San Miguel Achiuhtla, Mexico – A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck near San Miguel Achiuhtla, Mexico, early Saturday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The quake occurred at 03:19 UTC at a depth of 63.6 kilometers, with its epicenter located 5 kilometers east-southeast of San Miguel Achiuhtla. While the tremor was felt in surrounding areas, reports indicate minimal risk of significant damage or casualties.

According to USGS ShakeMap data, the earthquake registered an intensity level of IV, suggesting light to moderate shaking. A PAGER “Green” alert was issued, indicating low potential for economic losses or injuries.
