clear that Hungary’s fight is not just national—it is civilizational.

“Our struggle for freedom, just as it was in 1848, is not only the business of the Hungarians. Today, the battle is really fought for the spirit of the Western world.”

Rejecting Brussels and the New Empire

Orbán exposed the modern “empire” that now seeks to dominate Hungary—not from Vienna or Moscow, but from Brussels and Washington.

“The empire wants to mix, then replace its European natives with foreign civilizations, with invading masses,” he said. “It wants to transform the generation of our children and grandchildren from the healthy order of creation to the chaos of life against nature. The empire wants to remove the Christian order and culture from itself. And instead of peace, it wants to put us in the service of the gods of war.”

“We did not surrender. We did not allow them to occupy the country, nor the parliament, nor the government. For 15 years they have been unable to cope with us, and all their weapons have failed.”

Orbán directly blamed the EU for attempting to subvert Hungary’s sovereignty through blackmail, economic coercion, and media manipulation.

“They have not been happy with bribes, with money, with threats, with mercenaries, with Brussels… We have won four elections in a row, and for 15 years they have not been able to break into our defense lines.”

Turning to the war in Ukraine, Orbán accused the European elite of prolonging conflict for political gain—and trying to use Hungarian taxpayers to pay for it.

“European lords have decided that Ukraine must continue the war, whatever the cost. Then, in exchange, it will receive rapid Union membership—on our money.”

Orbán did not hold back: Hungary will not be dragged into this suicidal agenda

“We have only one answer to this: Union—yes. But without Ukraine.”
And, he added, Hungarians must have a voice in this critical decision:

“Let there be a referendum!”

Contrary to critics who accuse Orbán of wanting to leave the EU, the Prime Minister laid out a far more daring plan:

“We will not turn our backs on the European Union. On the contrary, we do not go outwards, but inwards. We will occupy it, and we will change it. In Brussels, too, history will take a turn.”

“We Did Not Kneel to the Soros Empire”

Orbán highlighted Hungary’s resistance to global financial control and liberal ideological infiltration.

“We sent the IMF home. We regulated the multinationals and the banks. We took back the Hungarian energy system. We put the entire nation-state in the service of the Hungarian people.”

He reminded the nation that even after the Ukraine war inflicted the greatest economic loss in the EU on Hungary, his government remained focused on protecting families:

Destroying the Shadow Army

Orbán also pledged to dismantle the “shadow army” of NGOs, journalists, and judges he says are bought and paid for by Brussels and foreign globalist interests.

“The bugs have survived the winter,” he said, referencing spring cleaning. “We will do away with the financial machinery that has bought politicians, judges, journalists, non-civil organisations, and political activists with corrupt dollars.”

“They are our new-age soldiers, the darlings of Brussels, who—against their country—are pushing the cart of the empire for money.”

He issued a stark warning to those collaborating with foreign interests:

“You may have changed into European party attire, but we know you well. Your masters are the same. Your plans are the same. And don’t hope: your fate will be the same as well. We will defeat you again, again and again, because swords shine brighter than chains.”

“Freedom belongs to the nation. This country, the country of the Hungarians, is ours. We do not desire anyone else’s, and we will not give it up. They cannot take it away by force, nor by threat, nor by flattery. And we will never compromise. We will never compromise. No, no, never.”
