U.S. Fears That Russia Could Coordinate Militarily With China To Open A Second Front If It Attacks Taiwan.

Russians train Chinese in trench warfare for invasion of Taiwan - US: "Russia and China will attack together"

For the first time, the US has accused Russia of helping China prepare to invade Taiwan. US intelligence agencies have informed Congress that what seemed "unthinkable" a few years ago is now extremely possible:

Russia is not only training the Chinese Army but the two countries will synchronize to attack Taiwan.

The issue of a "joint invasion of Taiwan by Russia and China" was discussed in the US Congress.

By this, the Americans do not mean a joint attack on Taiwan by Russia and China but that Russia could coordinate militarily with China to open a second front if it attacks Taiwan. It is not yet clear whether the Americans mean another front besides that of Ukraine.

In more detail, the Director of the US National Intelligence Service, Avril Haines, spoke to Congress about the possibility of such cooperation.

“This is the first time we've seen China and Russia exercise together on Taiwan and recognize that this is a place where China definitely wants Russia to work with them. And we see no reason why they shouldn't do that," Haynes said.

At the same time, the head of the National Intelligence Service noted that there is a "borderless partnership" between the Russian Federation and China in many areas, including economic, political, as well as military and technological spheres.

The Defense Department stressed that it is " even more concerned about military power requirements in an environment where" Russia and China "will certainly cooperate, and we have to take that into account, " Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse said.

"The bottom line is, basically, if we had a conflict with one, chances are we're going to have a second front as well," which affects planning, equipment and manpower needs.

Russian and Chinese military forces, even if they are not interoperable, "would certainly be cooperative and we should take that into account in force structure and planning."

Haynes agreed that a two-front war is possible, while the likelihood "depends on the scenario."

Numerous videos show Chinese PLA soldiers using mock-ups of Taiwanese cities for their military exercises.

The Americans have identified a second Taiwan in the Inner Mongolia region. The Chinese had built an exact replica of the road network near the Presidential Palace in Taiwan.

Chinese forces are practicing taking Ukrainian-style fortifications and trenches in anti-FPV and FPV drone operations.

In several exercises, Russian officers also participate who guide the Chinese and transfer their experience from Ukraine on NATO battles and tactics.
