The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense "counted" about 1,500 Russian missiles ready for firing with the arrival of the frozen winter. Russia will hit Ukraine's energy infrastructure with waves of attacks.
Ukraine should "prepare" for Russian attacks on its infrastructure this winter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned, citing a possible increase in attacks.
"We must prepare for the possibility that the enemy will increase drone or missile strikes on our infrastructure," Zelensky said in his daily address.
"All our attention must be focused on defense (...) on what Ukraine can do to help our people get through the winter ," he said.
Russia has fully replenished its missile stockpiles… – 4 times up Russian production
Russia effectively stopped hitting Ukrainian targets with high-precision missiles long ago, using kamikaze drone attacks exclusively.
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, the Russian command is stockpiling missiles to carry out mass attacks on critical infrastructure with the arrival of cold weather.
Kiev says the Russian defense industry has managed to replenish its stocks of high-precision missiles with a range of more than 350 km.
According to the official representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Vadim Skibitsky, today the Russian army has almost the same number of missiles as it had a year ago, before the start of the invasion of Ukraine.
In total, Ukrainian intelligence "counted" 870 missiles, but warned that the numbers are approximate and there is no exact figure. Of the available quantities, the Russian army has:
165 Kalibr cruise missiles, 160 Kh-101, Kh-555 and Kh-55 missiles, 290 Iskander-M and Iskander-K missiles, 80 hypersonic Kinzhals and 150 X-22/X-32 missiles.
It is noted that despite the sanctions imposed, the Russian industry has reached a level of missile production that allows the storage of large numbers.
This summer, Skibitsky said that Russia increased its missile production volumes by 3-4 times.
