Trump ready to meet with Putin ‘anytime’

RT

US President Donald Trump has said that he is ready to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin anytime in order to discuss a diplomatic settlement to the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.

During a press conference at the White House on Tuesday, Trump repeated his earlier claim that if he had been president in 2022, the Ukraine crisis “would have never happened.”

“Russia never would have gone into Ukraine. I had a very strong understanding with Putin,” he stressed.

Trump described the Russian leader as “smart” and insisted that Putin launched the military operation in the neighboring country only because “he disrespected [then-US President Joe] Biden.”

The US head of state again insisted he is now interested in swiftly finding a way to stop the Ukraine conflict, saying: “I would like to see that end.”

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky “would like to have peace. He has told me that very strongly… but it takes two to tango,” Trump explained.

When asked about when he is going to hold face-to-face talks with Putin, he replied by saying: “Anytime they want – I will meet.”

“We are talking to Zelensky. We are going to be talking with President Putin very soon and we will see how it all happens,” the US president stressed.

Trump also said that Washington would “likely” slap additional sanctions on Moscow if the Kremlin refuses to engage in peace talks, and that his administration would “look into” the possibility of providing more weapons to Ukraine.

During a Russian National Security Council meeting on Monday, Putin commended Trump’s intention to resume contacts between Russia and the US, which had been halted by the Biden administration. However, he stressed that dialogue can only happen on an “equal and mutually respectful basis.”

The Russian authorities have noted Trump’s statements about Washington’s desire to restore communication links and “about the need to do everything to prevent World War Three,” Putin stressed. “Of course, we welcome such an attitude and congratulate the elected US president on taking office,” he added.

Moscow is “following media reports… that Trump allegedly instructed his team to contact Russia,” Ushakov stressed, adding that the Kremlin is open for discussions with the new US administration.

Relations between Russia and the US could improve under President Donald Trump, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has suggested. Both Moscow and Washington have recently signaled a willingness to engage in talks over the Ukraine conflict.

Putin congratulated Trump on taking office on Monday, and reiterated his readiness for dialogue with the new US administration. Trump's team has reportedly long been preparing for a call to with Putin to initiate a process aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict.

”We cannot say anything at the moment about the new administration’s capacity to negotiate, but still, compared to the complete hopelessness of the former US president [Joe Biden], there is a window of opportunity today, albeit a small one,” the diplomat said on Wednesday, speaking at the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of the USA and Canada.

On Tuesday, Trump said his team would be “talking with President Putin very soon” about settling the Ukraine conflict. During his campaign, the new US president repeatedly pledged to swiftly end the hostilities once in power.

Shortly after assuming office, Trump appointed retired Lt. General Keith Kellogg as his special envoy tasked with ending the conflict within 100 days, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

However, Trump said he does not rule out further sanctions against Russia if it refuses to engage in negotiations.

Sanctions only make your opponent stronger especially when they have the world’s most potent economy as a friend. In order to stop this conflict a realist needs to negotiate a plan to end the conflict. Remove money laundering, biolabs, Blackrock, and allow free and fair elections without CIA involvement. Establish a buffer zone without NATO expansion. Begin a true dialogue with a Christian nation to separate Russia from falling into the Silk Road atheist agenda of world domination. Right now the planet is being torn apart from competing satanic forces for total planetary domination all the while experiencing birth pangs from a biblical prophetic perspective, weather, wars, pestilence , fires, and earthquakes in remote places. Our Lord and Savior may be setting the stage for his return because humanity has reached the point where our Lord has to exercise his dominion.
